I wouldn't even rate them a 1! They are no longer at the 6643 South Dixie Hwy address! Everything is done by phone! Worthless! I've had their bundle for 2 years. My policy with minimal coverage, living in Miami was almost $10,000. I called them Aug 24, 2025 to request only fire coverage, liability, law & ordinance at 25%, (state minimal) They gave it 10%. As I was told, they don't like doing that. I had to do some fast talking with Kathye. An hour & a 1/2 conversation with me, putting me on hold about 1/2 of that time: she finally gave me an approximate quote. I was told I would hear from them in approximately 24 hours. She must have made up that quote! I left for vacation the following day. I never heard anything. So Tuesday July 29 through August 6, including Sunday, I called them everyday to find out what my quote was. They gave me excuses. Your paperworks not filled out correctly. The final person I spoke with, Herbert actually left me a message the day before my policy expired that the underwriter still hadn't responded. Then they charged me the almost $10,000 via bill pay. Have been a AAA member for many years. Today I had to call for towing. AAA sends you a link by text so you can fill out pick up and drop off location. First they sent me a 2 hour window. After those 2 hours of waiting they updated the time to another 3 hours and never showed up. Apparently they are using a company called Ice Towing in Miami but they do not give you their number. Updates are received after the window so you really never know for sure how long you will be waiting. In the past AAA would send alerts to your phone constantly. Do no spend the $$ on membership and just call a local company that will give you a definite time. read more

Avoid..avoid. avoid...in my 53 years I have never once called a supervisor, to complain about a employee..this was beyond imaginable, the way she handled it, she told me it was my own fault my car broke down..I called aaa at 4pm..make a long story short..I thought everything was taken care of, after 4 calls saying they are on there way..well my phone rings at 4am..saying they can't find it..guess why..well the cops towed it, after sitting there for 12 hours in the middle of biscayne..next day, I explain the nonsense they put me through yesterday, she assured me a truck would be there at the impound .again 4x promises 4x a different excuse, since I didn't want to pay another night at the tow yard, I paid myself..I asked to be reimbursed, for the $400 for tows, and about 8 round trips on uber, which came to about $240..sure enough, I didn't receive a Nickel..I have been with them for 40 years, gold member..and this is how they treat there customers..well I told all family and friends..I'm sure they could give 2 craps..but they lost 7 lifetime customers read more

Extremely disappointed with the service I received from AAA. Three plus hours being locked out of my car, numerous calls and all you really get is "we'll get there when we get there. That's not emergency roadside assistance, that's not service for a company that I have been member since I was old enough to drive, Im 61, so that's a long time. Premier membership, means nothing to them. I always had piece of mind knowing I had AAA, but if that was my wife or kids being stuck like that, I would loose it. My last service about 2 years ago for a tire blowout was 4 hours, but that was a Friday afternoon on a long weekend, I kinda expected a wait- not that long- but a wait. This time it was 2:30 in the afternoon, said someone would be there in 45 minutes to an hour, great, then 1 hour, 2 hours , finally about 5:45 pm someone shows up. No explanation, no apologies, I know it's not the mechanics fault. It's poor service management and AAA not having enough reputable companies to keep the wait times down. I am canceling my membership and not recommending to buy this false sense of security. They might be good at getting you discounts for attractions, but not any good for roadside assistance and that was their mainstay since the beginning, truly a shame. read more

This is the second time in a year that I have requested road service for a simple jump start. The first time I waited 2 hours. the technician tested the battery. It was bad. He replaced it on site, with one from his truck. That battery failed within 2 months. I had to replace it again. This time, I was told that my wait time was 25 minutes. Later, on the screen, the wait time was 3 hours. 25 minute delay to speak to a human in customer service on Sunday night. So i am waiting 3 hours in the dark in a not so good neighborhood. If zero stars was an option I'd go with that. Our rental car's keys were stolen and we were told a tow would be there within an hour. This was at 9 pm and we were stranded with no transportation on the side of a busy highway. 1 am rolls around and no updates, no tracking number, and no help has shown up. We called back multiple times and were absolutely given the run around and essentially told we just needed to wait and they couldn't give us an estimated time for our tow to arrive. We called a private tow (to the tune of $200) so that we could get off the highway. It is now 11 am THE NEXT DAY and AAA is JUST NOW sending someone. Horrific customer service, zero compassion, and the most ridiculous wait i've ever had as a AAA member of many years. Don't waste your breath or money, you're better off walking. read more

absolutely terrible in the last few years. no aaa operators left in the upper fla keys. now service trucks have to come from miami area resulting in very long waits or no shows. customer service has become very poor snd it appears if you complain or actuality try and use the service after being a loyal customer over 17 years they cancel your membership. which they just did to me no explanation or appeal. then i looked all the other recent negative reviews 1.7 stars and saw i wasn't alone. it seems like a real shame that this company has become so bad. lots of other road services out there with much better ratings. read more

IMO, membership in AAA is worth every penny. Yes, it costs something like $50/year to belong, but you can usually recoup that by taking advantage of the huge number of discounts they offer for a variety of things from dinners at lots of well known restaurants to theme park and event tickets to travel deals, etc. I've been a AAA member for a few years now, and I can tell you that these guys have saved my A$$ on more than one occasion. I've had them repair or change 2 flat tires and replace 2 dead batteries. All were situations where I was stuck, AAA was there within 15 or 20 minutes at most in each of those situations, they gave me a chilled bottle of water, were courteous, professional and got me fixed up and back on the road in no time "flat", no pun intended. IMO, AAA membership is well worth it, if for no other reason than for the peace of mind. read more

I waited 3 hours for a tow truck and then they kept adding little charges here and there and had no excuse for extending the time repeatedly. trying to get through to them on the phone takes about 20-30 minutes. then you get some incompetent person who literally it seems like there goal is not to help you but rather complicate the situation as much as possible. I will tell anyone who will listen not to use AAA. I gave them the opportunity to refund me something for my troubles and they declined. Great company way to go guys.... Extremely bad service! I have been a member since 2012 and I have only used them 2 times. One year ago for battery and two months ago for a flat tire. Today I call because I thought my battery die and when I'm calling the 1-800 number the gentleman that assist me was very nice, but I had to call back and this other agent a female name Jessica was the rudest female I have encountered over the phone. Triple a don't save the receipts that you pay for your battery or any other service that you may had to pay on your own at time of service. So she told me I have to pay for a battery $160 even though the battery my car has belongs to them. I was explaining to her that I don't have the receipt that she can look when I call and the service. She just kept on telling me that she don't see that online, but in an extremely rude way. To make the story short, after one hour and forty minutes the guy appears and it was the starter. To make the story short; the guy told me over the phone that if it was sure that it was the battery that if I want him to come to me? Didn't I call for help? He arrived and the battery was fine. All this happen at 1:00 pm, the agents forgot to call the towing truck and after 3 hours I call back they request the towing again and the guy appears around 5:45 pm. Above all, he was the nicest guy ever from Tripple a. Very concern when I told him since what time I was waiting. I had to go inside mc Donald's, after waiting outside for few hours with the heat, I got a migraine attack, I was too hot, too long the wait. Above all, honestly I don't recommend this company. When dealing with things like car issues or big business, it's not often to be so pleasantly surprised by customer service so I thought it important to "review it forward" (that's right - I just coined that). Upon learning that my car wouldn't start in its parking spot at home and following a few choice curse words, I called up AAA fully expecting them to get here, I don't know, in about 30-60 days. In less than 30 minutes my knight in shining armor shows up and the first thing he does is offer me water. Cold water from a cooler - wow, impressive - he's the one driving aroudn doing manual labor. My man doesn't just assume its my battery - he runs a full diagnostic report and prints it out for me on his handy dandy mobile printer for me to keep - squelching any reservations I had that it actually was the battery. "So, where do I need to get towed," I ask, resigned. Nope he says - I got your battery right here. I forget exactly how much it cost but being the admitted frugal I am, I looked up estimated prices on my smart phone. AAA was right in line - maybe $10 or so more than the smarties on the internet were claiming - but you know what it's Miami and the door to door service well worth the $10 service charge. I am completely disappointed with AAA service today. My wife's purse and my wallet with our keys were stolen in Miami Beach and we were unable to drive our rental car back to Orlando. We were literally stranded with no money, no transportation, and no shelter all night. We called for roadside assistance at 9:30pm and help didn't arrive until 8:30am the next morning. My wife called several times throughout the night and was lied to and the personnel was unwilling to help. When tow personnel arrived at 8:30am they were unable to help us because they didn't have the equipment to open the vehicle and gear the car to neutral because AAA failed to mention our car keys were stolen. So we waited another hour in a half to finally get some help (10:00am). How can you let your premier AAA members wait 12 in a half hours to get proper assistance? If you live in Miami and are looking for roadside assistance do not get it through AAA. I have been a member for 10+ years and while the service was great it is not anymore. A few months ago my car broke down and even though they quoted me 45 minutes for a tow it took around 2 hours. They said they were backed up that day so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Fast forward to Tuesday night of this week, my tire shreds and I call for a tow and again given a 45 minute wait time. After an hour and 15 minutes I call back and I'm told again that they are backed up and the original company they called could not make it so they are sending a tow truck from a company in North Miami no where near where I broke down. I had to call them to get this information, no one reached out to me. I then get a call from the driver saying he is lost because AAA gave him the wrong address. He finally arrives 2 and a half hours after my original call. Today I call AAA at 1pm to tow my car to the mechanic and given a 45 minute wait time. I specifically requested a flat bed. 1hour and 15 minutes go by I call and what do you know they are backed up and delayed and the supervisor admits they should have called me two times with updates and no one did. The tow shows up 2 hours after my first call and it is the wrong tow truck! I am then told an additional 45 minutes for the correct one. I kept telling the supervisor I had to be at the shop by 4:30 because they close for the day and he assured me they would arrive prior. He then calls me at 3:50 and says the company is too backed up and will not make it period. So I am now left stranded and must wait an entire week without a car to take it next Saturday as I cannot miss work. No matter what day and time you call and no matter what time you are quoted they are always backed up and you will wait a minimum of 2 hours for a tow. You pay for this service for peace of mind and they leave you stranded and stessed out. This is unacceptable and a waste of money. Needless to say I am canceling my membership and finding different company. read more

On May 2014 I bought a membership for AAA and I never needed to use it until last Monday. I had two flat tires. The first tow truck arrived one hour later after I requested the service at 9 pm. The guy told me I have to move my car by myself and sign a paper explaining I was doing to my own risk because one flat was completely on the ground. I though he could change that flat tire by my spare, but for that request I needed a new request to AAA. I agreed to open a new request, but he said he will not change my flat tire and he left the place. One hour later after many calls to AAA the guy to change the flat tire arrived and again many calls to found out when the tow truck would arrive until 1:15 am when I decided to cancel the request until next morning and called a friend for a raid. Next morning I opened a new request to move my car two block to a repair shop near the place. After many call I decided to do it by myself with a good neighbor who took the tires to the repair shop. I though AAA membership could give me the peace of mind if I have a situation like this, but I was completely wrong. read more

My family has always had a AAA Auto Club membership for its roadside or towing service. Even if you're a passenger in the car and it breaks down, you can use your AAA card for towing or a battery issue. In some areas of the U.S. they will even send a tire service vehicle to plug a flat. That all said, I needed an International Drivers permit for driving in Europe and ended up at this AAA office in South Miami. For $15 and two passport-size photos, I was able to get the permit in less than 30 minutes. In addition, I didn't have the passport photo but at this office, they were able to take them and since I was a AAA PLUS member, the passport photos were free (Ugh, I dreaded standing in line at another passport photo place). That alone is another great benefit of AAA if you need a new passport. Lastly, in the digital age the free AAA maps to members are no longer a huge benefit, but I picked up some great maps of Europe and the routes I will be driving on since the rental car in Europe won't have Nav. read more

I finally flagged down a tow truck on my own. I filed a claim to be reimbursed by AAA because of non performance and it was rejected. If I could give negative stars I would. For years I had triple A and never used it. So I get a flat tire and I wait an hour for the person to come, ok fine. So all the employee has to do is look at the spare tire and in very clear black and easy to see writing it says the spare needs 60 psi of air. So what does he put in? 40. I said right then and there, why would you put 20 lbs less psi into the spare tire than recommended? He said because the tire is small. I said size of the tire doesn't mean anything, my bike tire takes twice as much as my actual car tire. So no, he didn't add anymore air. I waited an hour for someone to come and change my tire and not put enough air into it. I looked on car mechanics website and he said less than 55 psi is unsafe. So great, what if the tire got damaged and I had to pay for it or it got damaged in a bad area or I got in an accident as a result of the spare tire going out. AAA has the worst customer service ever! When I called to alert them of the possible danger, II had to tell my story three times and be put on hold for ten minutes and the whole thing took a half hour. The rep showed no comprehension of the ramifications of the situation and told me I could wait another hour for someone to come and put air in my tire. How wonderful they treat their customers!! Then I spoke with her supervisor and I told him about the ramifications and he's like "Well the light side is none of those things happened". Really? Did I need him to tell me none of these things happened? No because that's not even what I was saying, I was saying they could have happened and they better take this seriously. Then he told me his customer service rep did the right thing by passing me onto him and I said no, I MYSELF ASKED to speak with you. So he got that wrong on top of everything else His name is Dennis and he was patronizing and was talking to me as if I was a small child. It was the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life, a confederacy of dunces. I"ll be using any roadside assistance program other this because literally it would be hard to imagine finding worse outside of a third world country. read more
