I was looking for renter's insurance…read more I first tried a quote with Geico. They wanted $24.00 a month for a $10,000 policy. I then placed a call to Progressive. They wanted $35.00 a month for a $15,000 policy. I then called Liberty Mutual. At first the gentleman stated it would be $68.00 upfront and then $40.00 thereafter for a $25,000 policy. I explained to him the previous quotes obtained from his competition and he offered me then a $15,000 policy at $35.00 a month. I would still however need to pay a $68.00 upfront fee. I politely informed him that I would then be calling Allstate. I spoke into my phone requesting information on the number for Allstate and Google returned the number somehow in a weird way, the number for a local agent. Ms. Crosby. So I gave them a call. After giving them a brief synopsis of my previous encounters with the other nefarious insurance villains, they informed me I was in "Good hands" To my delight, they offered me a $15,000 policy for renter's insurance for only $8.83 a month which is auto extracted from my account. I don't have very much in this world but I would like to protect what I do have. Now I can't promise that they can give you the same deal I received as I don't work for them, but try giving them a call. I'll bet they are a lot more reasonable than those other clowns I first called.

Geico won't even deal with your claim of a stolen car if a "tow company" tows it. A "tow driver" stole our car and even the police say it's stolen and Geico won't touch the claim simply because someone with a tow truck randomly targeted it and towed it 50+ miles away claiming they "found it" on public property and thought it shouldn't be there. (legally parked by the way) They also lie through their teeth. Twice they claimed the police didn't file the car as stolen. Both times the officer confirmed it was in the system. Wouldn't be surprised if they never actually checked and they think we're too stupid to figure that out. They are a joke.

My request was addressed by HPM, and while it was not a simple task to move up the start date (they had to issue me a new policy with the same coverage amounts and new start date), the representative who helped me through the process was extremely helpful and personable. She took care of every step of the process for me and responded to my questions very quickly, going out of her way and making me feel like I was really being put first. About two weeks before his death, in his hospital bed in his home, he dictated this review of HPM, and specifically Dave Trudo. More than the words that he dictated, which were from the heart, the fact that he thought enough of Dave and his company to be concerned with making sure that this was done is testimony enough........this is what he asked me to post: Over the 24 years that I was in business, I had many insurance men called on me or come into my store. Some gave you the impression that all they wanted to do was make a quick sale. Others made an effort to feign interest in your business and your needs. The third type of person are not only interested in what you need, but also are truly interested in helping you prepare for the future with the things that are in your best interests. This is a very rare and exceptional person. In the time I was in business, there was only one that excelled in this manner- that man's name is Dave Trudo. On December of 2000, Dave called me and told me that there was something that my wife and I should consider. He wanted to meet with us because he felt it was very important and in my best interests. When he met with us, he was showed me a long term care policy. He said to me "Alec, the reason why I'm bringing this up is that this policy at this price will only be available to you for the next year or two. First of all, it is a lifetime guaranteed policy- if you wait two more years, you will pay as much, if not more for only a three year policy. So, I think it is in your interest to buy now and get the guaranteed lifetime policy." He went on to describe several other benefits. After explaining to me and my wife about the true value of this policy, we decided to sign up. It is now 14 years later and I never expected to have to use the policy, but cancer struck, almost totally disabling me. I have started using the policy and it is everything that Dave described. I would be seriously in debt to pay for the type of service that I'm getting from the policy. I can truly say that if someone else had come in and offered me the same policy, I probably never would have bought it. But knowing Dave, and knowing he has always been on my side, I bought the policy for both myself and my wife. I owe a great debt of gratitude to Dave for caring enough to give me this opportunity. Then when they finally call you back the next day, if at all, they tell you "I didn't cancel your plan on you." So why was it on Foy letter head? Why did the broker sign it and mail it to you? As a person in sales I would looking into the history of this customer. See that we had a phone conversation two weeks before this. the customer still had a week to make payment. Oh by they way we never even got a bill. Maybe a few phone calls should be made to the insurance company and then to the customer to see where the disconnect maybe. NOPE, NOT AT FOY. Lastly don't ask someone to drive over to your office to sign cancellation paper work when you have already canceled there insurance.
