Recently I had some issue with my 2005 E85 Z4 convertible roof hydraulic, and my mobile mechanic couldn't fix it fully so he sent me to Lee's shop here. Lee was very professional and friendly, and you can tell he knows his stuff right away. I left my Z4 for 24 hours and was able to get that fixed and picked up today working like NEW. As professionals, there's no buts and maybes, he was able to get to work and call me and said, "you car is ready", that's wassup and why you bring your car here and not some guessing mechanics. They are priced reasonable and you really pay for what you get for quality and service work, even gave me 1 year warranty on the job. it's funny that I wrote them a review 10 years ago that if I ever had any roof issues I would bring to them when I had my 335is, and ironically I was sent here to get it fixed last week. I took my Bentley to this shop to replace the soft convertible top. The top had a small rip on the side--purely cosmetic--but it was functioning perfectly. I chose this place based on the reviews. I gave him the deposit he requested. A few weeks later, I brought the car in for the top replacement. When I picked up the car, things went downhill fast. The convertible top no longer opened properly--you had to manually push it to get it moving. Lee told me this was normal. I trusted his explanation, but I shouldn't have. After just 7 or 8 uses, the top stopped working altogether. On top of that, I noticed the trunk didn't close evenly, and the alignment was visibly off. Parts of the convertible plastic now stick out awkwardly--it just doesn't look right anymore. I had taken in a perfectly functioning convertible with a minor cosmetic issue and was handed back a car with a top that didn't work and looked worse. I called Lee and asked to bring the car back, expecting that he would take responsibility. Instead, he immediately blamed the flap motors and insisted the problem had nothing to do with his work. He also claimed he never touched the trunk. told me that I just bought the car with problems and I'm trying to put it on him. Not true I own the car over 4 years and I had no issue with it what so ever. This was frustrating because just before I brought it to him, my mechanic had thoroughly tested the convertible system--opened and closed it about 10 times without any issues. I politely asked Lee to fix the issues. He kept the car for two days, but when I came to pick it up, all he gave me was a printout saying he had run some tests and that the problems weren't his fault. No solution, no apology. When I told him I might take legal action, his response was extremely rude. As I was leaving, he said, "Don't hit the tree on your way out." That was completely uncalled for. Bottom line: I brought in a beautiful Bentley with a fully functional top and left with a car that has a non-functioning convertible, cosmetic issues, and a clear lack of accountability from the business. I would not recommend this place to anyone--especially not for high-end vehicles. read more

Lee is absolutely the best - STELLAR WORK, HONEST AND FAIR. He replaced a ragtop on my '04 Z years ago and fixed the sunroof on my '94 CRX. The top on the Z has had zero issues. It was installed tightly and the quality is great. The CRX is even more impressive. The car is vintage and the sunroof panel was corroded, so it was impossible to find a replacement part, but I was able to have it customized and fabricated. Lee was able to install the piece without damaging any of the original hardware, and then, got the motor running again! He could have easily told me that I needed a new motor or to rebuild it, which would have been way more costly. Instead, he was genius and determined that the connection had some corrosion on it and was able to get it cleaned up and working!! This was a less expensive fix and this meant a lot to me since I have been having some hardship. read more

I had an excellent experience with Lee! I called him to explain my issue, and right away he sounded like he knew exactly what the problem was. That gave me the confidence to drive over, and sure enough, he confirmed this was a repair he specializes in. I felt so relieved because I had already called at least five other shops and no one could give me a clear answer. I left a deposit on Thursday planning to drop off my car Friday, but had to reschedule. Lee actually reached out Saturday morning and offered to pick up my car at no extra cost. I have a classic VW Bug hardtop sedan, which I've had for a good number of years now, and I'd always wanted to have a ragtop sunroof put in it, which was an option when the car was new. I found a kit by a manufacturer that came well-recommended and ordered it, and after some searching around, I found AAA Sunroof and brought the car by for a quote. We set up a date for me to leave it, and over the period the car was being worked on, Lee sent me update pictures of the progress- I couldn't wait to pick it up, it looked great. My 2013 BMW X1 sunshade under my sunroof jammed and wouldn't open. The original fabric covering delaminated and wedged, causing the track to lock up. BMW wanted almost $8000 to fix it. Shopped around and found AAA Sunroof Services. The owner, Lee diagnosed the problem and agreed to repair it. I had to wait 2 weeks to get in the queue as he is very busy. He did the repair, reattached the fabric and replaced the parts that had broken in the track, all in 1 day! The repair is flawless and works like new. For a quarter of the cost of the BMW dealer, Lee did a perfect repair. I recommend his services very highly. He disassembled my rooftop driver's side gearbox assembly and rebuilt it using some of my parts along with parts that he repurposed from a previous Porsche. He is your guru and is fairly priced! The details: I took my all original "garage queen" 1996 993 Porsche cabriolet out for a short drive on Sunday, March 9, 2025. It was a beautiful day so I lowered the top. When I attempted to raise it back up, I heard a strain in the closure mechanism and had to manually manipulate it to close. I could visually see that the driver's side was distorted through the upholstery. My instincts told me not to touch it further. The next day I took it to Lee and he quoted me a fee to disassemble and adjust. He remarked several times that I was very wise/lucky not to have tried opening it again as I could have snapped the pillar. Once he got it apart, he could see that someone had improperly installed the driver's side gear box mechanism. My gearbox had not only seized, but had shifted from its mounting bracket. After his discovery, the quote to fix understandably had to be raised. Clearly, the scope of the work required to fix the problem had changed. I am the second owner so the previous repair work had to have been done under her ownership. She had said that all her service work was done at the selling dealership. Lee fixed the problem the correct way. Anyone who owns an older classic car knows that parts are often difficult to locate. Also, most often the dealerships lack mechanics that have the experience to fix older cars. They will sell you new parts, if available, but when they are not, you need a guy like Lee! read more

I've been struggling with my sunroof for more than a couple months and it would stop right before being able to close fully. I drove up half an hour today thinking it would just be a diagnostic and I'd need to come back later and buy parts, but the employee who helped me just got in my car, reset the sunroof (which I had no clue how to do), and sent me on my way. Lee knows his stuff. I brought in an E36 cab that had no top, only the frame and a worn headliner, along with missing hardware and overall quite a piece of work. Most places wouldn't even consider the job or would quote for the full replacement. Lee was able to salvage the headliner, and the installation of the new top was flawless, really breathed new life into this car. He had some pretty expensive cars in his shop at the time, but he preserves his attention to detail regardless of the value of your car.
