The choreographed show with patriotic music added such a special touch and is worth the upgrade--it was truly a crowd favorite. The team was professional, kind, and easy to work with from start to finish. Setup and teardown were seamless. We're already planning to use them again next year and beyond. Highly recommend Liberty Fireworks! You can find a short clip of a drone shot of the show here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLtrn6uskNF/?igsh=YnBlYmdzanI4c3l3

These were a little different than the whizz poppers and crotch thumpers and whatever else you buy at the local stand, and more like... gunpowder wrapped in newspaper, with a fuse attached. We set more than a few off over the next week, but as is always the case with fireworks everywhere, we had some leftovers as the trip wrapped up. My dad very firmly told me to leave them in my grandfather's care. But they were pretty good fireworks. So I decided to sneak the homemade street vendor gunpowder-fuse-paper things home, in my carry-on. I got as far as Singapore before an alert customs official confiscated them and low-key interrogated my dad. Fun times, that. -- In any case, Liberty is nothing like the shady third-world stand featured in this story. I ordered the "Liberty Assortment" - a $140 variety pack - from their website and picked her up two hours later. I was expecting a line, but they had about ten employees fielding online orders and I was in and out in about 23 seconds. Excepting a Twister Fountain that separated into two pieces and was unusable - my order was exactly as described and a provided suburb bang for the buck. Though lacking in gunpowder-fuse-paper balls, the assortment did include all sorts of stuff that had no business being set off in the middle of a city street, so that was nice.

I have been to the Toyota Field for 3 different events: Coca-Cola Classic Christmas in Dec 2024,…read morethe Candlelight Drone Art Show in Jan 2026, and most recently the Harry Potter Drone Art Show yesterday in May 2026 :) ! For all 3 special events, me, my sister and a friend have had wonderful, fun and memorable experiences :D ! The parking is very well-organized :) ! The parking attendees are excellent in directing traffic, which is not easy at all! I personally think they do a much better job directing and streamlining traffic, compared to other venues like Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles and the Verizon Amphitheater in Irvine, CA! Even when the traffic and parking can get busy, at least I don't feel like it's an absolute madhouse or zoo, like at most other venues! Security check-in is pretty smooth :) ! Toyota Field is getting stricter though. If you want to bring in a bottle of water, the top where you typically twist open the cap has to be completely sealed and unbroken. This is still somewhat better than the Frost Bank Center, which doesn't even allow you to bring in any sealed water bottles at all. Toyota Field generally does not allow outside beverages or food. Their food for the most part seems to be reasonably priced. But they are the typical confessions items, like hot dogs, soda and beer. Although, if you didn't bring any sealed bottled water with you, they do have bottled water available for purchase, to keep yourselves well-hydrated! There are also refreshing fruit cups and shaved ice for purchase as well :) ! My sister, my friend and I usually eat before we get to Toyota Field. So we haven't really tried their food or drinks. For Coca-Cola Classic Christmas in Dec 2024, there were a lot of great vendors and booths, a lot of great photo opportunities, as well as a great skating rink and slides :) ! If I remember correctly, I think the skating rink and the slides cost extra, in addition to general admission, if you wanted to try either of those. My sister and I loved this :D ! And it just so happened that this was San Antonio's very first Classic Christmas event :D ! The Candlelight Drone Art Show earlier this year in Jan 2026 was really beautiful and mesmerizing :D ! And I have to admit that, out of all the Candlelight events by Fever, this was the first Candlelight Drone Art Show that my friend and I had ever attended :D ! It was just really chilly and cold because it was held around the time of the freeze! It would have probably been more optimal and ideal if this was held during the warmer months, such as later in the spring or fall season :) ! Because my friend and I chose VIP seats on the lawn, we received complimentary Fever cloth lawn spreads, bottled water and snacks :) ! The Harry Potter Drone Art Show yesterday was spectacular and brought back such wonderful and nostalgic memories of the beloved books and movies :) ! Just like a lot of the other events, this one was also very well-organized. My sister and I got lawn seats. We brought our own picnic blankets so we could spread these out to watch the show. The weather was perfect because it wasn't too hot or too cold. And amazingly, towards the end of the night, there was even a slight breeze :) ! We will definitely come back :D ! And in addition to these special events, we certainly would love to catch some awesome sports events here as well :D !

First of all, where in the heck are the restrooms??? This event was held in Hemisfair Park and…read morethere were NO restrooms, porta potties, or otherwise. I asked someone where the restrooms were and they told me across the street at La Villita. I ran across the street, only to find the place deserted and the restrooms locked up. I ran to the nearest hotel and relieved myself there (inside the hotel restroom of course, not outside the hotel). Now that I've relieved myself, I'm back at the event in Hemisfair Park. Here are the things I liked: The entertainment on the main stage. I got to experience the dancing, the culture, and traditions of the Indian people. Lots of different dance performances happening all night on the main stage. They were all very well choreographed and fun to watch. There were plenty of Indian food booths and beer available. All of them took cash and credit cards - you don't have to stand in line to buy tickets and then stand in line again to buy food or drinks. Ya' gotta appreciate that folks. Then there's the dance floor in the middle of the park with an awesome DJ playing a mix of American and Indian tunes. This part was really fun, everyone was dancing and having a great time. Make sure you stay for the fireworks. Here are the things I didn't like: The crowds. It wasn't as bad as NIOSA, but it was still pretty crowded. The lines for the food booths weren't long, but it was difficult trying to determine who was in line, who was standing around, and who was just walking through. But pretty much any festival is this way I guess. And I think I mentioned this before... where in the heck are the restrooms???

Namaste! This San Antonio celebration is such a great way…read moreto take in San Antonio's Indian and Hindu heritage! Diwali is a huge celebration in India, and this evening-time celebration is a fantastic scene. Expect lots of beautiful colors, where local Indians bring out their brightest saris and coolest jewelry. They do some music, and dancing, so kick off them shoes and participate in some Bollywood dance numbers while you take in the lights and music of the subcontinent. They always have food trucks and local Indian community members serving up copious quantities of Briyani, curries and chutneys. Be sure to get some Lhassi, a yogurt drink. They've moved this festival around downtown a bunch since San Antonio started doing it- so check the Current if you're looking for the when and where. My favorite Diwali moment was when they had the celebration at the Hemisfair, and they sold cheap little boats with candles that celebrants launched into the fountains, and they did a laser light show to some Asha Bhosle music! Hare Krishna! Hare Krishna! Hare Krishna! Be sure to check out this annual celebration. It'll take you straight from San Antonio to Mumbai!
