Our first experience with AAA was to put in a new service entrance on our property. AAA worked with us to understand our needs throughout the whole process. They came in with a VERY reasonable bid on the work. But the great thing - while doing the work, they ran into some serious underground issues. They worked very closely with us to resolve all of the issue in a very cooperative way. We were very please with the entire effort. So we hired them again for the next project and once again have been very pleased with the whole process. AAA is definitely our go-to electricians. read more

AAA is severely overpriced- "premium" I was told. For 3 hours of work the bill was over $4000 and this at an elderly man's home who is hearing impaired, making it almost impossible to truly know what was going to be done. This all for a blown breaker, which apparently impacted some of the circuit. In addition, he was sold a monthly service plan which I am certain he didn't understand ($20 a month). The electrician was professional and helpful when called/questioned...the office not so much. read more

Stay away, as seen in numerous reviews this company does not care about any feedback and will not take responsibility for any mistakes. We used AAA electric to install a Tesla universal car charger that we provided. The technicians were fine, but cut some corners in running the line to the charger because they "didn't have the correct pieces." However, the worst part was when their technician unplugged our freezer in the garage to plug in their own tools, and failed to plug it back in causing hundreds of dollars of frozen food to be wasted. Mistakes happen, but when this was brought up to the company via email, a "sorry" was all that was received. A bill was never sent, and 4 months later they sent a bill saying that they had a typo in the email address when originally sending it, and because of that we "wouldn't have to pay any late fees." In responding to this and sending the full amount, the spoiled groceries were brought up again. No response was given from AAA. This is an extremely poor way to do business, and you cannot count on AAA to respond to any inquiry or take responsibility for anything. Extremely disappointing for such a large investment. read more

We are so pleased with AAA Electric. First we called them to replace two light fixtures in our entry way. These fixtures were in the ceiling of a two story entry way. We were worried that it would be a tough job. AAA took care of us! They were on time, professional, knowledgeable, and very reasonably priced. We called AAA again to finish our kitchen remodel. We needed an awful wooden box light fixture removed and can lights added. Marv came out and gave us an estimate, but it was much more than just an estimate. He gave us great, professional advice and help on how to place the can lights. He was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. We knew that there would be dry wall to repair after the lights were installed. Marv gave us references, but more importantly he was so flexible in working with us to schedule the dry wall repair so that it was just one day after the light repair. When the AAA team showed up to install the lights, again, they were on time, professional, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend AAA Electric in Longmont for any electrical needs! AAA Electric has been my electrician for about a year now. Overall, I find the electricians to be knowledgeable and reasonably quick with completing their work. The problem is that on my last few visits (for my 1970's house we are slowly remodeling), they have sent an electricians helper with the electrician. From what I can tell, this is a way to increase their hourly rate significantly without corresponding improvements in performance or speed. Previously, with no helper I was paying $90 or $95 an hour. With the helper, the charge is $120 an hour. The helper for my electrician talks quite a bit and mostly seems to be there to open boxes and hand the electrician light bulbs. I am willing to help or prepare everything myself to save the $30 an hour on a 4 to 8 hour job. I would rather pay the electrician for an extra 30 minutes on a 4 hour job than have the helper show up. The company does not mention this when they schedule so beware when you book an appointment. I can absolutely see the value of the helper on large commercial jobs where the work will take 8 hours or more. I see no value though on most residential remodel jobs that are 8 hours or less. Also, my most recent bill was $200 higher than I was expecting it to be for the amount of time they were at my house. I called to check on the billing and discovered the electrician had charged me for 45 more minutes than he was actually at my house (including the helpers time). I always check the clock when they show up and depart. The billing is an ethical issue to me and the hourly rate is now too high for the work performed so I will be searching for a new electrician. Again, the service is competent but the price for the work is steep so beware when using AAA. read more

This is the likely the worst electric company in the CO front range:( I used them on our house remodel project and they were the poorest performer among all the subcontractors on the project. A 2 week job took them a month and put the entire project behind schedule which cost me time and money. They would work for 2 days then not show up again until I called and harassed them to get back on the job. On the days they did show up they would arrive at 10 and leave by 3, taking lunch and breaks during that short workday. Their workers were SLOW and not always accurate or careful. I wanted to fire them midway through the project, but couldn't find a quality electrician that was willing to jump in to finish their work. They finally finished the work and are out of my hair and on my list of "worst ever firms." I learned my lesson with this shoddy firm and now I wouldn't use them to work on a dog house. If u do give them a try, just remember that you were warned to stay away. read more

Called AAA with a relatively easy issue that I needed fixed TODAY. They were already booked up (like any good electrician will be the day of), but Marvin figured my problem wasn't too difficult and took the time to walk me through how to do it myself over the phone. Even looked over some pictures I sent him via email to help correctly diagnose the problem- which turned out to just be a loose connection on one of my circuit breakers. While I haven't paid for any service here, these guys saved me at least $100 and plenty of hassle today. I called four electricians and they were the only ones to provide this level of customer service. This is exactly kind of thing I look for in hiring anyone to work on my house...
