I contacted United Direct Insurance Services because I was shopping for a new insurance policy. My agent, Nick, was very friendly and professional during our conversation. He took down my personal information, including my name, address, VIN, current insurance details, and phone number. He told me he would call me back within five minutes with a quote from Mercury and provide another quote later that day. Unfortunately, the follow-up never happened. Five minutes turned into hours, and hours turned into days, with no call, email, or update from Nick or anyone else at the agency. While I appreciated Nick's courteous manner and found him pleasant to speak with, the lack of follow-through was disappointing. When you're shopping for insurance, responsiveness and reliability are important. Based on my experience, this broker did not deliver on the service that was promised. read more

Honestly, I am shocked at the number of five star reviews. My experience with United Direct makes me question everyone else's rating. I called and was shuttled to "Barry's" voicemail. Someone called me back. He was a male who did not sound at all like a Barry and who seemed like this was the last thing in the world he was interested in doing. Spoke to a representative the week of September 24 to get quotes on insurance policies. No response. I called again on October 5. I spoke to another representative and sent her copies of my current coverages. They had all the amounts and deductibles but they wanted to know how much I was paying for each policy. I didn't want to divulge that information. They finally told me they didn't need it. Two weeks later, no response. I contacted the same representative today and was told they couldn't provide me with quotes because I wouldn't tell them how much I was paying for my current policies. ROSA is awesome! Her company services my shop's workers compensation policy. Been with them for over 5+ years! Policy premium rates are fair and reasonable. The 5 star review goes to the company as a whole, but mainly Rosa. She has been my main contact for questions, concerns and everything related to my workers comp policy. A couple times within the past 5 years, the insurance company and I had a "misunderstanding/misinformation" which I won't get into details. But let's say the misunderstandings were going to be costly premiums for me. And Rosa caught the abnormal high premiums and contacted me. She then helped me investigate what may have happened incorrectly in the premium audit and took it from there and had the issue fixed. She is very helpful and proactive in getting issues fixed.
