As of today we have arrived at a resolution with AAA and the third party moving company (I&A) to try and make amends for the boxes and items that never made it to our new home. I will commend AAA on their desire to rectify the situation. Their representatives were proactive and diligent in reaching out to discuss the issues and attempting to reach a resolution. I&A, true to form, has still been a bit of a nightmare to communicate with but the dust has finally settled between our attempts to directly reach them as well as assistance from AAA's team in getting a response and action from I&A. At this point I'm conflicted about whether or not we would use AAA to broker a future move. Their team has been very professional and helpful during a crisis, but since they farm out your actual move to a third party (like I&A) I would definitely want to research the third party company's reputation extensively before agreeing to move forward with anything. Brokers like AAA can be awesome resources when arranging a more affordable move, but since AAA is just the broker I would highly recommend digging deep on any third party mover that you end up paired with whether you have AAA or another broker handle the deal. read more

Actually they showed up 30 minutes early and were able to get our move done way quicker than expected. These guys came with their game faces on, never stopping. We were so impressed with their care for each item, wrapping furniture heavily in moving blankets. HORRIBLE. They are a broker that contracts out other companies. Just so happens the company that contracted for my job (CA TO MS) is the worst rated company out there. Was originally told by Geoff that my truck would arrive in 10 days. Then the movers show up and tell me they need an additional $2K because I'm over my cubic feet. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! Save your self time money and the loss of the irreplaceable! Things to know 1) You are not working with AAA moving group they will not help you and they are contracting out the moving services to another company. This fact will be understated when they are trying to sell you on their moving services but will miraculously be overstated once your items are delivered late, they can't find them, additional charges are added for "truck fees" and your things are lost! 2) there is NO expedited shipping they will charge you a $300 fee for 14 day guaranteed delivery. The catch this is 14 business days so your thing will still just arrive in 21 to 31 days! They were awful every step of this process I meet with difficulty uncertainty and complete inconvenience. Their customer service although surface level polite was meet with an attitude of I'm sorry but its not our problem nor is it our fault. Oh and oh well you signed the contract. I specifically asked if 14 day delivery was 14 day or 14 business days and emphasized when booking, that I need a real date of estimated delivery so I could plan accordingly. They Lied gave me a fake date and I was stuck with an empty apartment, air mattress and very little clothing. 14 days tuned into 14 business days meet with an apology and a guarantee that I would receive a refund. However miraculously the day my items were delivered I was told on the spot that if I did not pay $300, the exact same cost of the early delivery, a fee added for "special truck" being used then they would take my stuff away and put it in a storage unit! The special truck a $20 U-Haul truck they had to use because my street would not fit a 18' wheeler. The kicker is I live on a major street in downtown LA where there was plenty of space to fit an 18' Wheeler! Also I watched and listen to the delivery driver call two other customers and pull the same stunt, not only apologizing for being late but stating that they would have to pay $300 more out the blue in order to receive their things that day! SCAME!!!!!!! But the worst part of this story They lost 4 boxes and refuse to acknowledge my lost items! AAA Moving group (Meghan Blackwell) stated that she would send me a claims form to fill out. Instead I received an email for the contacted moving company! I called back and was told I would have to go through them to file a claim. Here is the short version: Car Transport: AAA Moving Company quoted $700 for the transport of my vehicle from Paris, Ky to Clermont, FL. i paid AAA Moving Group $100 deposit. LK Trucking that arrived a day later then the 2 promissed scheduled days and had no record of my deposit and notified me that i would be required to pay $700 on delivery. i called your office several times and was promised a followup which never happened. No one has called at all and still has not called to this date. Furniture Move: After sending a detailed inventory list to AAA Moving group 4 times the quoted move was approx $3600 and i was required to pay $1465 deposit. The movers(American Pro Movers) arrived 1 day after the promised 2 day scheduled window. They did a walk through of the furniture to be moved. (person in Charge spoke less then 5 words of English, he spoke Arabic). After the furniture was loaded on the truck i was informed that the original quote of 586 cu.ft. was incorrect and that i had a total of 1200 cu.ft. i was required to pay another $1034 for deposit before they would continue and the total fee would be $5800 and the balance was due before they would even pull into my driveway in florida. i have still not heard from AAA Moving Group after several promisses that they would followup. First off, do not believe the positive reviews. They have to pay people. Go to the Better Business Bureau and look at their F rating. Second of all, I am working on a multi-tort litigation against this company (class action law suit). If you have had a bad experience with them specifically changing prices of estimates offered at the last minute, after you have put down your deposit - please contact me at TripleFMovingGroup@gmail.com. Now for the review: I starts great! They have the lowest quote, they do all the leg work, etc, etc. Really responsive sales people. In my case, I was shopping around for quotes, Marcus called me non stop for like a week and a half to get a deposit. They send an email with everybody's number to support you through the move. This is where the good ends. I now know what I did not know then is that they skew the algorithm on that first quote to give you the lowest quote possible. This is called a "Bait and Switch," and is illegal. Once they have collected your non-refundable deposit, they will raise the price again - more accurate to what your true price would have been if you were looking at competitors. Finally the coop de gras, they will ask for two dates for your move, and they will show up at the latter of the two to ensure everything is last minute and rushed. Moving is stressful, and they are late, so you are stressed. Then they will raise the price for a third time to something astronomical. It isn't even competive to the competition, but what are your options? You have already lost a significant amount of money that they will not return, their contract says so. You are in the middle of moving and they waited until the last possible minute. Do you even have time to go back to the competitors? Probably not. This is when they demand thousands of dollars in cash. No paper trail. This is a shady move to begin with. They stop responding. You will literally never know when your stuff is coming. Maggie told me 5-7 days from the 22nd. It is the 4th. My stuff is still not here. I called to get an update. I was hung up on TWICE by Veronica (supposedly the supervisor in customer service.) Then I was told Maggie no longer works there and they have NO IDEA why anyone would tell me 5-7 days. I am so damn grateful that their calls are recorded because in court they don't stand a chance. They say they will give you a 24-48 hour notice. Obviously, you have to be home for this. They called me at 7 pm tonight. My delivery is at 3 pm tomorrow (allegedly). I work! They want me to gather $4000 cash tomorrow (again, a notification at 7 pm tonight when banks are all closed and I have to be at work at a hospital at 8 am tomorrow) or they will not deliver my belongings, and they will charge me a re-delivery fee to deliver it at a later date. My daughter used AAA Moving Group for her long distance relocation. The company contracts with other businesses to actually move items here and there. They are based in Florida and we live in Washington State so there is no way they have any direct knowledge of who they contract with out here. The company showed up 5 days late. The move was a 3 day drive. It has been 23 days so far and her furniture has still not showed up. AAA Moving Group wanted half the money up front. They would not take a personal check, but insisted on a money order a red flag for me. My daughter had left for her new destination days before the movers gathered her things. Three people showed up in a Penske rental truck. They looked like they were on parole from a penitentiary Two didn't speak English. Draw your own conclusions. When my daughters furniture did not show up after 10 days she begen to call. Each time she was given a different reason for the delay. None of which were probably the truth. After a couple of days they stopped taking her calls altogether. She has tried to live and work from her apartment with no furniture. She works from home for an insurance company and uses a computer and a phone. Her computer sits on a cardboard box and she sits and sleeps on the floor. Our experience was very bad. I don't know if everyone gets this same treatment. My daughter has contacted an attorney and the result is still to be seen. This past summer we moved from Ohio to NY, and sought a mover for the contents of our 3-Bedroom home. We wanted help moving, but knew that we could save money by doing our own packing rather than going with a full-service move. We went with AAA Moving Group. Dealing with them was awful and stressful. The only good part is that our appliances and furniture did successfully get moved to the new home, but here is what I wish I knew before we moved. First, they purposefully gave a low bid to get us under a binding contract, with a significant deposit down. The original price seemed reasonable, and they said we were "getting a good deal" because they were in our area (not really true). We had told them the size of our house and the basic contents but had not got into counting every box, and so the quote was supposedly based on our 3-bedroom house. The week before they called to go more specifically over the contents. The price doubled from $5K to $10K. My wife had set it up, but I called back to refuse. I planned to cancel the entire move with them. They managed to talk me into continuing with the move and just moving the main contents, for $6K. So that was part one of their tactics. According to the new count we would have gotten all of the contents except 30-40 boxes which we would move ourselves. We moved those things to the garage. Part two is when the actual movers show up. They came a day late, they wanted to come 2 days late but we were under a deadline and said no to that. The actual movers were a different company. AAA Moving does not actually do the work, they just do the sales and then subcontract out. When the movers arrived and looked at the contents that AAA Moving Group had said would fit under our new contract, they said there was no way that would fit in the allotted space. But Good News! They had more space on the truck that they could sell me. I would not agree to increase the cost, and instead had them load what they could in the space that we had allotted. AAA Moving had set up in their estimate to underestimate the space used. I believe they set up their algorithm to do that on purpose, so that their clients would be in this position of having to cough up thousands more on the spot in order to complete their move. The movers were ready and expecting me to pay more to fill that space in the truck, they came ready knowing the space estimate by AAA Moving would have been too low. The good part for me is the actual moving company did a decent job in moving what would fit, mainly our furniture a couple of appliances. They wrapped it up quickly and efficiently and had it loaded within a few hours. The drop off went well and the movers unloaded things to our satisfaction. The downside for us is that we had to go back later and move ourselves all the things that would not fit in the space. I ended up renting a 20 foot U-Haul and drove it myself a month later. I suspect that our original quote of $5000 would have grown to $15,000 if I had not done that part myself. Here is what I would have done differently. I would have gone with a system where you load it yourself over 3-4 days and then they transport it and you unload it. They even have the possibility of hiring movers per hour to help you. We could have saved a lot of trouble and money to do it that way. The stress of working with AAA Moving was terrible. Instead of saving money as I hoped, I spent more than I had planned. Would give negative stars if permitted. The salesman Howard will treat you like gold to rope you into believing they are a professional broker. Once quoting is done and payment made they turn you ober to their numerous transport companies. These i do not believe are vetted or qualified in any manor. They will show up late for the pick up usually in a very sketchy or broken down truck. No one was able ton speak clear english and communication was extremely poor. Once loaded say goodbye to your belongings. After 2 weeks of attempting to contact not only Triple A broker services and their customer service reps Jimmy and Veronica?, all of which lines are busy and send you to their voicemail, The Van line will not answer your call either. Taking the actual DOT number off the truck and tracing down the owner of the vehicles I was able to get someone to speak to me. Had to threaten to call the police and file interstate fraud complaints against the dot license. Finally someone was able to get the owner of the transport service which was renting the trucks from the owner of the dot license. Not only did they not show up on the delivery date but they did not show up until 4 days later. They wanted to still charge me the full price. They were nice on the phone and I trusted them initially but later turned out they are sketchy like many of the other moving companies. They misrepresent their services and act like they are the ones who will do the move but they are just brokers. After charging you money they just connect you with some random mover (in my case some random people from New Jersey) whom you're supposed to trust blindly. Mind you these movers are NOT under the control of AAA and when they drop off your stuff at your final destination they demand cash payment often way higher than the estimate and this results in "hostage situation" (they refuse to unload your stuff from the truck until you pay them in cash whatever they demand) and AAA can do nothing about it because the movers don't work for AAA since AAA is just a broker. The situation gets very fraudulent since the final transaction is cash, not credit card, so you can't even report it. This review applies not just to AAA but several other similar moving companies in general. The whole moving business is riddles with sketchy businesses. The best way to move is to just get yourself Uhaul Ubox and hire your own local labor/movers to load and unload the Ubox; this is the safe and reliable way to move. PODS was the same concept but in my case PODS was way pricier. Hope this helps someone. read more

HOOOOOOORRIBLE! My mother booked through this company for her move from Memphis, TN to Washington, DC. She had a 1 bedroom/1 bath apartment. We were quoted $3100 with a deposit of $1095.80 and told her items would be delivered to the new address within 2 to 7 business days. We were originally scheduled to have her items picked up Saturday, June 27 between 12pm and 4pm. When no one showed up at that time, we called customer service. That's where the problems began. For a company that claims to be a moving company, I found it odd that every call requires them to call the actual moving company or contractor rather that's doing the actual moving. We were told our move was rescheduled with a pick up for Sunday, June 28th between 12pm and 4pm. No one showed again. We called customer service again and this time were told the mover would contact us. Leo contacted us at approximately 530pm to tell us that they'd under-estimated the job before us and needed to get another truck and would be rescheduling our move to Monday, June 29th between, yes you guessed it, 12pm and 4pm. At this point, realistically, we should have cut our losses and requested a refund. But we held out hope. Leo basically BS'ed us all day Monday via text. At 930pm, Leo shows up with a 24 foot Penske truck, smelling of liquor and 2 workers one of which had on flip flops. He demands an additional $1100 and tells us that our items will arrive in DC in 21 days. HELL NO! Leo and this company can kick rocks! Ironically, the company is now non-responsive regarding a refund. This isn't surprising considering they couldn't provide information regarding the move and had to keep referring us to the actual movers. On moving day they cancelled the pick up an hour into the time slot - and it was a Friday to boot. We had hours to vacate the apt but having the mover back out ultimately cost another $1,200 for an additional month of rent (apt would not rent by the week) - I never dealt with such incompetency in my life! The promises they made without any follow-up or actions - I am uncertain how they keep the business running. They contract out, so if they can't find a truck its your loss. We ended up paying rent in 2 states and they could care less. Save your sanity and don't call them - there are reputable ones out there. read more

I am a single mom and used AAA to move from New York to Florida. When I first entered the information online I got a million calls which was annoying, but I talked to a woman named Ashley who I could tell was up front and honest about everything with me. I got other quotes - AAA wasn't necessarily the cheapest but Ashley warned me this is not an industry in which you want to go with the cheapest bid. A few days before the move someone else called me to go over my list again. The truck arrived on time and the guys did a good job. Ashley said she gave me an honest price and she did. I needed some additional packing done last minute and paid a fair price for that, so that was fine, that was the only thing I paid extra for on the day of pick up. My items arrived in Florida in 3 days. I am extremely happy with my experience and trust me I was sketched! Customer service was also always available Maggie & Meghan were awesome. I hired this company for my move from New Jersey to Florida. Unbeknownst to me they contracted a different moving company to do the job. The reason i chose this company was because it had decent reviews. The company that ended up doing the job unsurprisingly has 1.5 stars on yelp. I didn't have a choice since I had to fly to NJ to be there, and had to go along with it since they were there with their UHAUL. I could have rented a u-haul and anybody off the street to help me and it would have been better. Some of my items are missing and after numerous phone calls with them they have decided to stop answering my calls and messages. AAA if you're going to contract another company you need to tell the customer first. I was told by fake Quality Assurance I could pay by credit card both pick up and delivery and that wasn't true. They were great at communication up until the move was booked, then they disappeared. They wouldn't answer my calls, and I didn't know when my move was happening until the night before, and then the guy ended up cancelling at the last second (literally said he was on the way, then cancelled) I had to pay for an uber to pick up and borrow my brother's car, and then they cancelled as I was sitting there waiting. I've moved numerous times and this was the worst experience I've had yet. I'm not happy and I would have rather paid more for a professional move, less problems, and to have all my stuff. read more

Moving is one of the most stressful times in life they say. This move for me was the most stressful move of my life. Due to a recent health problems I had to move back home to Atlanta to be closer to family that can help me get by day to day. Also, because of the disability, I needed t to hire movers, which I've never done before. The movers were prompt and professional but more importantly they seem to realize times were difficult for me and were genuinely nice and polite, taking care to go beyond the requirements of their job. First off I'd like to shout out to Daniel he promised to follow me threw this whole move and he did! he was responsible followed threw every time I messaged or called him he was on top of everything that made me very happy! And a huge shout to Mo & Ritchie the first movers great guys with a good heart and they were very mindful of my situation and my belongings their great guys ! AAA remember to give these guys a raise ! I was extremely nervous and anxious about using movers because it was the first time .So after I arrived in Az it was nerve racking wondering if all my stuff would come , will anything be broke, any thing missing ya know normal fears of the unknown . However, 9 days later I Received a call saying my stuff was on the way. Roy and his dad got here they were very nice ,very professional, and also very mindful of my belongings! 2 other great employees you have AAA! All my stuff was there in tact and just the way they packed was the way they unloaded it! So bottom line if your looking for safe secure and professional folks to move you no matter where , I will say firmly hire this company! I give them 10 stars across the board and I am very happy! I have not seen my possessions since the movers arrived for a state-to state-move picked my stuff up and took my money. It's been 2 months. No-one has ever called for an update and I am incredibly concerned this extremely negligent business has lost all of my furniture, clothes, photos - everything - and is completely avoiding responsibility. We booked with AAA to move from Minnesota to Massachusetts. When we originally booked our move on April 3rd we were quoted a price of 1992.69 for 425 cubic feet of inventory, which we had to estimate at that time. When we called to detail the final inventory on May 5th we were told that our detailed inventory had doubled the cubic feet of inventory and our move would cost over twice as much. At that time we asked about cancelling, as the entire reason for the move was because we both lost our jobs due to COVID-19 and we could not afford the additional cost. We were told that if we did that we would lose our entire deposit and so we elected at that time to reduce our inventory to save on cost. The final quote on May 6th was for 426 cf for a total cost of 1995.18, our deposit had already covered 768.68. Our inventory at that time was very detailed and we were careful to go over everything in great detail to make sure we didn't have any extra items or boxes. When our movers arrived on May 21st, we were startled by the fact that they arrived in a budget rent a truck and were from a company called "Cobra Van Lines". They looked at all our things and claimed we had additional cubic feet and would have to pay extra - which we couldn't do. We were then forced to get rid of many of the items detailed in the inventory, including: - 3 mattresses - all our bedding - 1 twin bed with a trundle - 3 rugs - 2 bikes - 1 lawnmower Despite eliminating these items the end estimation of the cubic feet from Cobra van lines was 568 cubic feet - which I find impossible to believe based on the detailed inventory that we gave AAA and the items we eliminated, which totaled over 140 cubic feet. We were also told we had to pay in full the remaining balance and we could not pay with a card without a fee, so we had to go to the bank to get a cashiers check. Feeling like we had no choice because we HAD to be out of our house we reluctantly paid and watched our now meager possessions be loaded into a generic Budget rent a truck. We attempted to contact AAA on Friday but were not able to reach anyone, Shawn's (the rep we worked with) mailbox was full and we could not reach anyone else. We called Cobra van lines and asked about an estimated arrival for our things and we were told they were unloaded in Chicago and were sitting in a warehouse and that we would get them in 21 days (we were told 7-14 days for arrival). The rep for Cobra van lines was extremely rude and unprofessional and refused to give any detail about our items except to say we would receive them in 21 days. Here are the problems as I see them: - we were promised professional door to door service by AAA - instead they used a third party vendor to move our items. - we booked with AAA because of their reviews and ratings -Cobra Van Lines has a 1 star rating and numerous complaints. I do see now AAA is getting more complaints on social media, so perhaps it's a new practice of theirs to use third party vendors - it doesn't seem like that's a smart business move. - I believe Cobra Van Lines and AAA fraudulently inflated the cubic feet of our items - and by my calculation we were over charged $762.39 (Cobra van lines estimated our move to cost 2757.57 and we were quoted 1995.18). - We were promised our items in 7-14 days and we are now being told that it will be 21 days. We repeatedly tried to contact AAA and were unable to get in touch with anyone - our reps mailbox is always full. I sent a detailed email to them 5 days ago requesting a response in 24 hours and have heard nothing. We have had no update on our items or our request for a partial refund due to the over-inflation of the cubic feet our items were estimated to take up. We basically ended up moving one mattress, one bed and 50 medium sized boxes and it cost us over $2700, and now we have to replace all the rest of our items that we had to leave behind. Wow. DO NOT USE. They are dishonest and horrible. I was over charged by the company they outsource too, several items were missing, many boxes broken (one was clearly used as a step because it had a boot print and the lid was snapped in half). my belongings were delivered over 2 weeks later than the estimated time I was given. The worst part has been dealing with Veronica Bell and Kaitlyn Ross for a refund. I reached out about a refund and was told I would receive $150--this is only about 30% of the amount I should receive--and was told 2 weeks to get the refund. This was over 6 months ago. I have called every week trying to get my refund. I have been told the check is in the mail, "the owner herself is writing the check today," that they don't have an address on file. on the rare occasion someone does answer customer service, they tell me I'm being moved "to the top of the list" for refunds. I have left countless voicemails and sent emails for Veronica and Kaitlyn and have never received a call back. Veronica does not answer any calls and I'm fairly certain she screens calls because I called from a different number once and she answered first ring and then Sounded shocked it was me. this company will lie, rip you off, and then ignore you after they promise a refund. DO NOT USE, they are not worth the struggle if you need a refund or have a problem. read more
