My experience with Good-buy, Bonnie & staff was COMPLETELY different than the unhappy reviewer. So…read morethough she is entitled to her opinion, I feel compelled to say something. Good-Buy arranged a very complex 9 city visit to Italy for us. We went top to bottom via plane, train, & chauffeured Mercedes SUVs for 30 days. We chose for this be a self-guided trip and one of us was disabled and in his late 80's. All airport, train and escorted transfer assistance, check-in & baggage was flawlessly pre-arranged by Good-buy--including water taxis in Venice. I was very specific about the experience we wanted and despite the complexity of such a trip, and our requests, the price arranged per person was TRULY INCREDIBLE given the service and amenities provided. These included breakfast and dinner each day in the most convenient, picturesque, and/or luxurious accommodations I have ever stayed at. We wanted an authentic experience rather than a 5 a.m. ride to get on a crowded tour bus & eat boxed lunches on the way. Therefore, we requested boutique hotels rather than worldwide chains & the rooms at each location were usually much larger than the teeny European norm, impeccably clean, very professionally staffed and when desired, close to attractions we wished to see. The food was always top notch & we dream about it even today. I had never been to Europe before & made many demands of my agent-- not realizing what I difficult client I must have been due to my inexperience. I was always treated with respect by the staff at Good-Buy & have returned many times to thank them for their patience & incredible efforts to arrange the trip of a lifetime on a modest budget. If I every travel again, I will set the destination & leave it in the hands of these professionals to handle all the details. I honestly can find no fault whatsoever with our trip, and HEARTILY recommend Good-Buy Travel in Orland Park. This is an honest & unsolicited review. The photos below (except for the visit to to the 12AD Unesco site) were ALL taken from our hotels during the trip. We also passed through Amsterdam over the Alps & visited Rome, Santa Margherita Liguri (on the harbor in a hotel with a heated pool & drink service) plus a gorgeous art deco hotel in an 18th century abbey in Sicily-- but you get the idea. I would like to add our accommodations were always very safe and if I say the patio or balconies were private, I mean PRIVATE--reserved for us only! We booked 4 tickets with…read moreShadi, paid over $8k, when we got to the airport they said we didn't have seats on the plane because the travel agent didn't confirm the booking. When we called him at the airport to see what was going on, his response was "this isn't my fault, this is the airports fault" rather than helping us find a solution to get to our destination, he kept screaming and arguing that it wasn't his fault . We ended up having to take our 10 suitcases and going back home, and returning the next day for a different flight. Now we are trying to call him to fix a problem with our return flights that were booked with him, he has not answered our calls for 2 weeks. Save yourself the time and money and just book your own tickets.

In these days of TSA, getting the correct spelling of names for flights was their first failure. We had some complicated travel plans, which is why we used a travel agent, and it took many calls and return trips for them to get it right. My biggest complaint is their very poor attention to detail. Second is lousy communication. I will never use them again.
