I'll lean the piece to the left, as you mentioned, and keep the top open rather than dense, so the height reads as tall and architectural rather than heavy!" Perfect. The arrangement in the second photo is what we received. I expressed our unhappiness and was told we'd be charged extra for the design we originally wanted. I went back to the owner, Jill, who said she had "misinterpreted the design." They redid it urgently. We still don't love it, and when we asked about the materials used, we were told, "No, the commission covers the design, sourcing, and construction time of the finished piece, not a quantity of stems." So we're being charged for the materials from the first arrangement but not getting any of them back. We ended up paying nearly $500 for something Jill misinterpreted. I appreciate that it's an artistic piece that takes time to create, but this experience has been frustrating. It's sad that I can't recommend them, and reviews like this are written to warn buyers.
