What impressed me most was the care they took with the entire job. They weren't rushing to get in and out. They took their time, did things the right way, and pointed things out to me as they went so I understood what they were doing and why. No bubbling or peeling up of the finish, they've sustained through cat and dog pee and poo, little kids spilling all sorts of things, I even spilled nail polish on the floor and used a little bit of acetone (I know I know) to clean it up and the finish wasn't affected at all! I called Daniel - and after almost 10 years he still answered the phone! He sent over Andrei to remove the flooring so we could replace the dishwasher and then Andrei came back to reinstall the flooring. Fortunately, I kept two boxes and now the floor looks as good as new again! This was a small job for Desert Wood Floors, but they handled it just perfectly. I highly recommend these guys! I am writing this review about the poor services I received from Desert Wood Floors LLC, ROC 303997…read morerepresented by manager/owner Alin Budure. I first contacted Alin Budure (Bibi) on September 26th to ask about a quote for vinyl flooring for my cabin located at 2942 Wildcat Trail, Overgaard, AZ, 85933. We had been constantly in contact via text or calls and he gave me a quote of $4,125 that included the vinyl flooring install, removal of old baseboard and install of new ones, furniture move and removal of old carpet. A contract was never provided by Desert Wood Floors LLC and a start date was never established. On October 27th Alin texted me he will be at the house in Overgaard around 7-8 am to start the floor install. On October 28th, two of his employees arrived at my residence in Overgaard. None of them spoke English so it was extremely hard to communicate with them. Therefore, I called Bibi several times to help with communication between the workers and myself. All this time I was under the impression that Bibi would be the one to install the floor. Or, at least come with his employees to assess the job needed to be done. Never expected two non-English speaking employees to show up without their manager even assessing the job site. The two workers moved the furniture, removed the old baseboards, removed the old carpet and installed the floors and the new baseboards (as agreed) by the next day, October 29th. Bibi had not come to Overgaard to do a walk through but the same day, October 29th, he sent me an invoice and requested to make the payment via check in his name (Alin Budure) not his company. On November 7th I wrote him a check for the entire amount of $ 4,125 that was cashed by him on November 10th, 2023. On October 29th, I sent Bibi pictures with issues found (floor planks edges not meeting, chips in floors around the shower and by the doors, nails in the T-molding), cut extension cord). Bibi stated that "that split piece can be put together with no problems" , "for the nails, they need caulking", and "you can put same color cocking in the chips in the floor to cover them". On November 3rd, when my ETS was installed, I noticed few other issues with the floor around the house (floor buckling in few spots, planks edges not meeting with space left in between planks, chips in floor, moving floor when stepped on, and significant differences in floor height) . I called Bibi at 1700 that day, no answer, he called me back at 17:12 and again I expressed my concerns regarding the way the floor looks and it was installed. He then stated "I don't know what's there, I haven't seen it" and "what do you expect, it is too cold there". I then explained Bibi that the temperature in the house is constant at 65 degrees and maintained by both an ETS (electric thermal storage) and a gas stove both controlled by thermostats set up at 65 degrees. He still stated that it is too cold and started raising his voice to me. On December 20th at 1000 and 1048, I called Alin again informing him that I will be in Overgaard the next day (December 21st) and I asked him to at least come over, asses the floor and repair what needed to be repaired rather than having to go a different route. Alin then asked "are you threatening me?' I said no, I am asking you to fix the issues in an amiable way and do right by me". He further stated "you can do whatever you want, you will not get anywhere". Alin was literally yelling at me saying "I never wanted to put the floor". I reminded him that it was solely his decision to take the job and that he was paid in full for it. As I saw the conversation wasn't a cordial one, I ended the conversation. On December 21st I went back to Overgaard and I sent Bibi more pictures/videos of the floor. In some places the floor height difference is up to three quarters of an inch, chips in the floor planks (at the edges), floors buckles in multiple places), floor planks edges do not meet with significant gaps in between. As the previous phone conversations lead nowhere and Bibi was constantly rude and raising his voice at me, I decided to email him instead of calling/texting. On December 23rd, 2o22, I sent Bibi 9 emails with videos and pictures of the floor included asking him to review the pictures/videos and to repair the floor. He has read the emails the same day with no reply. On December 31st, 2022 at 1119, I sent Bibi another email reminding his that I received no reply and I am still waiting on his decision to repair the floors.

We used Cranmore flooring for our 3 bedrooms needing new carpet as well as our loft getting some…read morenew vinyl. I first checked on Facebook for recommendations and their company was highly recommended. I had put in for a consult and within minutes I got an e-mail to set us up for a measurement. We then went into the office and picked out carpet first. We put in our order back in June. After ordering that, we found some vinyl we liked and ordered it mid-July while awaiting the carpet. The carpet was taking forever to be delivered, with multiple delays. We actually received our vinyl before the carpet was ever delivered. Finally, come beginning of August we reached out to Cranmore again, as we had not heard about the carpet and it had already been almost 2 months since we initially ordered it. We heard back from the company, that they would make it right. They gave us a discount and upgraded us to a better carpet that they had in stock since they weren't able to tell us when ours would be delivered. The end result was the vinyl, and carpet looks amazing, and we are very happy with it. We understand things happen out of their control, but in the end they made it right.

They used a series of independent contractors (no employees) to complete our work which was shotty to say the least. All grout lines are inconsistent, edging is off on many places, and floor sloping is not right. Tiffany never called to check in and Art never answers or returns a call (only texts), and they didn't even bother to come see the completed work either. Had they bothered to come look at completed product they would've see a yard full of tile fragments/trash and white spray from tile saw all over the yard since they didn't tarp. They left all the boxes from tile sitting in side yard, their lunch drinks and trash on our bathroom counters, and drips of grout/mortar stuff everywhere. And finally they threw a bag of leftover grout over the wall since they didn't want to bother opening the gate. So I spent hours cleaning up and will have to wait for a ton of rain for my yard to ever look okay again. I have to paint the walls around the project from them needing to hire a drywall expert and deal with a final result that, being very generous is okay. I would never recommend them to anyone and would actually highly recommend using anyone else.
