I am a 96 year- old woman but a mere one- year patient of yours at your Los Gatos Dental Center. I was born in Ohio lived there in Pennsylvania for many years ,then became a Californian 32 years ago. In all those years, having moved 9times .i recall being a p patient of about 11 different dentists . I think I liked on of them . Going to see the dentist has always been stressful for me. What will be discovered this time? How can be fixed? Will hurt?how long will I have to keep my mouth wide open? And how much will it cost? But then a year ago la late husband 's pension plan ,of which I am grateful participant ,changed its health care insurance provider which included ' for the first time in my life dental insurance ! So I found myself searching for another new dentist close by and found myself reclining in a chair overlooking a huge view of gorgeous nature with sunlight filtering through large , overhanging tree leaves , which immediately put me at ease. This was my husband's first time visiting this office, (implant services) and he initially expected a great experience because it is located in Los Gatos and this doctor is supposedly a professor at UCSF.....Unfortunately, that was extremely misleading. Dr. Monheim placed a dental implant for my husband about a year ago, and it took us this long to uncover how poorly it was done. The implant process itself was quick, but my husband required 6-8 months of healing before our family dentist could place the crown, which is expected.... Our family dentist had significant trouble trying to get the necessary X-rays and imaging from this office. She kept documentation of every call and email she sent, and despite her efforts, the office was unresponsive for a very long time. She made it her personal mission and did not let her staff handle it... She even tried connecting with the doctor personally to discuss the procedure and he did not return one call. She would never recommend this office for implants. She had originally recommended a different implant specialist in Sunnyvale, and at this point we regret not following her advice. We went our own route and choice this doctor. Out family dentist finally received the imaging..... very difficult process.....she showed us how crooked the implant was placed. Beyond shocking how horrible the job was.....Because of that crooked placement, my husband has had ongoing issues. Although she was eventually able to place the crown, he continues to have complications directly related to the implant being improperly positioned by Dr. Monheim. When my husband originally had the implant done, the staff also pressured us strongly to have the crown placed at their office, but we preferred to stay with our long-term family dentist. I am extremely glad we did, because she was honest with us about the problems she discovered. We have now escalated this to our insurance carrier, as they paid a portion of the procedure, and we also paid $1,500 out of pocket. Given the poor quality of work and the ongoing issues my husband is experiencing, we believe we should be reimbursed. I did speak with the office manager, who tried to defend the dentist by saying he has done many implants. I understand that, and I am sure many were successful, but in my husband's case, the implant was placed very poorly and has caused significant, ongoing problems. And because of the crookedness, our family dentist had a very hard time finding the right material to install the crown. That was the initial reason why she called him many times so she could discuss with him the difficulties she was having but again, he did not reply. I would never recommend this office for implant work based on the crooked implant alone -- not to mention the extremely unprofessional delays in releasing X-rays and imaging to our family dentist. I will not post images here, although I could. Just be aware: this has been an awful experience from start to finish, and we are still dealing with the consequences. read more

Completely unethical and borderline abusive in their practice where it seems they are in the business of taking advantage of their elderly patients. Every single interaction about billing - we have been given the run around. They treat patients for issues they do not have or cannot possibly maintain. Hoping the better business bureau and the Dental Board investigate their practice further. To be honest I never met a doctor dentist like Dr. Moniem before, he has a happy face, likes joking and laughing. He takes his assistance two sweet girls, very respectful to lunch every day and during a lunch he teaches them all the knowledge they can get to be the best He's a very polite and professional doctor and he has no chip on his shoulder! I was in Turkey two months ago and I fixed one of my teeth there , they put a crown to my tooth. Just a few days ago the crown fall down when I was flossing then I called Dr Moneim Adam's office to book an appointment and they gave me next day appointment on saturday then I went there next day and Dr Moneim fixed my tooth for FREE of charge, he put the crown back with solid glue cement and made my day happy. I've been a patient of Dr Moneim since 2015 at his other office. I take my reviews seriously so I needed to wait for my results on this. Now I can confidentially recommend Dr Moneim to my good family and friends. I originally went to him for invisaline 7 yrs ago and continued to see him for minor dental work. I didn't even have steady dental insurance with my jobs changing and all, yet he Totally worked with my budget, never once overcharged me or did unnecessary dental work on me. He even allowed me to send xrays from a Prior dental office to him so I wouldn't have to pay more for his office to do it (the other dental office was going to over charge me, so I saut a 2nd opinion). Fast forward 14 months, I was super happy with my results afterwards but then broke my last retainer Over 3 years later:( . This made my teeth shift, i was nervous to go back, i felt like I ruined his work. Well, I went back this year to his new office where he did the 3D imaging on me at no cost! Then offered to work with my budget to get new aligners to fix the issue! He is genuinely a caring doctor who makes me feel safe and I get that "Caring Dad" vibe from him, where he just wants what is best for you even when you screw up lol. I will try to write this as honestly as possible. From a service standpoint, Dr. Moneim was kind and his staff was friendly. From a payment perspective, I paid all my charges at service and then they continued to bill my insurance $200 per month for the next two years in which they did not see me once (~$4800 they received from insurance). And then, just this past month after not seeing me for 2+ years, they billed my insurance for $4599. I paid close to $2000 in person for Invisalign and some work, and then insurance billed $4800 and now $4600...I don't get it! read more

Dr. Moneim is the 'Best of the Best'! He is professional, proficient and very compassionate. It is obvious he takes great pride in his work. I had been looking for a new dentist since mine retired and not having much luck. Then I got lucky and our paths crossed and he has been taking amazing care of my dental needs since. Doctor Moneim has been our family dentist for over 10 years. He is very honest, competent and does not exaggerate in any diagnosis. He is very knowledgable and expert in his field. He carefully listens and offers different treatment options. He cares a lot about his patients and personally calls the next day to check on them after any surgical procedure. Dr. Moneim Adam is a great dentist. I have a terrible fear of the dentist. After an insurance change I had to seek out a new dentist and I came across Dr. Moneim Adam DDS. Scheduling an appointment was a easy and flexible, as the assistant was nice and helpful in getting things squared away. On the day of my appointment, I was nervous but the hygienist who cleaned my teeth took great care of me. She numbed me up for my cleaning and with the exception of one area of sensitivity, the procedure was painless. I then met with Dr. Adam who took his time to carefully examine my teeth and the x-rays and sadly I had 3 cavities of various sizes. Dr. Adam took a great conservative approach to my cavities and fillings and when I ended up requiring a root canal, his staff squeezed me in for a checkup and booked me in for a next week appointment. Dr. Adam is an experienced oral surgeon, he did what needs to be done to fix my teeth. I know going to the dentist is usually not a pleasant experience, however Dr. Adam has great manner, has a good sense of humor, he is a world traveler and in his office I can see many valuable and expensive collection of items from all over the world. Please do not go if you are considering Invisalign. Its a scam !!. I saw the groupon deal which was 2k, and went to their office for a consult. They took a panoramic x-ray and charged me $300 to lock me in. I wasn't even told that I will be charged for it but was told that will be added towards my treatment. I wasn't even sure if I wanted to get it done but now I had to since they would not refund me the $300 which will also not be covered by insurance. So basically I was trapped. He is not an orthodontist. Wanted to file my teeth for space and luckily I was saved. So no matter what you paid for the groupon deal , you will be told your case is complicated and will need extra aligners. They said the groupon deal is only for 20 aligners and I need way more than that. I also know another person who was told the same thing. So it is just a way for them to get you inside their office and get trapped. You will be charged $5000 which is same as going to any other dentist. So please don't fall for it, be careful. Go to a specialist. I wish I knew before. read more

I went to Dr. Adam Moneim for Invisalign. His office had a great deal for it on Groupon. I schedule and appointment with him on my free consultation. He was very kind and informative. I did my research and I even compared rates from other dentist offices. As of right now, I can say his rates is by far the lowest. I can honestly say I trust Dr. Moneim. On all of my appointments, he always came up with a plan and consult it with me. It's a relief to know I can walk into my appointment with someone who is as knowledgeable as himself. Dr. Moneim's attention to detail is truly remarkable. I visited him after a cycling accident in 2007 to treat a pair of chipped teeth. During the course of the treatment he noticed that the laceration on my lip wasn't healing properly. He went above and beyond the call of duty and did an x-ray of my lip and found a piece of road debris that the ER doctor must have missed! Based on his x-ray the cosmetic surgeon was able to remove the piece of debris. It's easy to sense his enthusiasm and the pride that he takes in his work. Him and his team were very helpful and patient through the whole process with all my questions, etc., and the overall experience was great. Went through the whole Invisalign process and my teeth look amazing! This dentist screwed up my teeth. He put me in invisalines and didn't know what he was doing. Now my teeth are very misaligned. I kept explaining to him that they were not moving correctly, but he kept arguing with me that they were fine. My bite no longer lines up and my upper set of teeth are shifted over to the right and hang over my bottom teeth. I now have spaces all over where I didn't before. He screwed up other family members teeth prior to this so I should have known better. Do yourself a favor and go to someone who knows invisalines before you get messed up teeth like I did. He has also cut my gums by mistake while doing another procedure. read more

Dr. Moneim has helped me with my invisalign treatment. Before I went to Dr. Moneim I had another dentist helping me with getting the treatment started. I went to her several times but she went through countless unnecessary and costly steps thus nothing happened. On a trip to visit my family in California I booked an appointment with Dr. Moneim. I live in Sweden and was worried that no dentist would help me because it is so far away and I wouldn't be able to come over again until the treatment was over. However, I did not have to worry, Dr. Moneim is a person who sees solutions not problems. After two hours we had everything set up, I came back a couple days later to see in 3D what my results would look like once the treatment is over. A couple weeks later I got my trays in the mail in Sweden. Dr. Moneim has made everything so easy. He is great at his profession and as others have reviewed as well he does everything with much enthusiasm. I would recommend Dr. Moneim to everyone any day of the week. I can also recommend using him for treatments as invisalign at a distance. It has gone very smoothly. For others who live in europe or in countries were braces and orthodontic treatments are very expensive I would recommend you call Dr. Moneim and see if you can find a solution. In Sweden the cost of the invisalign treatment at todays exchangerate 6,58 SEK to 1 USD would be USD 11400. Also the swedish dentist said it would take 1 year to complete it. The treatment in the USA is more than half the cost at regular cost and Dr. Moneim shortened the treatment time to 20 weeks. I can not see why it would have to take longer because when i change my trays I do not have sensitivity in my teeth or any pain. That comes to show that Dr. Moneim is very genuine and wants the best for his patients. So if you are looking for a good dentist I'm sure this is your guy. If he can get 5 stars from a patient who is being treated in Sweden from California I'm sure you understand how good he is. read more

The cleaning and x-rays were done very smoothly and with as little pain/discomfort as I have experienced at a dentist... at least as far back as I can remember. The gum "probing" was even quite tolerable, even though I hate needles and anything resembling them, and am nervous even if I can't feel it. All in all it was a very smooth visit. It was also nice that the dental assistant/hygienist would explain what was going on, why, etc., and answer any "why' and "how" questions that I had and like to ask. read more

He takes the time to carefully listen to your concerns, evaluate your situation and provide you with clear and concise options. He is always happy to answer questions (which I always have a lot of) and shares his wealth of knowledge in laymans terms that his patients can understand. I am most impressed by his chairside manner - he puts you at ease and constantly checks in to make sure that you are comfortable and not experiencing pain or discomfort during your procedures. I moved out of the area for a number of years - and would drive 4+ hours EACH WAY way for my dental appointments - because it was so important to me to have a dentist that I could trust. I had 9 crowns on my lower front teeth over 10 years ago by Dr Moneim when he was working in a Sunnyvale office. The price was real good and I am very please with the work. They still look real good. He made me very comfortable with the work as I'm very nervous and squeeze the chair arms till I can feel the metal. I didn't do that as the doctor made me very comfortable with the injection and I didn't feel hardly anything. It was a great experience and I have recomended other patients that were quite satisfied with his work and his caring attitude.
