I had a very unfortunate experience today with AAA Taxi. I was traveling from Los Angeles back to JFK, needed airport pick up at 10:30pm and drop off in Floral Park. I called this morning and spoke to a very nice dispatch who took my flight info, credit card and promised a driver would be available. A couple hours later, I found out my flight was delayed by 30 minutes so I called dispatch to alert them. Gerald (not the dispatch operator who took my call in the morning) answered the phone and began to yell at me, he said they can't pick up that late, have no way to call the airlines to find out about flight delays and that he couldn't help me. I try to support local businesses and have given this company multiple chances. Service and car quality is very hit or miss, but this is the final straw. If you need RELIABLE transportation, look elsewhere. There's a reason why they get so many 1-star reviews. read more

I've used this Taxi service a few times and it's been a mixed bag. I've either gotten horribly rude drivers that yell because the door is an automatic open and close door so they had to spend an extra 2-3 min fixing it because I tried to open it by myself. However, how am I supposed to know that without the driver or the dispatcher informing me of that BEFORE the driver arrives? I've also had drivers that drove WAY too fast and honked their horns a ton. But I've also had lovely drivers that had gotten me from point A to point B without issue or strife. The straw that broke the camels back, and the reason I won't be returning to AAA Taxi, is the dispatcher. He never gives out a price for how much your ride is going to be, and always asks how much YOU think the ride is supposed to be. I always go short distances and say anywhere between $15-$18 and he always seemed fine with that except one day I said $15 and he threw a hissy fit, said that price was impossible, and hung up on me. I had an important doctors appointment to go to that day and instead of paying with cash and going by taxi like I wanted, I had to scramble and use my debit card to take an Uber for $16 instead. Here's the thing, I would've been willing to pay up to $40 for this ride! All he had to do was TELL ME THE PRICE OF THE RIDE instead of having me guess the price he wanted me to pay! read more

I am Truly Greatful to both Jim and Especially Jay, The Cab Operator. He went out of His Way to take My Mother all the Way from Bellerose Queens to Monroe NY. My Mother Came up to Monroe in order to visit Her Gandaughter. She had the Opertunity to Watch Her Grandaughter Perform at a Dance Recital at Washingtonville High School. Lastly, Jay was One of the Kindest, Patient and Professional Operators, that I have ever had the Pleasure of wirking with. He even asked Me, if He should go look for My Mother, when We thought She was lost. I Highly recommend The above AAA Taxi Service (Jay) to all of My Family and Friends. I called them on Monday for a pickup at JFK on Tuesday night 10:30pm; they instructed me to call them as soon ad I landed. I landed at 10:15pm and I quickly called. I hot a recording that their business hours are from 6am to 10pm. I was not happy. Needless to say I had to find sn othet way to get home read more

Local Taxi I bartend in an area jammed with bars - and when those happy patrons have gone too far with the fun, we rely on AAA to get them home in one piece and without any legal problems. They arrive within a few minutes of us calling from the restaurant and wait patiently while the tipsy peeps gather their stuff and move out the door. I never heard a bad thing about them from the patrons and just about everyone in town has the number memorized! A valuable service! read more

Use Uber- as this is the most unreliable car service ever, what taxi is 20 min late for an airport drop off? Kept calling only to be told 'it's on the way' multiple times. Very stressful- so avoid. read more

I use them because they're nearby and I believe in supporting local businesses but with that being said, they need to step up their game with their reservation procedures. They say they take reservations but when you make one, they're always late, and not by 1 or 2 minutes either. When the driver finally picks me up they tell me that they just found out about this pick up and this hasn't been the first driver to say that. I arrange for a pick up at a certain time for a reason, if you can't honor that, then please just tell your customer that you can't do the pick up. The drivers have been very courteous and polite. No issues with the drivers. They'll still have my support but please fix that issue. read more

When I step inside a taxi, there's two things I wish for: 1) to get home safely 2) that I'm in the CASH CAB #1 happened with AAA Taxi. #2 did not. It's not a big deal to not have stepped into a game show. I can turn on the tv and live vicariously through fake picked contestants and strokes of dumb luck. What I don't wish for is: 1) to feel like I'm in Taxi Cab Confessions 2) to be the one playing psychiatrist to the cab driver 3) to fear for my life #1, #2, and #3 happened with AAA Taxi. It was a wild ride with AAA since we drove through a rain, thunder, and lightning storm while the driver was in a heated cell phone conversation with her man friend. Thank goodness for hands free wireless devices. I'll spare you the details of what I learned about this driver's life. TMI. AAA Taxi is a convenient car service in Floral Park. There are a bunch of bars and restaurants in the area and if you don't feel like driving or taking the LIRR, then AAA provides rides home as long as you have the money to pay. Unfortunately, I think I will be using AAA again. Cheers to emotionally stable and level headed drivers who keep to themselves. I hope I get one next time. read more

I don't know what everyone loves about being ripped off constantly. I take Ollies from Little Neck to Bellerose and the cab ride is usually $5. When I call AAA for the same ride, they were originally asking $9. Desperate times call for desperate measures, so I called, they quoted $9 and then had the nerve to charge me $12. They aren't even that reliable..every time I call them I have to call an hour early just in the off chance that I will make my train on time. I usually make my train with a minute left to spare, because the drivers don't know how to get there..not realizing that all they have to do is taking Little Neck parkway until they hit the train station...how difficult is that? They constantly give me attitude when I use them and they constantly screw me over with the price. I'm never using them again. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, OLLIE'S IS CHEAPER AND BETTER. read more

Expensive. Way too expensive. And the car I rode it? Every dashboard light was on. Check engine. Low tire pressure. Oil. The seatbelt was all twisted, which means it won't work properly when necessary. Triple AAA? Uh uh. How about a big fat F for failure to comply with motor vehicle safety laws for transporting people and maintaining your vehicles? If you're going to charge me $16 for a 2.5 mile ride it better be in a car that is safe, secure and at the very least a full complement of air tire pressure. Get with the program Triple AAA or get outta town. read more

What's great is that you tell them where you want to go and they take you there for the agreed upon price- if you want something else from a taxi, you obviously don't want a taxi. If you want to be taken on a wild adventure where you learn something, you want the Magic School Bus, but that's not what this is. They are usually within 5 minutes of when you asked them to be there; which is fine for my needs, but if you need them in an exact location at an exact moment in time, like right after a diamond heist, it might not be your first choice. The only Long Island taxi company that will leave you stranded at the base because they have a new policy of only taking one trip at a time, yet don't have enough taxis for that. Like yeah, the entire purpose of me paying you is so I can get home sooner than if I walked. N.B.: you can operate more efficiently by taking more than one passenger at once if they're headed in the same direction, like EVERY OTHER Long Island taxi company does! The next-to-last time I took a taxi, I saw two of their drivers shouting at a neighbor through her window. From now on I'll just call Ollie's myself, like the dispatcher did for me via his cell phone, and charged me even more for the trip. read more

I booked taxi for my daughter school drop off. The taxi didn't show up. When I called back to check the guy at the customer desk was very rude. He was yelling at me at the top of his voice and hung up my call before I could even finish telling him I want to cancel the return trip. I called him again and requested him to give me a call back next time when things go wrong and taxi can't pick up... The operator yelled at me asking me "WHO IS THIS... WHO IS THIS... WHO IS THIS". Even after telling my name and phone number he kept on yelling "WHO IS THIS... WHO IS THIS..." at the top of his voice. I would never take a taxi from AAA Floral Park again. If this is the way they treat their customers, very soon they are going to close as people have better options like Uber and Ola which treats customers with value. read more

Things I love about this taxi company: -In my experience they're more efficient than Ollie's or Checker Cab -They've never failed to meet me for an airport pickup. (And I've had a lot of those.) -Up until recently I never had a cab driver who didn't respect my personal boundaries. -In fact up until the last time they were my favorite Queens/LI cab company. Things I don't love: -Sometimes the drivers don't have appropriate personal boundaries. I could comment at length on the experience of my last taxi drive but since they're the most efficient game in the area and I will end up taking them again, I'll keep the commentary to myself. But, it would probably benefit everyone if drivers would keep the in taxi banter confined to "light" topics. Really the comments of the last driver I had were rude and inexcusable. But, it was 5am, so I will excuse him. read more

Great service! Experienced and knowledgeable drivers! Sometimes I get mailed a coupon for a free airport ride which is always helpful. Just tell them where you are going and what kind of car you want, and it will be there. They are almost always early upon arrival and if you fly into JFK, just call them when you land, and they will be waiting for you at passenger pick up. read more

Booked transportation from Nassau County into Manhattan for a large group. Driver was on-time for both pick-ups (10PM and 3AM). Price was extremely reasonable. Will definitely be using them again. read more

I understand that the misquoted price could have been a mistake but he did not have to address us and his own driver the way that he did! When you call they say it's a fast and reliable service and to count with them for medical appointments. They have made me be late for my appointments in more than 2 occassions. I reserved a car for 8:00 am and my appointment was 8:30. By 8:15 I called and they said it would be there any second. 8:25 and nothing I had to call CHECKERS cab. Horrible! at least they should be honest and say there is a delay because I called an hour ahead to tell them to pick me up at 8;00. read more

This place blows. Call to reserve a taxi at 7am for 810am was outside early waiting for them. 15 mins past they still weren't there so I called to find out what the delay was they said it was coming. Waited another 20 mins and still nothing called again they said they were on the way. Point is the cab didn't show up so I ended up having to walk to work in 8 degree weather. Worst cab company ever. Once they moved they don't even tell me how long I am going to wait or where there driver is after waiting 20 minutes they just say ohh a few more minutes and they raised their prices. I used to use them to go to work it was always 27 now all of a sudden it's 32 and they said oh well sorry I can't help you. Terrible service!!! read more

One of the worst taxi services in Queens, unreliable, unprofessional, very rude. They will quote one price on the phone and then will hike it up last minute leaving the customers no choice but to accept the inflated price as it would be too late to arrange for alternate travel. read more

Use to be my favorite cab service. Made me wait 30 minutes to tell me I had to wait because they had an emergency. I can give two shits about your emergency, I'm late to work, call me and tell me so I can call a more reliable taxi service. And then the lady on the phone gives me an attitude and tells me I have two choices, "cancle" or "wait!" screw this cab company screw that rude hag. The bus is more reliable than this bs. read more

The worst taxi experience I've ever had. I call them and get a quote for one price and when the cab finally comes, they try and charge me $10 extra. This was after the driver, who did not even know where he was going so I had to direct him, drove about 3/4 of a mile so they charged me $6 when I opted to leave. They wanted to charge me 35 for my destination. I was charged 26 by Ollies cab service. It was cheaper to leave AAA and call someone else than it was to stick with them. When I was finally inside the Ollie cab the driver still needed to call and verify the price I was quoted but at least it didn't change like AAA did. These people are running a sloppy business. Call at your own risk but I'm sure you won't call twice. read more

I called them in need of a ride and "all of their taxi's where at the airport". If I could, I would give them below 0 stars. What kind of taxi company are they? I am a local customer and I am definitely reporting them to the better business bureau. I was down the block and a frequent customer in need of a ride home but "all of their taxi's where at the air port". If that is the case they NEED to hire more people so they can be available for customers that are local. Is they are sending all of their employees to the air port then they are just money hungry and NEED to get inspected because the way they are running their business is not ok and also not legal. read more

Terrible!!!!! The taxis are coming apart. The driver we had was a lady didn't pick up our bags. My husband with a bad back and legs had to put the luggage in the trunk. When we go to the airport she didn't even get out of the car to get our bags!!! My husband being a good Joe gave her a nice tip. I would not have given her a penny. I told my husband he should have kept the tip, she didn't do a Blessed thing!!! read more
