They couldn't even get me a replacement. if they had one, it'd be around $300 (aluminum, not Stainless Steel). I found a close aluminum replacement online for $121. But I still wanted to get the original one repaired. Took it to Indy Prop Shop and Scott Clayton, the owner said he could fix it and went to see if he had the part. Yes, he did and he fixed it while I waited. $10.00. If you have a damaged prop, don't do anything until you check with Scott!

What I got was a boat with a…read morewater-logged engine (crankcase full of water) that needed a rebuilt engine, a non-working bilge pump, seaweed in the blower fan and a stereo that didn't work. There were holes in the transom where the boarding ladder should have been and there were no drain plugs. To make matters worse, there was a large hole and a crack in the bottom of the boat in the "ride plate". If the boat were put in the water it would sink. Perhaps that accounts for all the seaweed that formed a waterline about halfway up the inside of the hull? Then, to make matters worse, he failed to provide a Bill of Sale or title for the trailer and now refuses further contact. I have photographic evidence of everything, just e-mail me or instant message on Facebook.

Serial # is required for registration. the LV34 Module was mounted under my trolling motors recessed foot controller box, which now has a crossover bar with a 126SV monitor mounted on it. I have to take everything apart that was installed to take a photo of this serial #. I would think they would want this information for the install so they can keep up with what they installed. The quoted price was much lower than the final installed price. Get everything in writing and ask for serial numbers prior to them installing.

I had two other folks look at the boat to see if they could determine what was going on with it with no success. I called a few other places and it was going to be in the shop for weeks as they had a backlog. Dry Dock had me bring the boat in and did an initial review of it prior to telling me it would be weeks before they could get to it. During that initial assessment they found a short in the wiring that caused my ignition not to fire. We were boating later that Day thanks to their customer Service. Since then the boat resides in Cumberland so I haven't had it back in to them but when ever I need parts for Maintenance & Service Dry Dock is always a pleasure to deal with. He got violent when I questioned this yelling and cussing and throwing papers in front of my 6 and 8 years old grandchildren. After all this I had issues with repairs which he charged me more for and then today had someone else call and inform me that he would not winterize my boat....probably because he had told me he would do any winter issues for half due to all of the delays. Plus he was still supposed to finish painting and change outdrive oil to check on his other work because he was worried about the problems he had. They sent me to South Florida where, for the first five years of my Federal Law Enforcement career, I was a Special Agent, assigned to Marine Drug Interdiction. In addition to that experience, I have owned and operated boats since the mid '70's. I am an experienced Boat Operator, and I have a 100 Ton Ocean Master's Certificate. In late 2019, we replaced our Scarab with a 2020 NauticStar 2302 Center Console, a design favored by Law Enforcement everywhere. We bought the boat from Coast to Coast Marine in Somerset, KY who recommended Sick Speed Marine to install the electronics. I like a boat outfitted with the equipment I am used to - VHF, RADAR, SONAR, Directional Remote Controlled Searchlight, etc. I've found that most local boaters do not use VHF radios - a must have option in South Florida where this boat will spend much of it's time. My friends would characterize me as being somewhat "OCD," and others might use more colorful adjectives but, suffice it to say, anything less than first rate equipment, properly installed, and fully functional is wholly unacceptable to me. The sea is an unforgiving place, and on more than one occasion, my safety has depended upon it. I was offered a fair price, and I accepted the proposed invoice as written, with the understanding that everything would be professionally installed.
