He got my engine "jumped" and afterward said that I really should replace it ASAP. I took his advice. I drove to a parts retailer and the woman tested my battery, told me that it was defective. Had an issue with the turbo on our vehicle. Originally, the OBD code indicated a sensor only…read moreproblem, but quickly became a problem with the entire wastegate actuator assembly. Neighbors in the past had recommended Marks Automotive. As it turns out, he doesn't advertise and relies entirely on referrals. After looking at reviews on Yelp and Next Door, I decided to give him a call. Mark understood the OBD code issues immediately over the phone and asked me to bring the vehicle over the next morning. About an hour after leaving the vehicle with him, he called and confirmed the problem. He gave me a VERY FAIR price to make the repairs (almost $400 less than the dealership), but said that a couple of the dealerships he called did not have the part in stock and would take 4 days to get. He also said that if I wanted to make more calls and find the part before then, he'd install it and only charge me for the labor. I found ONE dealership within 50 miles that had the part, and fortunately, it was only about 20 miles away. I got the part and he installed it the same day. The wastegate actuator assembly cost me $350 and Mark charged me $110 for labor. He tested the vehicle out and told me to bring it back if there were any issues. I can honestly say that I've found my new mechanic for the maintenance issues I can't do myself. Highly Recommend!!!

Knowing this Lance the manager arranged for my car to be delivered to my house when it was finished as I had no ride there to get it (fantastic customer service). Another time I ordered high end wipers, one of the clips went missing and so the wiper wasn't able to be attached. They (Bayside) ordered another new set on their dime just to get the piece needed to attach to my car. This past week I had to have my AC fixed and then one of my exhaust pipes wasn't opening properly. Not only did they fit me in first thing in the am but they were willing to work with my husband to troubleshoot the issue. During this they found a hole in one of my lines, repaired it free of charge. These guys are the ONLY shop I will bring my car to here in Spring Hill. They are honest, reliable, and treat me and my family with respect. This is not a take 5 shop, they are going to take the time to try and figure out what issue your car has and will call with price options just so you know you're not getting "taken for." I had some work I needed done on my Porsche Cayenne so I decided to use yelp to help me find one…read more I went to couple shops to speak to the mechanics and get some pricing and they were busy and I didn't think they were that trustworthy so I put it on yelp and Reuben was the first to reply so I decided to go with him. I know alot about my car and parts and labor etc I just cannot do the work myself. My car hit 70k and I decided to keep the car longer due to current car market conditions so I decided do some maintenance on it. O2 sensor, Leak Detection pump, fuel vent line, MAP Sensor, spark plugs, coils. He did it all. I had about 4 codes that were constantly popping up due to these issues and Reuben was able to help me fix everything on the car. He is very knowledgeable (especially about european cars) and honest. He came to my home so I could actually watch him replace the parts which was a bonus for me. He is very professional and respectful. You never know what these guys do when you take it to the shop. He has previously worked for BMW dealership and has a wealth of experience. I had an issue where I bought the part and he installed it but then the codes came back. He came to my house to re-diagnose it as bad parts. He took the part back out, I had to send the parts back and get a replacement part and he came back out again to replace the replacement part. He did not ask me for any additional money. I paid him some at least gas money out of kindness in return. He certainly could have ask for more. You can ask him any questions and he will answer. He is old school honest man without the old school mentality. He can talk and work at the same time unlike some other mechanics. He is a very good mechanic. Very straight forward and no beating around the bush. Hard to find someone like this. I won't use anybody else. If you're having car problems, give him a call.
