Today we went to pick up our trailer from this storage for an upcoming trip. We could not get the gate open. When we called, we were told that they would reset the gate and to wait five minutes. After five minutes we tried again and it still would not work. We called again and we're told they would reset it again and to wait five minutes. Again we waited and tried and it would not open. We drove to the office and again we were told they would reset it and to try again. After another failed attempt to open , we called and asked when it would be fixed. We were told that it could work later today, it might be tomorrow or it could be two weeks. When I asked about being reimbursed for the deposits on the campgrounds for our trip, she replied they wouldn't do it. She also said they were at the mercy of 'corporate' to get the gate fixed but refused to give any contact details for corporate. She suggested we keep driving back to see if the gate would work because she would have no way of knowing if it would work or not. We waited for a couple of hours and went back. It still did not work. Luckily there was someone leaving that tripped the interior switch that would open the gate. We retrieved the trailer and terminated the contract. It's just not worth dealing with people who aren't interested in helping their customers. AMENDED Corporate called me to go over what transpired today. They informed me that the gate will be fixed tomorrow. They seemed genuinely interested in what happened and making it right. Tenants for 1 & 1/2 years & some months we don't pay till the last minute but we ALWAYS paid. never caused problems, or issues till now. While the company was seeking new management the temp manager told us that the lock on our unit was to be cut off & In process of doing so, the locking mechanism was broken. No problem, we were past due & understood. Only allows a space for their lock. The property manager Ashley Medina refused to let me put my lock on the unit after making a payment back in June. I paid the entire balance. Ashley refused because a payment was due 7/1/2022 but it was 6/27/2022. When requested to have the lock fixed after every payment there was no resolution. For almost 6 months regardless of how late or current I was I still have not had access to my unit. Finally after making a payment on Friday, Ashley agreed to unlock my unit. She wasn't open on Saturday she said & I had to call the after hours number. Website says 9-12pm on Saturday. Ashley unlocked my unit, without us present, and left it unattended, which is against policy. Our gate code didn't work so she gave us the property management code, seems like a liability? We arrive at our unit and cannot get the door open. My fiancé has to crawl under the door to see and upon opening our unit it had been TRASHED. Not only that but a significant amount of valuable items and irreplaceable sentimental things had been damaged or stolen. Called Ashley back with no answer for hours. She doesn't consider this an emergency. Long story short, Ashley is an absolutely unprofessional, and incompetent manager. She does not check units, she does not walk the property, she does not do any maintenance work as she made it very clear to us she is the ONLY employee. Also not only are your items not safe and secure, nor is your personal information. The records room door is kicked in, with access for anyone to walk right on in and see everyone's account info. Bathrooms are horrendous, never becleaned, Ashley never empties the trash, Ashley does not document when there has been a break in into a unit, or inform tenants of multiple break ins. she does not take pictures as required by the policy, she doesn't honestly do anything. The cameras have such a short life time on them, which doesn't matter anyways because unless and I quote per property manager Ashley Medina "unless you are dead, dying, the building is on fire or you can't get out the gate, it is not an emergency and do not call her" I can promise you I wouldn't call you for any of those things because she would never answer! The biggest issue we have with this problem is not that our things were stolen, BUT there are no signs of a break in, no damage done to the unit structure, so the ONLY thing that could have happened was that my unit was opened with a key. Ashley has confirmed that her lock was never cut off the unit.... And that she is the ONLY employee, So what happened to my things? Why was I never informed that there was a breach in safety at the facility I store my things? Why wasn't there an email sent, a letter mailed? Nothing? Why was I refused access to my unit even if I was paid up even if it was 3 days or 2 weeks? Why was my lock left unfixed for 6 months? Why was I never called to put my lock on my unit, why did she never follow proper policy? So I have not been able to see the condition of my items against my request even in a non delinquent status. When asked for a manager other than Ashley we were told no, that she would speak with her manager first and if she wanted to call she would. We called, told to kick rocks & then Ashley evicted us from our unit with no valid explanation. When we called the management company back again, we were told Ashley accused us of harassing and following her. Ashley also blames a string of break ins on a "Mexican man that was living in his car in the back lot" well I feel super safe now knowing that you weren't even aware someone else was living on site! This was a last minute thing and the only close company available with units we needed to help our kiddos mom out. NEVER again & I fully intend to get answers as Ashley has dropped the ball. the property manager can open any unit, never send out written notice like she's supposed to, she can delete/never take pictures for your file, she doesn't check locks, she honestly doesn't do anything but become irate with customers when she can't answer a question or doesn't like what you have to say & evicts you when she doesn't want to deal with the issue she created. lastly, property manager Ashley also likes to employ her boyfriend whom owns Plant Management Landscape solutions to harass people, & stand in on conversations with tenants. Instead of calling a supervisor to help she calls her boyfriend. Very unprofessional for her & him as well & is poor representation for Plant Management Landscape solutions while he pretends to intimidate situations he has no business with. read more

This place is horrible so I booked a u haul for 6:30 am so, therefore, I went to sleep early when I woke up I had a text message stating my reservation had been changed to 10 am and a email (see photo attached ) so after waiting 40 mins I was told I was at the wrong place it had been changedto another location.... So in route I tried to call the other location and the girl said she's at a call center and could not see reservations... So I got to the new place the girl was nice but did not do her job correctly she never checked the haul with me she stated if you see something take a picture the truck was filthy and stunk so bad which there was also no gas in there she didn't do anything but sit behind the counter so I asked if I would be compensated for the inconvenience as my movers we're schedule to meet at my home at 8:30 and because of so the job wasn't able to be completed in the time frame I booked because I didn't get a haul until 11 ... The girl then stated she would call her boss to see what could be done which he said nothing because of the notification sent but I'm sure I can read and this clearly says pick up is where I usually rent from on Victor place... I don't recommend this place at all next time I'll rent from home depo or somewhere then he told me to call him and haven't returned my call so now it's above me..... Update so this guy Eddie ** the area field manager called and is driving and trying to look up my case... the background is so loud unprofessional he's trying to say I'm making up stuff when I've shown proof of the email I received he also stated they called me and it said it was a collection agency but he clearly just called the same number and got a hold of me I hate conflict and complaining but this here is absurd I'm completely baffled... I stored my stuff here for seven months. I was out of town and relocating from Denver to Colorado Springs while my house down here was being built. Both Michelle and Michael were so helpful and courteous for everything I needed and in answering every question I had. They treat you like you've known them forever and you are their good friend. The climate controlled storage units were clean and the property well-maintained. I would recommend them to everyone looking for storage. read more

My experience with AAA Platte Storage was a really bad one. I call ahead so my car will be waiting for me, but instead they have a new employee alone in the front counter and she didn't know how to get my car out of storage. At this point I'll be waiting at the counter for 52 minutes and still don't know when I'm getting the car. Don't use this storage unless is a last resort. To finish it the manager tell the employee to tell me to come back. Really? I call ahead. DON'T use this facility. read more

Left my car there for over 40 months, there was a mix up with the changing of management. The new manager not only took care of my issue they did it very quickly and purchased me a new battery. They support the military and veteran community constantly and take excellent care of vehicles left in there care, would recommend their services and use them again. read more

I have had a storage unit for probably 10 years now; out of that 10 years I have had a storage unit with AAA Platte Self Storage for somewhere around 4 or 5 years I would guess. Since new management has taken over I have seen price increases, had trouble contacting staff, and with payments being made correctly that never occurred before. I get busy and a few times over the years have forgot to call and make a payment, so when I received a late fee I knew that it was because of my action's; however I have always been a good tenant. I have paid every month, many times a couple in advance, the few times I missed the due date I was on the phone making my payment immediately no problem. The old management knew your name and you would be greeted with a sincere "Hi, how are you?", not anymore. When it started to become an issue to call and get someone on the phone and make a payment I asked about Auto Pay, I was told that was an option and after several calls I finally got a hold of someone who could set this up. This went smooth for a few months and then all of the sudden it just stopped, causing me to have a late fee. As soon as I found out the bill was delinquent I called to find out what was going on and was told I had been talked to about this twice. The woman Stephanie who took my call could not have been more smug in her tone of voice. I received no phone call's about anything from AAA Platte Self Storage, in fact I have never received a phone call from AAA Plate Storage. The electronic bill that I was sent has an address that I have never heard of - this was corrected with them once before when I set up the Auto Pay. The card I paid the now late bill with went through just fine with no further information when Stephanie ran it with me on the phone. This card is not a credit card it holds cash funds and I checked the balance on the day AAA Platte Self Storage should have ran it and there were more than enough funds to cover the storage costs. When I spoke to Stephanie I asked her how I would go about closing my storage unit; to her credit she gave me very simple instructions "Tell me what date you will be out"; I can not help but wonder what kind of business strategy it is to genuinely not care about long time customer's. Out with the old and in with the New I suppose, its a good way to be able to charge higher costs for the same product and not be questioned about it. This is a decent storage facility - the customer service / management is where things fall apart. From my experience you can find facilities that offer product and service. read more

I have had nothing but a positive experience with AAA Platte Storage. When they had leaks in the roof, they contacted me and asked me to check my unit for any water damage. Thankfully, there was none. The only thing I would have asked for was more available carts or dollies and longer lights. The only reason I could not give 5 stars is due to the two minute timer the lights are on. Every two minutes you have to step out of your storage unit and move to the motion timer to get the lights to turn back on. Not very convenient when you are searching thru boxes. I was told by the maintenance guy to hunt him down and he would change the timer to 15 minutes. I was told I would have to do this each visit. If you are in a hurry, again, this is not very convenient. Other than not being able to see inside my unit without a flashlight, everything else about the facility is 5 star! read more

I've only had the storage unit a few months, but I've been happy with AAA Platte Self Storage. The people are friendly. I'm comfortable with the security there. I know they walk and check the units, because one time my hubby accidentally left the lock off the door. Platte SS called within hours to let us know, so my hubby went back and locked it. We have had this storage for several years and the service has gotten constantly worse! We store vans in the parking spots behind the gate, vans that we use for transporting Intellectually Disabled adults for a non profit day program. For several days the gate has been broken, not opening when we pick the vans up in the morning (so we have to wait) or just being left open period. Two weeks ago our vans were broken into. The CEO of our company went down to see about the vans and file a police report. The assistant manager, who was working the front desk, told her she would not talk to her until she was done with what she needed to do (and not in a nice way)....that took an hour!! Then she said she would not call the police, the CEO had to. When the police officer finally got there, the assistant manager made him wait 15 minutes...so that she could talk on her cell phone to her friend. Her behavior was so rude and unhelpful the officer said he would be including it in his report. The entire process took three hours!!! If you say you provide secure parking, then ensure the gates close, but seriously...we understand stuff happens....so there's no reason to be rude!! And wouldn't you want to know if anyone else's car has been broken into? Wouldn't you want to call and have the tapes checked. Don't you have an obligation to notify other vehicle owners that there property may have been vandalized? I called to report the Assistant managers behavior, not our first run in with her (she previously was rude as hell after she towed one of our cars by mistake...read that, she towed one of our cars and then caught an attitude about it...WITH US!!). I was told the regional manager would be calling us back, Andrea. Haven't heard a word back!!! We closed our accounts and moved our vans to somewhere much nicer, cheaper, and SAFER!!! read more
