Given the volume of positive reviews for this school, I expected a structured and professional…read morelearning experience. What my wife received was not consistent with that standard. She prepaid for three lessons. Across the first two, very little substantive instruction was provided. The majority of the material was deferred until the final session, where it was rushed through all at once. That is not an effective way to teach a new driver. The larger concern was the instructor's approach. The instructor, Luis, spoke to my wife in a way that felt more like scolding than instruction. When she didn't immediately understand something, he would repeatedly ask, "Do you understand?" in a raised, urgent tone. When she made mistakes, he told her, "Your problem is that you don't listen!"--which is not constructive teaching. During a follow-up call, Luis acknowledged that he raised his voice, but described it as a "command voice." Regardless of how it is labeled, that approach created a pressured and discouraging learning environment for a new driver. A three-point turn was demonstrated once, with the expectation that she would immediately perform it. When she struggled, instead of reinforcing the skill within the lesson she had already paid for, the conversation shifted toward purchasing additional lessons. She came home visibly upset after the session. That should not be the outcome of a paid instructional environment. We contacted the school to resolve this directly. The only solution offered was a discounted additional lesson--effectively asking us to spend more money rather than addressing the quality of what was already provided. Given the number of positive reviews, I hope this is not representative of the broader standard. But it was our experience, and it's worth being aware of.

I signed up for the DUI 1 Metro driving school with headquarters in Palm Beach…read more I found out from my lawyer that in order to get credit for the course, I need to take the class in Lee County where I live. I spoke with a customer service representative about signing up for the class. I told her I live in Lee County and didn't understand why there wasn't a class site for the class on Lee County. She never said they provide classes in Lee County. I would have thought she would have let me they don't cover this County. I called today and told them my situation that I picked their school in error. Asked for a refund of my $350. They say not refundable. I said I just picked the wrong school. Isn't that a unique situation? They said no. I would not recommend this school to anyone. Terrible customer service. I asked representative if they are a private business. He said he doesn't know if it is or not. Bad business practices.​

Where to even begin; The customer service at this school is worse than non existent. The personnel…read morewho answer the phone are rude and completely ignorant. They never return messages and their accent is nearly inaudible. The class room and their entire facility has a terrible smell and it's filthy. When you finally do get in touch with someone there who has authority the level un rudeness and inflexibility elevates to a point that is truly concerning. I was unable to complete the "evaluation" portion of this program, which is necessary to complete the program, due to the fact that the staff kept siting the fact that they didn't have my police report on file, when I would call to schedule the evaluation appointment. My attorney's office faxed this information to them multiple times. Once they acknowledged that they were in fact in receipt of the necessary documentation that informed me that their was an additional fee that I now had to pay since I was outside of their time allowance. Believing that since I was now subject to an additional fee, I waited until I could go into the office in person to schedule my evaluation. When I went in, I was told that now I was outside of the penalty period and would have to pay for the entire course again. Which I didn't mind doing. But, it gets worse; They also require that I complete the entire course again, not just pay for it. The woman I spoke with said it was required by law, which is completely untrue, as Metro Traffic school does not have the same policy. I requested to at least have proof that I completed class room portion of the course, since I did and I paid for it. She again told me know. Stating it was their policy and went on to tell me it was in fact against the law, again completely false. Luckily, I have a great relationship with my back and subsequently I will have the fees they charged me backed off of my account. When you pay for a service and don't receive it, you're entitled to your money back. I will write a review on ever internet site available to me and report them to the better business bureau. Metro Traffic School has been great to work with!
