I was immediately greeted as I walked in and was offered assistance. I needed to register a car I had recently purchased in my name and pay the registration for other car. The lady put my name down and said they would call me up when they were ready. I was seated for no more than 2 minutes before a very friendly and knowledgeable woman helped me. I cannot sing the praises high enough for the employees at this branch who were compassionate, infinitely patient, and persistent in trying to solve a problem for me. I was using AAA's DMV services. The application I was completing involved printing information from my medical provider via my phone. Maggie was my first patient helper. Suzanne Cole then spent 45 minutes trying to assist me until we both decided that I would need to pursue this further with my medical provider. I returned later that day with the correct paperwork and Chase Jacquez processed it all seamlessly. He was personable, pleasant and efficient as possible! I haven't been to this office is over a decade and I was glad to see that it's still here and hasn't been moved to some mini mall. This branch is ticked away and doesn't get as hectic as the others making it easier to take care of business. This is a particularly good place to get your car registration done. read more

Was able to do a notary there for a reasonable price, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Went to get me registration done after work around 5:30, due to my schedule this is the best I can do. I've tried three times this week and finally was able to make it. They refused to do my registration because it was raining outside and didn't want to have to go to my car to check the vin. Lazy and unprofessional half of them weren't even wearing masks. read more

Was a customer for years. After losing my job due to covid shutdown I had to switch to another company that offered a better rate. After cancelling on my last day of the billing cycle they sent me a bill which they immediately sent into collections. After multiple calls being placed on hold then hung up on I had to pay a bill that they claimed they under charged me a year ago. Jennifer was forwarded my complaint from what sounds like another AAA associate who monitors social media. Without a ton of effort on my part Jennifer restored my faith in humanity by promptly ordering me a refund check for my 80$ out of pocket expenses. This is what I'm used to with AAA! It was greatly appreciated after having to deal with Mr. "Not my problem -by the book Zachariah" of 1-800-AAA-Help. Triple a is a great company, but I sure miss old counter underwriter. I tried to unedited that after I cooled down, but yelp wouldn't let me. Area for improvement is wait times. I have been a member most of my life, over 45 years of AAA coverage. I brought my vehicle to a AAA Certified Auto Repair place. The car was serviced and $500 dollars later was not fixed by the Auto Repair (Dave's Auto Petaluma) . I called AAA to ask about their guarantee and was told to read the fine print of the Contract. Turns out that they will only really help you if you've been serviced by AAA roadside assistance or their Auto and tire center. AAA was of No Service to me, but willingly hung up on me when I asked what specific sections I should read. Avoid this Office, or use at your peril and expect personal losses to your bank account! read more

I used the Petaluma Branch today to move a title over on a car due to my mother passing away. They were not only super helpful they were able to get this process completed in minutes vs. the hours I had previously spent at the local DMV for an unrelated matter. The other aspect of the visit was to insure the vehicle now that it was moved over. The AAA rep was extremely helpful and able to provide clear options to ensure I was receiving the best rates possible. I am frankly not sure why anyone would not carry AAA for roadside assistance if only for the DMV services they offer. read more

We went here to get my wife a temporary DMV handicap placard. I have been a member for almost 50 years and am a premier member. My wife no longer drives, and has no reason to maintain a membership. We were told that we could not get a placard for her because she's no longer a member. Way to take care of your long-standing faithful members. It didn't matter that I am still (for now) a member. No wonder this office is always empty. They all know that their service is bad. I recently moved and went in for a address change using their DMV service. Although it was the service I have used before, the lady claimed they have not done that for years!!! She offered to send it in with the other paper works she had, but knowing that the document has to be stamped and get a brown card(also date stamped by them) which we have to carry with our licence to indicate that we have reported to the DMV, I left the office and went to the Santa Rosa office. At the Santa Rosa office they sure enough took the document and automatically gave me the brown card. In conclusion, if it is not too much of a trip to go to the Santa Rosa office for you, take your time and go to Santa Rosa! Less hassle and less stress!! read more

Rafael Ruano is a God-Send. I was paying way too much for car insurance. For three years, I marked 'yes' to 'Have you ever been in an at-fault accident?' and paid skyrocket premiums for limited liability. What these cheap agents refused to notice on my record, was that it actually said 'not at fault'. Great. My boyfriend was transferring his AAA account from a group policy to his own. He was surprised to see just how affordable AAA actually was. My mom has always had AAA, and I thought it was only for mature drivers with a sparkling-clean record. I also thought that it was the MOST expensive of them all, given their reputation and services offered. So, I stuck with the AAA roadside card. When the bf was setting this up, he happened to mention that I had just moved into a new house that I was renting. Rafael said I should call him about renters insurance, and that he would give me a screaming deal. I figured, sure, like 20% MORE than what I'm already paying? So I called him. I was shocked. I got FULL COVERAGE on my new beetle AND renters insurance (that actually covers a lot more than just your rental!) for under $125 a month!! I was paying more than that for JUST liability on the bug for years. I FULLY recommend Rafael and AAA to anyone. If you have insurance, don't have insurance, pay too much, or think you pay less. I needed notary services but was unable to reach an actual person - all they wanted to do was sell me a policy or membership (I am already a member). So, even though Yelp said they provided the service, there was no way to access a person to determine if they do, in fact, provide the service. Poor experience, for sure. read more

We have had AAA in my family for years. We have had nothing but smooth and helpful support in all roadside situations. 2 years ago I purchased auto insurance through AAA. My agent, Jan Vreeburg was exceedingly patient and helpful, in setting my husband and I up with 3 different insurance plans (we had just gotten married) and answering the 200 questions I had... He made sure to go through every detail with me, helped me look over my driving record, got us set up with renter's insurance for a great yearly price, and since then we have gotten far more than our money's worth. I have never once been "outsourced," on a phone call, and after 2 non-fault accidents- I swear by their outstanding service and the quickness that they deal with claims. Pleasant, unexpected visit today. Since I needed to get my car tags after smogging my car, I was planning to hit the Mendocino Ave location on my way home. Then, driving on McDowell Blvd, I spotted the Lynch Creek AAA office, pulled in and including standing on line behind one person, was back in my car in under 10 minutes, tags in hand. Way better than going to the DMV. The person I got was very helpful. I registered a car I had bought out of state and not everything was obvious, like finding the EPA CAL stickers. Found it under the carpet and speakers on the engine cover, took more than an hour and they were very patient. read more

She is very knowledgeable & experienced with all that AAA offers. She will always take the time to review your insurance policies, even if you aren't a AAA member. Her goal is to give you piece of mind & make sure that you are fully covered in the case that you need to use your insurance. She has also saved me money by looking at all the details of my policies to make sure that I'm not over covered for things that I don't have in my home or how sometimes a few dollars per month or year can give you a lot more coverage where it counts.
