steph and dan were very helpful. Store had a great selection. Very clean, can't wait to come back and shop with them again.

I've shopped at this Aape store for 5 years already, not that I have a choice since its also the only Aape store in the west coast. Parking is a hassle but that is expected in melrose/fairfax area. The staff working there have been getting better and better as time has passed. My most recent shopping experience, they let me try on the shirt I was going to buy first even though COVID policies already stopped letting customers try on sizes. The shirt designs are also up to date on release, which is better than a few stores I've been to in Asia.

When we went shopping one afternoon at all of the high end apparel shops for young adults, this place was smack dab in the middle of all the shopping. No clue what they were - never have heard of them - we went in to check them out. From their website they are: Aape by A BATHING APE® (Aape for short), first launched in 2012 as a diffusion line of A BATHING APE. Staying close to the main line's aesthetics, the brand revives its signature moon-face logo, weaving it into its collection of practical everyday wear for young trendsetters. Kind of surprised, but this was probably one of my favorite of the stores that we went into in this area. The clothes (t-shirts) had cool graphics, and even though pricy for a tshirt ... I almost bought one. If you are in the area, this is one of the better shops to go into. Also, staff were really friendly while we were there.

Came shopping here with my teenage son. Store was uber busy, but staff was still attentive and assisted my son with locating the items in his size and making a dressing room available. Check out was painless and we did not experience any issues with service.

I took my teenage sister here today for the first time. I originally came to this street to shop actually go to the Supreme store that unfortunately was closed. This store was near Supreme, and my sister was so excited she forgot all about Supreme being closed! Apparently this is a great new brand that I never heard of. (I feel old LOL) The clothes look really cool and what's "in style" at the moment. This women that helped us, which I really wish I remembered her name was really helpful. Any sizes we needed she would go to the back and was really patient with us on picking what we wanted. We spent over $200 today here, and she was nice enough to even give us some free gifts! On the bad note, the other staff was not engaging with us or I see any of the customers at all. They are just to themselves or talking to each other. If it wasn't for that women that helped us, the customer service would suck! Step your game up team! The products you guys sell are pretty pricy, some good customer service and good attitudes could really change sales numbers!

When it comes to fashion, my style is catered towards streetwear. I drove all the way to Fairfax from Vegas and the service was completely unacceptable. I walked in to ask which way a certain store was and one of the workers shouted at me to put my bag down and to go talk to the owner. I asked the owner and the owner pointed in some random direction and I asked if he could clarify it a bit more and he responded with "just search around the street." As much as I love A Bathing Ape, the California location is such a letdown compared to the ones in Japan.

A Bathing Ape's (BAPE) clothing line AAPE positioned itself as a fresh, young concept in the tenuous and ever-changing realm of streetwear. With that in mind, it is only fitting the label's first US flagship would land squarely in the fashionable Fairfax District in Los Angeles. Already represented in fashion centric locations like New York, Japan, and China...this location probably best suits AAPE for Los Angeles. Located between Supreme and Diamond Supply Co., the 2,000+ square foot build exhibits AAPE's youthful, bright, and fun soul. The store's metal accents and reflective surfaces are highlighted by flexible tracking lights. Aluminum-ish accents are found throughout the store to complete the look. AAPE by A Bathing Ape is a more casual line compared to BAPE. You will recognize the Ape Camo or Moonface logos throughout the shop. Although AAPE was initially created for women, the line is now for everyone.

This store now carries Aape - what I like to think of as the younger, more contemporary sister of Bape. It's more affordable, but the designs are still unique and make a statement. I purchased a sweater from here and after quite a few washes, it hands down continues to be the softest and most comfortable article of clothing I own. So bummed I can't rock it more often in this 80 degree LA weather. I recommend checking out the store front too. The mirrored walls and decorative details are dope.

They used to have separate stores for men and women, not sure if that's still a thing but it made it easier to browse depending on your style preferences. I've sold here plenty of times, and the commission is fair for what you're getting. The shopping experience is smooth, and the store offers a great mix of authentic, pre owned designer pieces. If you're into luxury consignment, it's worth a visit.

I have been both a buyer and a consignor with The RealReal for years, which makes this review…read moreparticularly disappointing to write. Most recently, I received an Officine Générale turtleneck that had been described as being in "Very Good" condition. It arrived with significant pilling, appeared dirty, and smelled strongly of cheap women's perfume. It was not remotely consistent with the condition advertised. What happened next was even more troubling. I contacted Customer Service expecting a straightforward acknowledgment and resolution. Instead, I received responses that repeatedly failed to address the actual issue being raised. The conversation devolved into a discussion about whether I would accept compensation based on the purchase price of the item, despite my making it abundantly clear that I had no interest in keeping it at any price. The concern was misrepresentation and quality control. I cannot recall another customer service interaction that felt this tone deaf. As someone who has worked with major organizations, including Apple and Spectrum, on matters involving customer experience and communication, I can honestly say I will use this exchange as an example of exactly what not to do. Customers understand that mistakes happen. What they do not forget is being ignored when they clearly articulate a legitimate concern. My concerns extend beyond this single transaction. As a consignor, I have increasingly questioned whether the standards applied to sellers are consistent or fair. A pair of Tod's loafers yielded a net payout to me of just $9.72. A brand-new pair of Theory shoes, still in the box with tags and obviously never worn, was graded only as "Good" condition and generated a payout of $7.00. The RealReal positions itself as a luxury marketplace. Luxury is not just a logo or a price point. It is attention to detail, thoughtful service, accurate representation, and respect for both buyers and consignors. Unfortunately, this experience failed on every one of those measures. Mistakes happen. Indifference should not.

Does Flirt Clothing live up to its name?…read more If you're expecting an inanimate building to ask your name and number, then no. And if you're expecting the employees to ask you "come here often?" before motioning the barkeep to bring you another of whatever you're having, then still, NO. Or maybe yes. Just not with me. Pffft. The clothes are definitely fun and flirty, though -- if you wear them. Flirt is the typical Melrose kitsch store -- one-offs and private labels abound. Not too many jean choices (mostly charcoal gray), and not that many T-shirts, but the ones they have will have you going gaga, lady. What's a boy like me doing reviewing an exclusively girl's store? Well, I have no intention of wearing that off-the-shoulder blouse or sundress (hmm... with the right belt and handbag, I -- nevermind), but the store is definitely a pleasant place, even if you're just waiting on girls to finish trying things on. You can stand there awkwardly listening to the early 1990s era boombox that's pumping out KISS FM all day (Lil Wayne seems determined to make me his fan), or check yourself out in the mirrors on the wall. "Oh you are quite the looker, aren't you..." Anyway, speaking of incredible, psychologically unhealthy narcissism (or not, whatever), the pink-curtained dressing rooms have matching pink folding chairs -- everything in the store has either touches or tons of pink, which sounds like a Hello Kitty nightmare but is actually kind of cute in a flamingo-pecked-my-eyes-out way. When you try things on, it's with a soft background of Pepto Bismo, but it does make that hotgasmic pair of koolats stand out in palatial, plaid glory. Sweet Heavens, but you're beautiful. Now close your curtain -- that weird tattoo guy with his tattooier girlfriend can see your thong. Hey, the stuff you're trying on is on sale, too! At least a fourth of the store is half off, so you'll have more money left over to blow on things like shoes, handbags, and rent. Service is fast, friendly, and helpful -- they'll make useful suggestions that aren't lame attempts at plus-selling. Flirt Clothing does lose one star because they forgot to remove a security tag on a $240 hobo bag. Now I'm going to have to come back tomorrow -- with receipt -- to have them remove it because SOMEBODY'S too busy (*cough* gainfully employed) to do so herself. I'm going to play like it's mine. It looks cuter on me anyway :-)

This is a nice store that carries clothing and accessories that you probably won't find at most…read moreother clothing shops on Melrose Ave. Most of the stores on this street tend to carry the same type of clothing. I bought a beautiful purple scarf with brown leopard spots on it the other day. The material was like that of a soft sweater. It was only $19.00. I could've gotten a better deal on it if I bargained with the lady there, but I didn't since the price was already low. Also, she was nice and showed me how to tie it since I wasn't sure how to wear it. I always leave scarves untied up until now. She showed me and it was easier than it I thought it would be. I really appreciated that. Also, it was great that she could actually break a $100.00 bill. Some places can't. If you're not familair with the area, you might not know that due to lots of competition, sometimes the shop owner or manager will give you a discount on clothes and other items if you ask them for one. Sometimes they are so eager to sell, they just offer you a good deal. I didn't want to appear cheap though, so I didn't bother asking. It was also nice that she didn't bug me or follow me around like a lot of the shop employees tend to do sometimes. This is a great place and I'll come back here next time I'm in LA.
