Our expectation was to get a few drinks and get something to eat. We arrived to realize the space has been renovated yet again moving the main bar in the middle of the main floor. The tables had red signs indicating what table numbers they are which gave us the impression that a server would be over to take our order. NOPE! We sat there for about 30 mins before approaching the bar closest to the bathroom to ask if someone would be taking our order and ran into the owner who seemed to have an attitude. He said everyone was busy and that we would have to place our order at the bar. We stood there trying to process the fact that there was no servers for an advertised day party. This was an immediate turn off and I wanted to leave and go somewhere else at this point but we were so hungry so we decided to stay. We placed an order for our food and drinks and paid the bill which of course included gratuity. The bartender made our drinks which were only prepared 3/4 full so we didn't even get a decent drink. I wrote our table numbers on the receipt as we were never asked for that information. The food came out about 15-20 mins later. We all got the catfish. I got two sides, yams with collard greens but I got green beans instead. I didn't even bother saying anything given the lack of care and service we had already experienced. The catfish and the yams were good but the green beans were a bit on the salty side. While DJ Biskit was on point as alway, I have no plans on returning to this place anytime soon. The hookah was really strong so expect a buzz and the wings were really good. The service could be better - it's not like they had much to do outside of replacing coals and bringing chasers.
