Firstly, I need to be so clear about what a raving review this is going to be. Five stars all across, if you're on the fence of trying to find movers, book Black Swan Moving. From the very first message they were punctual, polite, and informative. Like many people we thought we could do all the moving on our own and then it came to the day before we were supposed to be out and everything felt so overwhelming. So in the midst of everything we were also trying to find movers. We greatly underestimated just how challenging of a move this was going to be a black swan genuinely saved us. Not just that, they were genuinely some of the kindest people I have ever met. We used Black Swan for our local move last week and we can't say enough about how wonderful they were. It was a rainy day, but they wrapped all our furniture so nicely that nothing got wet. Bryant and the entire team were extremely easy to work with from start to finish. The initial reason we hired them over competitors was their price and that they can move a 6 person hot tub as well so we didn't need a second moving company. They were flexible with our date and size of move (we swapped dates with another customer and downsized our move as we had time to move our smaller items ourselves). Including the hot tub, we also had other tricky items like a giant planters of trees and vines, a baby crib, and a deep freezer of breast milk (that needed to be last in, first out) and they moved it all with ease. They make the pricing very clear when you get the communication going, and arrived promptly at the time that was shown to me on the documents to sign. Two gentlemen helped with the entire move from a 2/2 apartment to a 1/1.5 carriage house with a garage floor, living floor, and bedroom floor. They worked SO hard and neatly and safely packed up each piece of furniture that needed to be moved. Communication was great, they checked and double checked with me what should go where. Although I didn't help much with my answers since I was delirious from working overnight the night before lol and couldn't think straight. Anyway, 10/10 would recommend. Super prompt and reliable. As a realtor, I know there are a lot of options out there when it comes to movers, I chose Black Swan for my personal move and could not have been more pleased. Customer service was great over the phone. I will say you may call and not get an answer, but leave a message, and they will call you back asap. The guys who came to assist with my move were Bryant and Jerry. They let ne know when they were on their way and arrived within the time promosed tk start. When they arrived they introduced themselve, both were very friendly as well as efficient and quick. Bryant wrapped and banded blankets around anything unboxed in record time. It was obvious it was not his first rodeo.. lol, I say rodeo because it reminded me of the hog tying competitions. Everything arrived at the new house safe and sound, and Bryant reassembled my furniture better than it was before from original store delivery people. Took the time to do it right. I was orginally in a 4th floor apt so there was a lot of effort to move it from the apt so the fact there was nothing damaged was impressive but had there been they do provide some insurance with an option to add additional should you feel a need to.
