The store is right off of 84 and pretty easy to get to. It offers a nice sized parking lot. Like many of its comparable stores in the area, it offers a wide array of items. The store is fully stocked from antiques, to toys, to collectibles, to clothes and even furniture. The price point is on par with other vendors of the same assortment type. I have passed this place from the highway and always wanted to stop here on the way home from visiting our sons upstate at college: Last weekend I missed closing time by 5 minutes, so we tried again today. We arrived around 5:35 and within 5 minutes we were approached by a woman letting us know that we would have to make our purchase by 5:45 because they have to do security checks. We walked around more taking it all in and enjoying looking at all of the items. She was walking around ringing a bell to let people know they were closing. Closing time is listed as 6pm! As we continued our search a man walked in at 5:45 and he asked for 10 minutes. she said no, so he left. We subsequently left as well. Listening to a bell ring while trying to shop was distracting, and to be honest if you close at 6, I get it, but I felt as if people were being forced to leave. I'm not sure if she is one of the owners, but I was totally turned off by this experience. read more

Just left Newburgh Vintage Emporium. Always saw it from the highway and never went in until today. Place is HUGE! They have so many antiques... You can spend hours in the store looking at everything! Alot of things in the store my mom has from my grandma which was pretty cool to see what the going rate for items is in case she ever wants to sell anything. Every employee that we met today was really nice and helpful. My favorite section of course was the old antique cameras and the records! read more

This vintage shop is like stepping back into time. So many neat vintage and antique items from many era's, even the 1800s! I went to their "original outdoor flee market" event which had 2 food trucks, yumm! The day was made for it, sunny and warm. I purchased a small vintage beaded night purse. It was faded but had no tears and all it's beads. Newburgh is a ways out of my way so I usually try to go there twice a month. Sometimes just to gawk all the goodies (ha!) From furniture to clothes, to books and home decor to art. It has something for everyone. I literally can be there all day, staring at each item! My shortest trip was 3 hour's there, you can only imagine how my long one would be, till closing time haha. Last winter I bought a vintage ceramic Christmas tree. Omg! I had scoured the internet for one and a) couldn't them or b) they were super expensive. So you can imagine my delight when I found one here. On that particular trip I bought vintage fabric and made some halter tops for the summer. As well as a collection of pennies from every state that were in a frame. Definitely recommend this place. I love this place! The Newburgh Vintage Emporium is smaller than the Ware-house, but it has a more curated selection of items. You'll find an amazing inventory of quality furniture, art, records, and knick knacks. Personally, I enjoy going to the Ware-House more because it's massive, and I can walk around for hours looking at everything. They're always rotating items, so you can return again and again. read more

Not really worth the trip, mostly due to the absolutely insane prices. This is not a 'thrift' store in any way, but if you have more money than you know what to do with, you'll probably be into the weird selection here, if you can wade through the holier-than-thou vibes. Been here three times hoping for something to shine through; I think the only time I bought anything was when they hold their parking lot tag sale and marginally reasonable vendors come out. But unfortunately, the parking is so disorganized that it's nearly impossible to get in, out, or through. If you're really into finding cool things that haven't been curated to their highest possible price point, this is not the place. This is all pretty boring. If you're a trust fund hipster or a filthy city rat up for the weekend, have at it. read more

If I could recommend one antique shop in Newburgh, it would be Vintage Emporium. Vintage Emporium has a large selection of items from the 20th century. They have items ranging from record players, cameras, model kits/trains, clothes, books, toys, furniture and more. I got an old polaroid camera from here and it's perfect for use or as a display piece. Some prices can be high but almost everything is at a good price. We stopped in to check out what deals they had and we weren't really impressed. First of all two of the workers must have walked past our group 8/9 times the whole time we were in there. Did they thing we were stealing or is that protocol? That really just made me want to leave. Overall they have a lot of items but we just didn't see anything we liked. A lot of sections are super packed and hard to even see everything they have and you also have to be careful not to knock anything over with your purse due to the small walking spaces in most sections. I've always enjoyed shopping at Salvation Armies, Tag/Flea Market Sales, Thrift Stores- I don't care what the freak you call them- I like them all! What some people perceive as "ugly"- I get a thrill out of it and see beauty in it. And lately, shopping Vintage, has been my sh*t. But professionally, we also, have been looking for ideas. I've had Newburgh Vintage on my mental list for a few weeks now and was looking forward to visit. We'd finally taken a detour to stop by- before driving home on a late Sunday evening. (You can't miss their huge lot- it's right off 84). So what the heck is this? Well I was lost myself! But I'll try to explain it to you real simple: See it as a mini flea market- except it's indoors. Then each vendor, rents a "booth" and hooks it up with his or her own style- full of freaking antiques. So for instance, one vendor's booth had all things Music. Another vendor showcased "Camping/Outdoors" stuff. Somebody else had rustic Mirrors of all kinds. And another displayed a "French" theme. Mind you, every freaking booth, has items that are truly, one of a kind. Newburgh Vintage Emporium was the best of both worlds for us. I can buy things I like for my home but also, things that I'd like to purchase for our business in the near future- closer to home. Mish (who's an artist) had a gorgeous demeanor and I clicked with her right away. She gave us some insight that was greatly appreciated. Everybody- and I mean everybody there, was chill including Troy- the owner who had an awesome personality. A unique business model that you don't see often and it works. This antique store is absolutely amazing & just the best hidden gem I've ever been to. Everything is displayed in a booth type of setting which makes it easy to find precious items. I personally think that it's quite organized with books, estate vintage jewelry, vinyl records, retro clothing/shoes, portraits of famous people, furniture, and much more! I'm glad to have found a great find.... a beautiful bracelet that was probably made in the early 70's. My friend got the baroque 4 strand pearl necklace -so stunning! read more

I highly recommend this enormous antique warehouses - the original has around 40 and the second (close by) 75! Each section is perfectly organized and styled, no dust anywhere. You could spend hours there. The pricing is transparent and the staff is friendly and helpful. There's furniture -lots of gorgeous Mid-Century pieces, also Heywood Wakefield furniture, lamps, decorative items (I got a rare tall tabletop Art Deco ceramic flower pot that I'd been looking for for years), clothing, records, and more. It is outside of the main downtown quadrant, which can be pretty blown-out. It's setup so that there are separate vendors/themes in each area within the store - from vintage phones to vintage jewelry to vintage cooking utensils, you'll find that the more you look, the more gems you'll discover. As someone who loves street fairs and flea markets, this was the perfect combo of both. We had some time to kill and I tried a onyx ring that I'm now regretting that I didn't purchase! This is a wonderful collective gallery of dealers exhibiting a wide array of antiques and furniture. There is easy parking, and the purchases I've made from them they have been most accommodating in holding while I was away. DO negotiate price; a discount of 50% is not unheard of. Came in to shop for the first time today. It was a rainy Friday morning and hubby and I were exploring the vinyl records at Sound Shack booth along with some other vendors that had LPs there. Francine welcomed us when we arrived and told us how things worked there. She invited us to help ourselves to free Keurig hot beverages which was nice. We came away with some very cool records and enjoyed browsing the vintage and antique items. They even have a collection of "retro candy" which will entertain the kids. Visited the warehouse. They seem to cater to the uppity hipster or wealthy interior designer who may be willing to pay their prices. They must be charging their vendors an arm and a leg as many items are priced twice the amount a well seasoned private collector should be willing to pay- unless it's their "holy grail". Medium-sized former retail building divided up into about 30 to 40 individual stalls. Okay place to walk around and kill some time. But pretty run of the mill as far as antique store fare is concerned, nothing especially rare or unique. If you're in the market for an old wooden sled or Schlitz beer clock, you will leave a happy customer. Been here a few times and found the staff to be rude and arrogant (which I guess is par for the course for most antique shops). Although, one time I was very obviously followed down the aisles by someone that worked there. Today I went this store and found a cute little teapot. As we were looking through the aisle for more stuff. This lady came running from behind the registered grabbed the teapot and said "ooh let take that for you" like I was stealing it. There was 2 other ladies in the same aisle they looked at me and said "she didn't take our stuff to the front" I told them you just witness racial profiling. I have been to the other store near the highway and never have anyone ran behind me to take anything or showed any disrespect what so ever. Love this store, total treasure hunt! Managed to spend hours and bought a number of treasures, all pretty reasonably priced, although I agree that some items were a little over priced, but that's to be expected, this is not a garage sale or a thrift store. The place is huge, they sell snacks which is great, you can literally spend half a day there. Staff was friendly, always going up to me to offer to take my finds to the register, which was very nice. The good news-both of these antique malls are HUGE and worth checking out if only once. The bad news - the percentage of great antiques is small and prices are HIGH. Alot of just meh stuff. The location probably attracts city weekenders/ hipsters heading up to the Catskills. Noticed a few dealers with Brooklyn locations. But for a serious collector looking for a real unique find this place is a crapshoot geared to tourists. read more

My wife and I love this antique shop, or, vintage emporium. We are semi-regulars and have gotten to know the owners and some of the staff, all of which are super friendly. We've made a few purchases there including a corner hutch for our kitchen and a beautiful repurposed chair for our bedroom. Every time we go there there is something new and unique. Highly recommend stopping in and checking the place out, if not for all the cool stuff then at least for the complimentary coffee/hot chocolate. On a side note, I know a few celebs have even stopped in from HGTV to pick up a few things so that's pretty cool. read more

I used to love this store. I recently spent about $1,000.00 in a single purchase but won't be returning. I brought an elderly family member with me to shop and she needed to use the restroom. They refused to allow her to use the restroom. A woman gave a bs excuse about the building being too old. I just couldn't believe she wouldn't make an exception for a 90 year old woman to use the employee restroom. Also, there were dogs all over the store which I don't have a problem with, but one of them had urinated all over the floor. Dogs can pee inside, but humans have to go outside to use the porto-potty! I called and reported this to the owner, but he just backed up the story about the bathroom that the employee had given me. Thumbs Down Newburgh Vintage Emporium! No stars for you! read more

I was there last summer. I purchased a wicker chair for my daughter's bedroom and a few other items. Wonderful store with lots of items to see and purchase. If you are looking for a rare collectable item chances are that they have it. Walking inside the adorably decorated themed sections is worth taking the trip. I love this place.
