Ever want to sit down at the club? What if I told you, that's possible? Definitely BYOB, and make sure it's a big bottle.

We came in later on a Saturday night. It was $65 for a hookah which seemed steep; however the place…read morewas busy and the DJ was pumping out loud music, making conversation difficult. This scene certainly is not for everyone. The crowd was mostly in their early 20s and predominantly female. Great opportunity for young men to meet some young women that are more than likely twerking and enjoying their BYOB drinks. Being our first time here, it was a little confusing as to whether we had to find our own seat or the server was going to do that for us. The hookah smoked great and the vibe was fun. The security in Kevlar was a little concerning to me, but maybe that the norm at clubbish places these days. When the music went off and the lights came on, everyone was quick to scurry out of there. The staff came over and was chatting with us, even exchanging drinks with us. They really respected their elders . Wednesdays are free crabs and discounted hookahs. The staff said it's their favorite night. Perhaps more chill than a Saturday. There is a liquor store in this shopping center which made this a very quick stop before going to the lounge. Despite being much older than their regular Saturday night crowd... I would totally go back!

Aside from this the staff was kinda rude. Taking tones with me that were totally unwarranted. I don't recommend this lounge.

I'd like to side on the positive. When my cousin arrived, we stored my controversial satchel in the boot of the vehicle and ventured in. The host seated us next to another trio and we shared the low slung table for hookah paraphernalia and drinks. "This place is BYOB". The do have cups of ice in the back. And an assortment of juices, sodas, and teas to cut the alcohol you bring. I enjoyed the music. Hip hop mostly, and very very very loud. Lots of stripper hip-hop the kids are producing these days. There was a few huge TVs in our area as well broadcasting the Lakers beating Golden State in the final quarter. The hats must go off to the waitresses working the hookahs. They were always in the area, checking on progress. Don't be thrown off by the 4 stars. I'm 50, so I'd only come back here if my family decided to. The music and scene isn't classic hip-hop or R&B from the 80s and 90s.

Sunday's are great, not too crowded and amazing music. 90s-2000s vibe music, and the hookah is amazing

I visited Myste for a private event, and while the space itself is very aesthetically pleasing, the…read moreoverall experience was disappointing, mainly due to the food and service. The lounge is on the smaller side, which actually worked well for the event and gave it an intimate vibe. The owner was also very nice and welcoming, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The menu is extremely limited, and you pretty much have to piece together a meal from a few items. I ordered the jollof rice and six-piece chicken wings. The wings were overpriced, overcooked, and had no flavor at all. The only options were sauces on the side (honey, ranch, or blue cheese), and when I specifically asked for honey drizzled on top with blue cheese on the side, that request wasn't followed. Even more frustrating, our server never came back to check on us or make sure everything was okay. The jollof rice was honestly the worst part. Instead of that rich, smoky flavor you'd expect, it tasted burnt with a harsh charcoal aftertaste. I've had jollof rice many times before, and this was nowhere close. I ended up sending it back. Because I was hungry, I forced myself to eat the wings, even though they were dry and lacked flavor. Overall, Myste Lounge has a nice look and potential, but the food and service really need improvement. A revamped menu and better attention to guests would make a huge difference.

Service was great considering the place is small, it's hard to miss customers. It's a small hookah lounge in downtown Laurel, so don't expect a ton of space, but it's still a nice little spot to unwind after a long day or make a chill after-dinner stop. Hookah was smooth and the atmosphere was laid back. They do sell food, but we didn't try it this time. My only downside is the drink menu, it's mostly wine and champagne but overall it's a place I could see myself frequenting.
