I recently started SureSmile treatment here, and the whole process has been so much easier and smoother than I expected. I first went in for a consult and scans that were sent off to SureSmile, and during that appointment they really took the time to listen to what I specifically wanted to improve. Then I went back in to review the 3D model and treatment plan, which was actually really cool to see. That appointment felt very conversational and relaxed, and they were happy to answer all of my questions and concerns without making me feel rushed or pressured! About two weeks later all of my trays came in, and honestly I started noticing improvements after just a few trays. The pain/discomfort has been very minimal, and my teeth are already looking so much better. I'm really happy with the results so far and definitely recommend this office to anyone considering SureSmile or looking for a dentist who genuinely cares about their patients!

My first appointment with Des Peres Smiles was phenomenal. I have driven by this office coming home from work and didn't think much of it, but it's actually a great office and very close to my house. The staff were great -- from the receptionist Shannon to the tech Allison and finally, the dentist Dr. Nicole Niewdach. She was knowledgeable and kind, and she along with Allison were very gentle while operating on me. I felt like I was in great hands. The office was very clean as well. This office performed root canals and crowns, gladly accepting over $30,000 out of pocket. Only later did I learn that medical insurance would have covered these costs. This office does not bill medical insurance--but they also failed to disclose that fact or mention that my injuries might qualify for medical coverage. Had I known, I would have sought treatment elsewhere. I find this lack of transparency unethical, and it's hard to believe they weren't aware of it. To make matters worse, just five years later, several of the root canals are failing due to missed channels, causing infection and risking tooth loss. My advice: Save yourself the cost and heartache. See a specialist. And if your dental problems are injury-related, contact your medical insurance first--and avoid this office.

I went back multiple times for adjustments, but my bite was never right and the pain never stopped. What's worse, I was refused routine cleanings for TWO YEARS because the dentist insisted on fixing this one tooth--something that never actually got resolved. I even asked about removing the tooth and was repeatedly dismissed. Finally, I sought a second opinion. Turns out the tooth was fractured and infected all along and should have been pulled from the beginning. Now I'm dealing with an abscess and a much bigger problem than I started with. This was a long, frustrating, and painful experience that could have been avoided. Please do yourself a favor--get a second opinion before committing to major work here

When I arrived, I sat for just a few minutes and was greeted by Ari, who was fabulous. She put me at ease right away, because I wasn't sure if I was in the right place for my problem. She assured me I had made the correct call. Ari has a wonderful personality and made me feel comfortable right away. While we were waiting for Dr. Grayem, Sarah popped in to say hello. Sarah took care of me many times in the past year and is a delight. I was very happy to see her. Ari and Sarah were the perfect pair for me to see on Monday. Dr. Grayem came in and was very concerned and tried to help me. When the visit was over Sarah walked me out to the check out and just made me feel so special. What a wonderful experience, when I wasn't feeling well at all! I have never liked going to the dentist, because I have had several terrible experiences. He provides all of the information needed for you and helps you to make a decision on what treatment plan is best including making sure to tell you if it's appropriate to wait and see at next visit. There are iPads in the waiting area for the kids to play on and the dental chairs all have TVs on the ceiling to help keep patients distracted during the cleanings/procedures! His staff are incredibly kind, patient, and caring and honestly was the best/easiest X-ray experience I've ever had! The office is very nice, clean, and up to date with extremely kid friendly decor/color scheme. I highly recommend this office!

They were absolutely wonderful with my 4yo and 2yo (first time for the latter). The staff were welcoming and made my kiddos feel at ease. Both walked out with smiles on their faces. Dr. Salthouse took the time to talk with us and gave us wonderful tips for our kids. We even learned some new things for our own hygiene. I recommend them over other nearby locations.
