Great find! Vintage sequin dress for the wedding reception.

**GREAT WOMEN'S VINTAGE STORE ON 3RD STREET** PARKING ======== Street meter. AMBIANCE ========= Looks like a crazy French grandma's messy attic with vintage clothes and accessories. DRESS ====== TANK SEQUIN DRESS - $300 Probably made in the 80's. Tried it on, looked goooood. Maybe it was overpriced, maybe I should have bargained. Didn't matter, it was a good deal TO ME. I would have paid $$$$ at Neiman or Saks. Customer service was friendly and attentive. Hi Patti! PRO TIP: If you have more time, be leisure. Plenty of good finds. Lucky for me, I found my dress within minutes. RECOMMEND for those seeking for vintage, consignment, and unique pieces.

    Gorgeous stones.

Polkadots & Moonbeams blew me away! I attended their trunk show last night (3/15/2018) and with the intention of only buying a few things ended up with some incredible pieces! I found not only a hand stitched vintage piece (see photo for details), but some of the most unique jewelry I've seen to date. I could not see my wardrobe without these items. The shop is super hip, the staff are absolutely inspiring and delightful. The variety of apparel is so diverse yet complements the entirety of the collection (it's a must see). It is abundantly clear the thought the owner has made in terms of the consumers experience and how each piece offers the buyer a break from what seemed to be a stagnant point in fashion. I want customization, I don't want to walk down the street and see the same $385 sweater from _________. Instead, I found a wide variety of masterpieces that appeal to us missing the 90's grunge era, to a soft creamy suppleness for those hippie chic. Playful, bold, and vibrant, yet I also came across textiles that would be appropriate for work or a wedding. I will without a doubt continue exploring what Polkadots and Moonbeams has to offer. And, look forward to seeing what they have in store for us in the near future.

my newest addition to my vintage collection -thanks girlinas! you rock my world!!!

I'm a detail maniac and when I told Wendy and Matilda that I was hosting a Mad Men party and I had very little time- they came through for me. Not only were these two women completely professional, they hustled in a short amount of time to help me find something that fit my figure, the occasion, and my budget. i've been to hundreds of vintage and antique stores around the states and I give this store 5 stars. The store was clean, organized, and charming. It wasn't overwhelming and there was absolutely no attitude. Each customer was treated equally while I was there and it felt like home. How's that for a recommendation?!? I was also pleasantly surprised to see that there were many sizes too choose from - there was more than just the perfect 22 inch waist dresses one tends to find at vintage stores. Go now, run actually...............good people with great taste. No snobs allowed.

Wendy, the owner is an amazing buyer and, because of her, the selection is huge and the prices are incredibly fair.

Their prices are quite reasonable. Many items are up to 80% off what you would pay for great clothes and bags. They also have some nice art now and again it is all fairly priced. This is not a Salvation Army type store, yes, all items are used, but all are designer or something you may have seen in a store. They do not have a huge vintage section and that is fine. It has just really nice things that I would end up paying a lot more for new. The service is great. The staff is nice and knows what is in the store and where. If you are looking for a nice bag, they have it or some nice clothes. I have bought a few things there and I have never been disappointed.

They took my phone number and said they would call when they found the match. I gave them my number and about a week later, they called and had found the match. I returned and bought it. Yesterday, we went there and bought a few things. Super cute stuff and fun to shop. My daughter found new Stan Smith Adidas. They couldn't sell them because they lost the key to unlock the block thing that the alarm goes off if cut. Again, I gave my number and today, they called and found the key. Went back and got the adidas.

The store has a wide variety…read moreof high end items, mostly on the expensive side, with a huge selection of bags, think entire walls lined with Birkin bags. They used to have separate stores for men and women, not sure if that's still a thing but it made it easier to browse depending on your style preferences. I've sold here plenty of times, and the commission is fair for what you're getting. The shopping experience is smooth, and the store offers a great mix of authentic, pre owned designer pieces. If you're into luxury consignment, it's worth a visit.

I have been both a buyer and a consignor with The RealReal for years, which makes this review…read moreparticularly disappointing to write. Most recently, I received an Officine Générale turtleneck that had been described as being in "Very Good" condition. It arrived with significant pilling, appeared dirty, and smelled strongly of cheap women's perfume. It was not remotely consistent with the condition advertised. What happened next was even more troubling. I contacted Customer Service expecting a straightforward acknowledgment and resolution. Instead, I received responses that repeatedly failed to address the actual issue being raised. The conversation devolved into a discussion about whether I would accept compensation based on the purchase price of the item, despite my making it abundantly clear that I had no interest in keeping it at any price. The concern was misrepresentation and quality control. I cannot recall another customer service interaction that felt this tone deaf. As someone who has worked with major organizations, including Apple and Spectrum, on matters involving customer experience and communication, I can honestly say I will use this exchange as an example of exactly what not to do. Customers understand that mistakes happen. What they do not forget is being ignored when they clearly articulate a legitimate concern. My concerns extend beyond this single transaction. As a consignor, I have increasingly questioned whether the standards applied to sellers are consistent or fair. A pair of Tod's loafers yielded a net payout to me of just $9.72. A brand-new pair of Theory shoes, still in the box with tags and obviously never worn, was graded only as "Good" condition and generated a payout of $7.00. The RealReal positions itself as a luxury marketplace. Luxury is not just a logo or a price point. It is attention to detail, thoughtful service, accurate representation, and respect for both buyers and consignors. Unfortunately, this experience failed on every one of those measures. Mistakes happen. Indifference should not.

Does Flirt Clothing live up to its name?…read more If you're expecting an inanimate building to ask your name and number, then no. And if you're expecting the employees to ask you "come here often?" before motioning the barkeep to bring you another of whatever you're having, then still, NO. Or maybe yes. Just not with me. Pffft. The clothes are definitely fun and flirty, though -- if you wear them. Flirt is the typical Melrose kitsch store -- one-offs and private labels abound. Not too many jean choices (mostly charcoal gray), and not that many T-shirts, but the ones they have will have you going gaga, lady. What's a boy like me doing reviewing an exclusively girl's store? Well, I have no intention of wearing that off-the-shoulder blouse or sundress (hmm... with the right belt and handbag, I -- nevermind), but the store is definitely a pleasant place, even if you're just waiting on girls to finish trying things on. You can stand there awkwardly listening to the early 1990s era boombox that's pumping out KISS FM all day (Lil Wayne seems determined to make me his fan), or check yourself out in the mirrors on the wall. "Oh you are quite the looker, aren't you..." Anyway, speaking of incredible, psychologically unhealthy narcissism (or not, whatever), the pink-curtained dressing rooms have matching pink folding chairs -- everything in the store has either touches or tons of pink, which sounds like a Hello Kitty nightmare but is actually kind of cute in a flamingo-pecked-my-eyes-out way. When you try things on, it's with a soft background of Pepto Bismo, but it does make that hotgasmic pair of koolats stand out in palatial, plaid glory. Sweet Heavens, but you're beautiful. Now close your curtain -- that weird tattoo guy with his tattooier girlfriend can see your thong. Hey, the stuff you're trying on is on sale, too! At least a fourth of the store is half off, so you'll have more money left over to blow on things like shoes, handbags, and rent. Service is fast, friendly, and helpful -- they'll make useful suggestions that aren't lame attempts at plus-selling. Flirt Clothing does lose one star because they forgot to remove a security tag on a $240 hobo bag. Now I'm going to have to come back tomorrow -- with receipt -- to have them remove it because SOMEBODY'S too busy (*cough* gainfully employed) to do so herself. I'm going to play like it's mine. It looks cuter on me anyway :-)

This is a nice store that carries clothing and accessories that you probably won't find at most…read moreother clothing shops on Melrose Ave. Most of the stores on this street tend to carry the same type of clothing. I bought a beautiful purple scarf with brown leopard spots on it the other day. The material was like that of a soft sweater. It was only $19.00. I could've gotten a better deal on it if I bargained with the lady there, but I didn't since the price was already low. Also, she was nice and showed me how to tie it since I wasn't sure how to wear it. I always leave scarves untied up until now. She showed me and it was easier than it I thought it would be. I really appreciated that. Also, it was great that she could actually break a $100.00 bill. Some places can't. If you're not familair with the area, you might not know that due to lots of competition, sometimes the shop owner or manager will give you a discount on clothes and other items if you ask them for one. Sometimes they are so eager to sell, they just offer you a good deal. I didn't want to appear cheap though, so I didn't bother asking. It was also nice that she didn't bug me or follow me around like a lot of the shop employees tend to do sometimes. This is a great place and I'll come back here next time I'm in LA.
