The daycare has cited bankruptcy as the reason, but since then there has been little to no communication, no updates on the status of my funds, and I have essentially been ignored whenever I follow up. After doing some research, I learned that I am not the only one affected. Other families have also not received their deposits, and there are even teachers who have not been paid. This raises serious concerns about how the situation has been handled. It is incredibly frustrating and disheartening to be treated this way after years of loyalty and reliability. If you are considering enrolling your child here, proceed with extreme caution. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against trusting your money--or your peace of mind--with a business that is clearly struggling and failing to communicate or take responsibility. The kids looked happy and playful, the teachers were welcoming, and the whole atmosphere just felt right. What I'm most thankful for is what happened a few months after our daughter started. Our family was going through a difficult season, and she developed separation anxiety and became very attached to her favorite blanket. As a mom, it was heartbreaking to leave her during that time. Ms. Nargis and Ms. Teressa were incredibly patient and supportive. They genuinely cared about helping her through that season. They kept me updated, worked closely with me, and gave her the extra reassurance she needed. Knowing she was surrounded by people who understood what she was going through and truly wanted to help meant so much to us. That kind of care is hard to find, and it meant the world to our family. Our daughter has come such a long way in overcoming her separation anxiety. Prior to enrolling here, our son attended a language immersion school. The first year, he had an amazing teacher and made great progress socially and academically. The next two years, however, he began to regress due to high teacher turnover, inconsistent instruction, and a 13:1 student-teacher ratio that wasn't conducive to much individualized attention. The 6:1 class size at Tree of Life has allowed my son to get lots of 1:1 time with his teacher. In addition, the mixed-age classroom, which is a staple of Montessori education, has provided my son with the chance to learn from older students. Moreover, the student-led, choice-based instructional approach, which is also a key feature in Montessori classrooms, has provided my son with ample opportunity to explore his interests while developing independence, confidence, fine motor skills, and intellectual curiosity. A mathematician and Montessori certified educator, Marla understands the stages of child development, and the value of high rigor and hands-on kinesthetic learning.
