I met Dr. Santos through a friend of mines. My experience at his office was very good, I haven't been to the dentist for a couple of years so i was a bit nervous coming to the dentist. He sent me over to the oral surgeon, the mass was removed and benign. When I returned to Dr. Santos, he was left with a bit of a mess to work with (and on a budget, as I was paying out of pocket as a SAHM) my gum line had receded greatly and was mostly scar tissue and I desperately wanted to have that "pretty smile everyone else has". We agreed on a process and everything was set up right in his office with 3 different specialist! Dr. Santos being a one-stop shop is so convenient, especially at this point in the process with a newborn at home. Dr. Santos' staff is unmatched! They are so sweet, from greeting Jolie at the front desk (she works hard on the schedule and timing of appointments), and the hygienists, to working with all of the staff in the back (and I mean all of them). There is not a single person in this office I don't trust to do the best work. By this point, I felt more like I was visiting family. I received the best care in such a fragile state. However, I found this dentist highly non-transparent, very pushy to do certain procedures at high cost for his own benefit (which was not needed as I figured out through another dentist later on), and very irrespecutful to other cultures. Bushra is the dental hygienist who I always go see although they are all excellent. She is so kind, gentle and friendly and always does what she can to give me options. Dr. Santos was recommended by a friend and I'm very happy I listened to that recommendation. His staff is extremely professional from the office team, the dental hygienist, to Dr. Santos. Over the years I've had quite a bit of dental work done and with the years, there's a need to do maintenance and updates and Dr. Santos been great researching the previous work that had been done with my previous dentist. The first appt with him, he went over the previous work that had been done and a game plan of what I needed to take care of, no pressure to get anything done, but to maintain a healthy smile. If you are like I was and you are looking for a dentist, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Santos and his team! I went into his office 5 months ago and I hadn't been to a dentist in close to 20 years. Dr. Santos and his team did not judge or condemn me for the neglect that had taken place in my dental hygiene. They were very supportive and instead created a solution to help me correct the many issues I had in my mouth. The receptionists are very helpful in scheduling around my work and if I need to cancel or reschedule for any reason, they are very understanding. Every person in his office has helped me work through my fear of the dentist that I have had since I was a child. They are so caring and sensitive to my needs and fears. On February 9, 2017, I went in to have a broken tooth removed. Dr. Santos and his team were amazing!! They walked me through EVERY step and put my nerves at ease. The day after my procedure, his staff followed up with me to make sure I was feeling alright and that I wasn't having any issues. The very next week I had a check up to make sure that everything was healing properly and again the very next week he did the same thing! The whole process was awesome, and to be able to say that about getting my tooth pulled is HUGE! I used to panic at the thought of going to the dentist and now I look forward to going. I agree Dr Santos is NOT amazing at all. I can see if you had a bad tooth and he made room for you and relieved your pain you may feel that way. After all he did a $1800 root canal on the same day as a dentist that pays better than a tooth cleaning or cavity fill. If you asked me to fit you in for some work that pays like that I'm fitting you in also. We were looking for a family dentist so I visited 1800dentist.com and found Aaron Santos in Los Gatos. (local) We called and booked appointments for our entire family 2 boys 8 years old, my wife and I. My wife and the boys arrived first when I arrived I found it odd that this guy was Anthony Santos DDS and not Aaron Santos as shown on 1800dentist. However I concluded that his father was the one on 1800dentist and he was taking over the practice, so i assumed he was fully capable, wow how wrong I was. With in the first 6 months we all had major dental work by Dr Santos based on his recommendation. He would tell us we have great insurance and we should take advantage of this while we can. Keep in mind we all came from good dental care back rounds with long history's, having check ups and cleaning every 6mo. Dr Santos is quit pushy I could certainly see where a woman would feel like he is a bully. He had my son in tears and my wife was pissed...lucky me!!! He is not very personable and the conversation that he does carry is between him and his assistant about the remodeling of his home and how his wife wants this and that and how expensive it is but how he has to get it. Then came the remodel of the office. I felt as if I was caught up in a mans dream of material things as he yanked drilled and filled our teeth to fund his and his wife's desire to live the vanity life style. Maybe he feels a need to impress me? Mean while he never considered the people just their money.. Going to the dentist is never at the top 50 of things I want to do. I have had some really terrible experiences, resulting in a seven year fearful hiatus of the dentist. Dr. Santos was recommended to me by a friend who not only goes there, but has been friends with him for quite some time. There was hope. The entire staff here is fantastic. They are all not only awesome at their jobs, they are comforting on a level that dentist-fearing people like myself really NEED. There is no "you're a bad flosser" shaming, and they are fantastic about working with you and your timeline/tolerance (I needed a lot of work, and needed to spread it out over time) for what you need done. The office is lovely! Bonus. I can't wait until I am done getting everything fixed so I only have to see them twice a year, but at least until then I am 100% comfortable with this office and everyone in it. read more

I like that he's the only dentist here so I know I'll always see him and not a random new dentist each time like when you go to some other bigger dental offices. I also like that he's originally from the San Jose area and also lives in Los Gatos. Becky was a great hygienist! Gentle and was fast without feeling rushed. My teeth felt really clean after and she did all the things I am used to when getting a cleaning, including using the small metal tools to scrape off plaque and a polish at the end. She even gave me a great tongue scraper that helps a lot with fresh breath. She seemed really knowledgeable and was friendly. I felt comfortable at Santos Dentistry. My co-worker suggested him when I came into work one morning with a terrible tooth ache, I called him at 9am, he got me in for a consult at 9:30 (even though he was booked full with patients that day) and even had me come back for a root canal at 2:30 that same day. Not only was Dr. Santos very gentle, he also was very sensitive to the fact that i have a phobia of dentists. Later, when it was time for me to have an implant finished, Dr. Santos went above and beyond helping me get records from my old Oral Surgeon. Dr. Santos is by far the best dentist I've ever had. Three years ago, I was studying for the BAR exam when a filling popped out a week before the test. Safe to say I was freaking out and in pain, without a regular dentist to call. A friend referred me to Dr. Santos, and from my first contact with his staff I knew I had found my new dentist. His staff put me at ease and fit me in immediately. Dr. Santos was able to repair the filling right away and get me back to studying!
