This company is awesome! I am working on a small electric guitar project. I needed two small instrument control plates cut. I brought in some dxf files I had made of the plates I wanted cut. Peter walked me through my options for metal and I chose stainless steel so that it could be polished. The job was done professionally and the turnaround time was very quick. Great communication and I could not be more pleased with the product he produced! It fits into the guitar perfectly! read more

Customer Beware…read more Here's another negative review, I had my heads repaired at Claros Heads months ago and they looked like they were good. BUT! they didn't hold a seal, down below I have the images of my heads at the engine shop who's building my engine. As you can see the images the dial is in the red showing a leak. The technician also shows a test with his finger showing it in the green as he was holding it down with his finger. I gave Claros a chance to run through the heads once again and make things right. They performed a test in front of me by pressing down on the compressor and letting air pass. The test is supposed to consist of pushing air into the head and releasing the air and watching the gauge remain in red to ensure the integrity of the seal. That wasn't the case. I already paid cash up front, and Luis who is the owner was already having an attitude and claiming not to believe shops when I have video proof. Please do your due diligence and look up videos on how to test heads prior to coming hear if you wish to give them business. I understand he's been in the business for 50 years but hey, I'm sure he has the luxury of having his technicians do the job as he supervises. The shop I went to showed me multiple heads that remained in the green with 0 leaks. The leak I was at was 80%. This was unexceptional.

Then the next morning i call to confirm before i deliver my head and he says $75.00. Ok...fine...i take it then i send a friend to pick it up and my buddy says hes charging him $90 plus $5 for using a credit card/atm. Then my buddy says that he was told 75$ so the guy drops the price to $80.00. I have never heard of such worst customer service than this. Im even wondering if they even resurfaced my head or performed any work to it. Never again. Steer clear, stay away, dont even think about it. I read their google review and some guy said they never replaced their seals on their head. What is wrong with these clowns at this shop?

It was my first time going to a machine shop to get a Volkswagen AWM 1.8T cylinder head decked…read more Luckily, Rik there helped me out. I didn't know you had to remove a lot of components and pretty much get to the bare head. Well, with his experience, he was able to close the valves and get a good clamp on it so he could get a clean cut on the head. He called me back in a couple of hours once it was done. From the decking process, lots of aluminum material gets into the nooks and crannies. I had to use an air compressor to remove most of the loose aluminum. I was able to install the cylinder head and now that car is running with no issues with leaking from the head gasket. Excellent work and a great price! I'd go back for more work to be done.

My only gripe as a very amateur DIYer was for a starter replace on my Sienna, they quoted me $500 and change. 15 minutes later I was on my way to pick up a denzo from a local Toyota dealership that ended up costing me about $200 after the core refund. Changing this starter cost me a ten minute YouTube video and about 20 minutes of work. A ratchet, an extender, and three metric sockets. Bananas. This repair was easier and cleaner than an oil change. I get it that it's a shop. I get that not every starter is going to be this easy, but you can walk over to a parking stall with the new starter and bang out two or three of these per hour if you're a professional. If you need quality Toyota parts quick, this is your next best thing to a dealership.

A friend recommended Patton's Steel in Irwindale. I inquired via email, and a person named Cody Robinson got right back to me the next day. He gave me a quote for a steel 12-ft piece of 11-gauge square tubing 1.5 in x 1.5 in x12 ft. I had looked at other places, but the prices were crazy, and to have it delivered was, in some cases hundreds, of dollars. I had a few more questions, and Cody answered them promptly. He made me feel very comfortable working with their company. He stated that the product would be on will call for me at the Ontario location which was great because it was on my way home from Fontana. I let him know that I had Thursday off so I would pick it up then, and he said no problem just go to the front desk. I did just that and within about 10 minutes I had a 12-ft square tubing made of steel at my disposal. I really didn't need 12 ft, so I asked them if they could cut it to 10 and I didn't need the scrap. The person with whom I delt, said that was not a problem he took it and cut it to a 10 ft length--perfect. The staff knew their product well and it was very nice to deal with people that knew exactly where product is and how to get it to the customers in a timely manner. Now the Ontario location is a retail location, so I thought it might be more expensive, but I was wrong. Out the door the price was $54.38. I brought $54.40 thinking they wouldn't have pennies, but much to my surprise they did have change and I got two pennies back, I guess two cents for my thoughts hahaha.. This location, has all kinds of tubing, posts, solid and hollow, whether they be square cornered, round, long or short. I was amazed at the selection that they had. If you have need to make a brace for a tree or need to make a cage or tubing for some reason, this is the place to go.

I called them on a Monday, and they were there Tuesday morning for a driveway and backyard pressure…read morewash. I was very worried about my sandstone walkway that leads to my door, but they were very careful and gentle with it, while still getting the dirt off. Fito Parra arrived on time, with a truck that held a lot of really specialized equipment; this wasn't a side-job, but a profession, and I could tell that he really cared about what he was doing. He was able to get tough stains out on a patio that had not been cleaned for probably 15+ years. I had bought a power washer from BestBuy and tried to do it myself, but it took me an entire Saturday to literally do a quarter of what he did in almost four hours. Fito/KC Power Clean uses steam, some light chemicals (or you can say no) and industrial power wash equipment. I was also very impressed by how he cleaned the dirt splatter off the walls, and did an excellent job. My driveway and patio looked brand new! Kevin followed up asking how the service went, and sending me before and after pictures, which was another professional touch. I'd recommend looking at their Youtube channel and watching what these guys are about. They seem to take care of their employees, their customers, and are growing the business, which is nice to see. I could have paid someone else less to use Lowes/HomeDepot pressure wash equipment and chemicals or simple green, and my patio would have looked just a bit better. But considering this is licensed, insured, and the equipment on the truck was professional (for example, they have some motor on it that heats the water to make the steam, and a machine that could wind the hose back up), I felt that there was significant value. I will be using them again for other services and have already recommended them to my parents and my neighbor. I will also be referring them to my HOA to do their pressure washing. Thank you!!
