Late night happy hour!
Amayi G.

This place is really dope! Located in Mt. Vernon area of Baltimore which was my first time visiting this area. The area itself gave me a NY type vibe from the Village area. There's lots of restaurants and bars but mixed with local residences so you can expect a tamed and enjoyable environment. Inside is very chic with three areas to choose from. The entry lounge area when you first walk in with available hightop tables/stools and couches with a bar, further in is like a vip style section with couches, bar and dj and in the back a small intimate patio section. The middle section is the loudest but the option of moving to a quieter area is nice if you want to hear the music but still be able to hold a convo. If you ready to turn up and get litty then the middle lounge section is for you lol. As you get towards the middle and back area walking is a bit tight especially if you want to use the bathroom which is in the rear of the place. Came for a late happy hour on Friday from 8p-10p which was awesome because most places stop by 7p. So to be able to go hime wash of the work day and still to catch a vibe is cool. They have $5 Sangrias (Red/white) along with rail drinks. I had about 5 so you know they were good lol. Had a nice respectable buzz. Despite the overwhelming amount of people the two bartenders were able to meet everyone's needs and the wait time for a drink was literally a few minutes which impressed me alot. I didnt order any food but the people that I was with did and it looked really good. The was plated and presented like a five star restaurant Gordon Ramsey would be proud lol. The portions seemed small like a tappas style plate but I it's a bar so I get it. The nachos and I think shrimp and chicken kabob was ordered. The pieces of chicken and shrimp portions were big. The multi colored nachos looked crispy and had all the trimings on them. I was told that it was tasty. The outstanding service, dope chic atmosphere, nice surrounding area and variety of music makes this place a definite place to visit for a late night happy hour, date night or dudes/girls night out. Not sure if parking is an issue after 8pm but I caught a street parking but there's plenty of parking lots available. If worst comes to worst Lyft/Uber. Definitely will be back!

I visited Sangria for a mixer. The drinks were great but they ran out of shrimp and failed to notify me when placing my order for shrimp tacos. I waited 40 minutes for shrimp tacos and then after hounding down the waitress she finally got an answer 20 minutes later that shrimp were sold out so i wouldnt get any shrimp tacos. Okay I visited last night 5/2/18 for salsa night. The waitress was really nice and helped my bf and I decide which drink we wanted. The drinks were great and strong. I ordered the shrimp tacos that I wanted last time lol and my bf ordered the nachos. Let me just say stick to drinks. There were barely any shrimp in the tacos, but my bf thought the nachos were okay. Salsa was amazing!

Go early if you want a chill setting lol..not much room but the DJ was great and so was the food. Drinks were watered down, overall I'd return for happy hour.

Prices for drinks specials on a Sunday afternoon we're good. $5 for sangrias. I ordered two, but they were too sugary. When I went back and asked for. Strawberry sangria, the bartender said they were out to order a different flavor. I could clearly see that they still had a lot left. My friends and I went to the back where they had just finished a BBQ. We played Jenga and enjoyed ourselves but people stared at and we felt out of place but we kept enjoying our selves. They closed at 9pm so we were being kicked out at the end of a Jenga game. I begged the bouncer and said, "Please. We're almost done." He said, "No." While we were leaving, many people weren't kicked out and the bouncer stood there and joked around with several customers. We felt un-welcomed.

So I am going to go ahead and give the Restaurant/club five stars because of the excellent customer service. Everybody was nice especially the bar maids ,they were GREAT. I had a few grievances tho. So their drink ( Purple Sangria) was sooooo good. But they ran out. I got a chance to taste my friend drink when I arrived but I wanted to order it and it was gone. I was so disappointed. I really wanted it. I hope that they will continue to make plenty and especially on Thursdays because the crowd was pretty heavy and I know at least three other people that wanted more. Also I wanted some Jerk Chicken wings that were on the menu but they were not serving those either! The food was good, atmosphere was great and the music was cool too. I would give them another chance and go again with hopes of getting plenty of the delicious sangria and jerk wings next time. This place has plenty of potential!

A hood spot with better surrounding options. The Sangria is lagging. It could benefit from some actual fruit and liquor.

What the best time to go on a saturday night?

Around 10pm. It's just starting to get busy but not so bad that you can't go ahead and order your drink.

I'd like to side on the positive. When my cousin arrived, we stored my controversial satchel in the boot of the vehicle and ventured in. The host seated us next to another trio and we shared the low slung table for hookah paraphernalia and drinks. "This place is BYOB". The do have cups of ice in the back. And an assortment of juices, sodas, and teas to cut the alcohol you bring. I enjoyed the music. Hip hop mostly, and very very very loud. Lots of stripper hip-hop the kids are producing these days. There was a few huge TVs in our area as well broadcasting the Lakers beating Golden State in the final quarter. The hats must go off to the waitresses working the hookahs. They were always in the area, checking on progress. Don't be thrown off by the 4 stars. I'm 50, so I'd only come back here if my family decided to. The music and scene isn't classic hip-hop or R&B from the 80s and 90s.

This scene certainly is not for everyone. The crowd was mostly in their early 20s and predominantly female. Great opportunity for young men to meet some young women that are more than likely twerking and enjoying their BYOB drinks. Being our first time here, it was a little confusing as to whether we had to find our own seat or the server was going to do that for us. The hookah smoked great and the vibe was fun. The security in Kevlar was a little concerning to me, but maybe that the norm at clubbish places these days. When the music went off and the lights came on, everyone was quick to scurry out of there. The staff came over and was chatting with us, even exchanging drinks with us. They really respected their elders . Wednesdays are free crabs and discounted hookahs. The staff said it's their favorite night. Perhaps more chill than a Saturday. There is a liquor store in this shopping center which made this a very quick stop before going to the lounge. Despite being much older than their regular Saturday night crowd... I would totally go back!

They have a lot of dry-aged meats here (including their burger), and I thought it was good and still a little juicy. The fries were average fries. I also got an orange crush that was also good, a cider, and sampled their slushies. They have a strawberry bourbon slushie I really liked. I would have ordered it but it was strong and I had already gotten the crush, so I'll just have to come back for it. The other slushie was a coffee one and I'm not a huge coffee person, but if you like coffee, you'd probably like that. Children are allowed here until 7 pm I believe. Unfortunately, they do not do tours (anymore). I'd like to see them bring this back because I'm always interested in the process and also hearing about how things are produced. You order food on one side (and can also order cocktails on that side too) but the beers and others are ordered on the brewery side. You're able to open a tab on either side though and it will be connect, so you don't have to do multiple transactions. Cool interior as well.

That used to be our lil hangout. So my review of the 'new and improved' MK may be a little slighted. Okay one, the location of the lounge is pretty nice, off in the cut of Woodlawn and in the corner of a Shopping center. When MK is opened, the only traffic in that shopping center is for Pejus, MK, and maybe a few eateries. There is a HUGE parking lot so parking is never a issue. The line gets long at times, especially since MK is not that big. Bring your ID, they will ask and frisk. The admit price is a little high (compared to what it was a yr ago). Once you get in, there are couches against the walls, tables, and little stools/ chairs closest to the walkway. The music is hiphop/rap exclusively on the Fri/Sat/Holiday nights and really loud. Hookah: The hookahs are large and you can ask for extra hoses (depending on the size of your group plus a extra charge) They don't mind putting ice in the bowl if you ask. The flavors are star buzz and Al Fahkar - both give a full smoke and nice flavor. (I personally recommend Star-buzz - it seems to last a little longer). MY ONLY ISSUE with the Shisha is that some of the back staff don't pack the top bowl where the shisha doesn't get stuck to the foil which will give you a burnt taste after a few pulls. So if you are a hookah smoker - there may need to be a few adjustments during your visit. Drinks: BYOB!!!! I dont really like the {new} system. They check your bottle at the door, put a tag on it basically connecting it to your party, and they take the drink to the 'bar'. Every time you want a drink, you have to go ::let them pour YOUR drink FOR YOU::. Please be reminded, in the state of MD, you cant 'serve' alcohol after 2. Sooooo MAKE SURE YOUR BOTTLE IS GONE BEFORE TWO! After warnings, they will trash it, and NO you can not bring it out...Ultimately its a nice spot to hang on a weekend where you dont feel like going downtown, Pejus or the Windsor. ***NOTE: You CAN go to Pejus and order a hookah in there from MK (Dont let them tell you - you can't, I've done it.)
