When…read moreI picked up the car, the central locking on my driver's door stopped working that same day. This wasn't an issue before the repair. I dealt with Sam and Murray during the process. I called and went back to PSR straight away. They inspected the door and told me the actuator had worn out due to age and the fault wasn't related to their work. I found this surprising because the central locking had always worked normally before the repair, and the problem appeared immediately after the car was returned. My family has taken several cars to PSR over the past decade and we've always been loyal customers, so the experience this time was disappointing from a service point of view. I've now had to escalate the matter to NSW Fair Trading to resolve the issue. Sharing this here so others are aware of the experience I had.

So I nailed the backend of my car pretty hard a couple of weeks back and given my insurance covered pretty much everything, I had no drama sending the car to this repair place. So after getting my claim no, it was off to the repairers - from the moment I dropped the car off, I never once had to call them or my insurance or Hertz or a cab. Parramatta Smash Repairs organised everything on my behalf. They organised a hire car from Hertz, they organised the cab so that I can pick up the hire car, they even organised the exact time I would need the cab so that I wasn't waiting around !!! Their frontline service is amazing. They called me the day after I dropped the car to give me a progress update and continued these calls twice a week until it was ready. As I said, I never ONCE had to call them - this to me was above and beyond anything I've ever experienced. Seriously tho, I wouldn't normally review a smash repairer, but I felt like I just HAD to review this place purely because of their excellent service Ohh and the work they carried out? FLAWLESS !!!!

Yep tyres, brakes, fuel injection, transmission, oil change service and pink slips are things that avati has helped me with over the years, even though I moved from campsie to hurstville I will keep coming back to avati as I have been burnt and leant my lesson the hard way.

The Towie has my contact number and…read morehe called me a couple of times to tell me he was on his way and to ask for our exact location. He informed me how long it would take and was there precisely as estimated. When he reached, he quickly and swiftly loaded my precious Audi and I was so worried it would get scratched or something. But the Towie obviously knew his job very well and I guess he was partnered with Audi, because he made no mistake at all in attaching the car and sliding it on the ramp. He offered a ride down till Penrith, which was not part of his service, but simply as a nice gesture. It is good to know, Australians are a friendly lot and sometimes they do more than their job. I did take his visiting card, because next time I'm in trouble, I know who to call. You can reach them at 0414 TOW-ING. It was nice to know that mine was the first Audi he actually towed as they are usually quite reliable and also gave tips on which cars to avoid buying as he's constantly being called to tow them.

I am always on the lookout for "great" customer service experience. First time to Audi service --…read moreit all started with being able to make my booking from the web/iPhone. Then arriving to my drive in concierge, greeted at the reception by a smile, and offer for coffee and/transport. I said I was just going to run -- "I can do that in a take away cup if you like sir", hmm.. Do you have soy? "We don't but if you are ok to wait a minute I can go downstairs to the cafe and bring you up one" :) cool. Full iPad check in, and service details emailed to my account. I ended up staying for a bit as their was a free shuttle to Surry hills and wifi as well for me to write this review. Sam also showed me how they have the latest tech. So.. They just came over to me to tell me the shuttle is 5 mins away, and offered me a muffin on yoghurt. I am going to start hiring some of these people :)

I have found that I donot need to take the car back after a repair has been carried out, its fixed the first time. The staff will explain clearly to you what the problem is and how it should be fixed before a repair is carried out. They will call you if any unforeseen problem crops up to see how you want to proceed. They are friendly and helpful and know what they are talking about. Quotes are accurate without hidden extras. I have no hesitation in recommending them

It's tiresome needing tyres. They know you need 'em. If you're really unlucky they know you need…read more'em and that you cannot afford the time shopping around but lucky for you I did all the tiresome work for you. If you're on the Lower North Shore you can save big bucks. I'm talking a $100 difference on the tyre I needed ($220 fitted with Payless vs $270 for tyre plus labour of $50 with another well known mobile business). Alas the tyre I needed wasn't in stock but they ordered it in and was fitted within 24 hours (the jobs itself took 10 minutes). The workshop is gorgeously filthy. The guys working there straight talking 'getting on with the job' types. Even better there' not a Pirelli calendar in sight. In fact (hilariously) the tyre company has replaced the human birds with the Avian variety. This month's was a rather charming Kookaburra. I was so charmed by the bird that I didn't even mind when they kindly offered to reverse my car of the garage. My inner-Feminist just growled quietly and smiled. Located just off Warringah Road next to the Carwash about 4 minutes north of Chatswood. Job's a good 'un.
