Great place for bargain hunters. About one third the cost of Walmart and they have everything under the sun. Great location too.

This was a HUGE location, and I loved how they organized every rack based on the type of clothes it was plus color-coding them. They even had a massive home goods section along the side of the store, and if you have the time to look through everything, you'll probably spend a lot of time here shopping around. They have a lot of purses and accessories too, so would recommend coming here on a thrifting trip. They also have fitting rooms! read more

I've never seen a thrift store organize their clothes by sizes. Well done. Loved that there was a security guard on premises. Great variety and a very big store. Lots of used bibles, but not enough cookbooks. By looking at how big all of us are in San Antonio, we are obviously reading the wrong books and eating the wrong stuff. read more

I enjoy GW. I am a paper crafter. So, I go in for books to create with. GW never disappoints. I like this location because of the staff. They normally have two ladies my age'ish that are cashiers that are just lovely to talk too. This is one of the cleaner GW's in San Antonio. They also seem to train people here more than the other locations in town. This is my go to GW now that they closed the store near me. Darn you COVID. So, I trek 20 minutes to go to this one now. I am close to the Clearance Center. If you haven't been there...go! But, this location normally fills my needs for supplies. I do want to start buying clothing there. I'm so sick of shopping for clothes in general, but at least at GW, I'd save a lot of money. This location does seem to have more clothing than others in town. So, if thats what you're in search of, go for it. Currently, you do have to wear a mask. (Please cover your nose! It's become a pet peeve!) read more

My daughter and I frequent Goodwill anywhere, all the time. This was our first time in this particular store. The only plus is that they have a lot of great clothes for sale without the high prices of some other Goodwill stores. We were there this past Saturday and they had a power issue. They had lights, the fan was working, but not their computer system, so they were unable to check out any customer. The store manager was extremely rude to her customers in her responses to any questions anyone had. They refused to work with their customers who were in line to pay when requested if they could hold their items. Some of us were going to wait since there was approximately 2-3 hours till they closed. Then after an hour, they said they had to "kick" everyone out because they were closing the store due to the issue. The manager said it came from their corporate office. We put our stuff back and then thought, we could take a picture of this fabulous coat we found and the tag so we could find another one. We went back to the store and the security guy was there. I knocked on the door and he did the hand going across the neck motion to me. I signaled for him to come to the door. He did. I asked if we could take a picture of the tag to the jacket we found, and he said it was up to the manager on duty. She kept walking by and was on the phone. She finally came to us and we asked her if we could go in and take a picture of the tag of the jacket we found. She said no because it was a safety issue. I then asked if she could get the jacket and bring it to the door because we knew exactly where it was at. she shrugged her shoulders and arms and said she just can't. We turned and walked away. In the meantime, when this first started, we noticed one of the employees allowing one of the customers walk out with what looked like a pair of jeans without paying. The next day we drove back to the store (1.5 hours away) to try to get the things we wanted the day before, and we managed to find everything but the coat. When it came time to pay, we got into a line, then when we finally made it to the cashier, she asked how we were paying, and I said card. She said that she was cash only. I looked towards the back to see if there was a sign, and she pointed to a sign she had at the end of her counter where the register number was at. No one would be able to see that sign until it was your turn to pay. Then she said she made an announcement. In which case, they did not make any announcements on the intercom. If she shouted it out, which she did one time when I was in the credit card payment line, no one would have been able to hear her if you were in the store shopping. They are incredibly rude to their customers, with the exception of one lady who was working there on Sunday on the credit card line. She was extremely nice and should be the store manager. read more

Honestly, Goodwill is such a great place to go. Especially when you need to just get rid of stuff that will be useful for someone else. I like their drop-off donation center. You literally just need to drive up to the side of the store and there will be an attendant to help you upload. Then if you need one, they can give you a receipt. You are in and out in less than 10mins depending on the amount of stuff you have and if there is anyone else that is waiting. Super easy and convenient. read more

Great store devoid of the funky thrift- store smell. Clothes and shoes were well-organized by both size and color. They had lots of cool antique furniture as well. A quick search yielded the perfect blazer, skirt and shoes for a costume as well as a few books. We even received E's military discount! We would shop here again! read more

Wanna pop some tags? Only got $20 in your pockets? This is @#$!$ awesome! This place is huge. Big. There's a lot going on here. It's a little infuriating how they sort their clothes. They sort them by color mostly. By gender too. But the prices are quite right. Their computer specials they have here are pretty awesome. Sometimes things go 50% off. You can sometimes score some great deals if you look through the stuff behind glass, where they don't really know what they have back there. Don't expect the sun and the stars when it comes to customer service. Sometimes, I'll come here and buy new plates and dishes when I throw mine out, since I'm tired of doing the dishes, and it's easier to just get new plates. Also, if you just are looking for some plates or cups to break, it's a great place to go. Mozeltov! read more

Way overpriced for stuff that's donated. 2 stars because it was better organized than expected but I can literally go to the dollar store and buy NEW books for a $1. Books here were $2.99. I was hoping for 25 cents etc. Maybe I'm being unreasonable but I thrift shop everywhere and nothing was worth what they were asking. Better off shopping Ross or DD's discount for better selection that is new. Yes I know it helps support salaries, but price gouging is not the way to do it. I would have walked out with a cart full of merchandise if it was just more reasonably priced. Instead it will continue to collect dust. Making no one money. read more

Stopped by for a little thrifting with my friend. It was smaller than other Goodwills we had visited, but was well organized. There was definitely some good stuff, but had to dig REAL deep to find it. Definitely something to check every month, but not every week. read more

I'm not sure what happened since my last visit to this Goodwill but the prices for non-clothing items have increased by about 1000%. No, seriously. I was seeing old picture frames for $9.99 when they should have been about 50¢. There were glasses (for drinking) on the shelves for $19.99! My wife and I were stunned! I used to work for the company few years back, since we werent allowed to shop, now I find myself shopping there often. This location isnt so friendly and theyre way over priced, as a cashier i know the company has set prices for items, bags shoes jackets etc well this location doesnt go by these set prices, they usually double them. as a business owner i carry a slim briefcase/man bag (louis vuitton) and i always get harrassed by one of the team members, as if im trying to steal, lol. its annoying, embarassing and not fair, they wanted me to leave my bag at the registers, no sorry im not leaving my (2k dollar) bag with its contents with a stranger, but yet they dont make any females leave their purse at the registers. overall some good items, way over priced and team members need to get over themselves. read more

After you've been to enough goodwill stores you can tell when you walk in: either it's gonna be slim pickings or it's gonna be a treasure trove. This was a nice treasure trove! There are tons of paintings and sculptures, and weird pottery. Of course, there is also a ton of clothes, shoes, decorations etc. When I was here there were a bunch of things with tags from a place called annie's attic so I'm assuming they got a big load of stuff from another store. What stood out to me about this store is that it had a whole lot of cool looking coats. I don't know if the people of Texas can benefit from these garments, but there were quite a few here that looked warm AND fabulous. Only shopped clothing and shoes. Very large store with a huge stock of clothing but I hated the way the clothes were organized! I don't know if this was just a bad day/week/month but the clothes were mostly organized by category (pants with pants, tops with tops) then color and NOT AT ALL by size despite the size dividers on the racks. A colossal waste of time. Prices were decent. Place was clean. The more upscale clothing was located apart from the rest, which was nice, though I saw plenty of high end stuff on the regular racks. read more

It's not my favorite one: the t-shirt section is dismal as is the furniture section. But if you're looking for dresses, jeans, and books, this is the one you wanna run to first. Plus they have really great manager deals. read more

Not my favorite Goodwill store. Super cramped aisle lay out, and the furniture and other stuff I scoped out was totally overpriced. A particleboard side table with lots if bubbling from water damage was almost thirty dollars! The clothes may have had some gems hidden in them, but I scoped a few pairs of worn out jeans in the "boutique" part of the store that were twenty dollars each - just generic brands, too. I'll pass on this particular thrift store next time. read more

I went here yesterday to pick up an analog tv for my son and an outfit for work the next day. As soon as I got into the store it smelled to high heaven. When I went to pick up the extremely big (for my size) tv no one offered to help me even though a worker was in the same area as me. Speaking of workers everyone there yesterday was rude but in particular there was two girls there who kept cutting me off as I tried to spin my buggy around and then had the nerve to give me nasty looks and walk away. This was after I had the TV in my cart so its not like it was easy navigating that buggy anyway. Then when I went to look for cloths it was impossible because they do not feel the need to put sizes on the cloths where you can easily see them much less have them in size categories. To me this was the worst experience I have ever had at a good will and I will be getting into contact with whomever I need to so that some issue at that store can be addressed like CLEANLINESS! read more
