Pat's Place - Before his groom

    Pat's Place

I had gone to Pat's place a handful of times, with my now 2 year old doodle…read more At first visit, the grooms were fine. Nothing amazing, but they definitely got the job done. However, with each visit, both groomers would continuously would give me unwanted medical advice. They'd tell me that my dog was extremely overweight and that I was putting pressure on his poor bones. They'd continue to question me on the food I was given him and the amount. They'd say he had ear infections that needed to be treated right away. I'd politely tell them that all medical concerns I'd address with my vet. Which I did, and my vet confirmed there was no ear infection and his weight fine. (Two separate occasions) After the first two visits, the grooming itself started to be less impressive. At one visit, my doodle had ran Into a wall that I was painting and he ended up getting paint on his fur. I took him to Pats Place the following day, and when I picked him up the paint was still on his fur. And still asking me with each visit how much food I was feeding him. I finally told them that I was tired of them asking and bringing it up every single visit. This last visit, was the final straw. My husband dropped him off and had asked to shorten his hair, and to keep his the length on his ears and tail. To much of my surprise, when I picked him up he was completely shaved. Ears, tail, legs, belly. Everything. I said ," oh my gosh, he is shaved." They said, "Your husband said to." I said, "I doubt my husband would have said that because that's not what we discussed." She continued to tell me that they had to shaved him because he is overweight, and he ear infections and a rash on his belly. I had enough. I knew that would be the very last time I'd take my doodle to Pats Place. This was two weeks ago, an wasn't sure if I should even take the time to review. However, after taking my dog to his annual check up and got confirmation again from my vet that his weight/ears were fine and that the groom was to closely shaved to his body I got really upset. After giving Pats Place about 6 months chance we will be going elsewhere for our business. We will get a groomer that is going to listen to our request as far as grooming goes and not continually tell put their personal feelings/advice when unasked.

I usually don't leave reviews with places, however Pats Place deserves one! As a local groomer,…read morethey are nothing short of fantastic. I have taken my parents dogs here for over a year now, and no matter what poor shape I take her in they never fail to groom her wonderfully. I just dropped my parents dog and my dog off there, and I am so excited to pick them up! Sweet groomers, great prices, and wonderful grooms

    Lee's Dog Training

    Lee's Dog Training

We have a 9 month old yellow Labrador retriever who likes to pull you everywhere on her leash…read more Constantly barks and cries at everyone and constantly greets everyone by jumping all over them. We tried a bark collar and that helped some with barking but the rest it did not correct. So I was getting a lot of heat from family members seeing this lab pulling me around when taking her outside for potty breaks, etc. and my constantly yanking her back by her collar and yelling at her for commands that did not work, not a safe or good thing to be doing. So we reached out to Lee's Dog Training for suggestions and shortly gave our Labrador to Lee's Dog Training to get control of our dog. Well instantly upon arrival Lee came out to greet us and took over with the leash provided. Shortly Lee installed his training collar on our Labrador and it was like a light switch was switch, amazing results in listening instantly. We went ahead and left our Labrador for a week and within 3 days Lee's called implied our Labrador was ready to be picked up, she was amazing on her abilities to learn and follow commands given. So anxiously my wife and I went to pick up our Labrador from Lee and upon arrival, Lee's showed my wife some things our Lab has learned and worked with my wife on how to take the leash and continue training at home. Well once at home all we can say is that this isn't the same girl anymore, her personality came out better, she listens, she performs to commands and she no longer pulls me around and she only greets guests once we release her to welcome them with "NO JUMPING" on them anymore. Our guests are amazed by our Lab performance and manners, they state this is not the lab they got to know and that the money was well spent at Lee's Dog Training. We would without a doubt recommend Lee's Dog Training to anyone who is looking for that Professional Trainer. We give Lee's (5) stars for their abilities, care and patience shown . Terry & Fay E.

Please people for your dogs mental and physical health stay away from Lee's dog training. Lee's…read moredog training consists of drilling commands into your dogs head with a pinch collar in just one week ( witch can be a physical and mental strain on your dog like it was on mine) and then you have to fishish his job for him . I have reached out to Lee's dog traing about my concerns of my dog and he said that my dog did not look bad and that he is not listening to commands at home because I am too soft on him and that my dog being physically scared of the commands is my dog challenging me . I told him I was not happy and I wanted my money back and now he will not answer my phone calls or text. My dog Leo went to the vet 2/7/2025 his wieght was 54.20lbs. He went to Lee's dog training 2/8/2025 for training and one week of board we picked Leo up on 2/21/2025. Took Leo to the vet and is no now 49.80lbs after being home for a few days and being fed so at pickup he was probably lower than that. Which he is going to jump on here saying he fed my dog that he gave me a almost empty bag of food back. But pictures and weight don't lie. The colar in the picture was tight on Leo at drop off now I can put my whole hand between his neck and collar. I have all the paper work to prove all of this. So please just stay away from Lee's dog traing and spread the word.
