OK, I was only there once. But…read more.. I picked up an older car which I was going to be driving cross country and took it here for evaluation which needed to be done essentially immediately. *My* experience: I had gone to another tire place which recommended replacing only 2 of the 4 tires (which had chunks of rubber de-laminating). Consumer Car Care (CCC) showed me where all 4 of the 10+ year old tires were in bad shape, and sold me 4 highly rated (per Consumer Reports) Kumho tires at the same price the other outfit wanted for 2 Michelins. I really don't need the more expensive brand name. This saved me not just serious $$, but also saved me from a probable blow out. Second, they could have recommended a lot more work than they did. They only changed out the 10+ year coolant and did an oil change. For a car this age which was not religiously maintained, recommending changing out the brake fluid, transmission fluid, belts, and hoses would not have been unreasonable. They checked all of the above and rather than taking a quick profit from someone they were never going to see again, they were honest. 5 months later, no problems. Based on my experience I would highly recommend CCC, trusting both their recommendations and quality of work.

When I called the shop and spoke to Adam he said he would take care of it. Mind you they charged my $299 last year to do an oil pan seal. I call Adam and he wants to charge me for a new oil pan, of which they damaged when they did the oil change. I told him about the damage to my driveway and he never offered to do anything about it. The best he could do was charge me $139 for an oil pan. He claims it wasn't their fault. He then tries to tell my that I need all this other work done in order for him to do an alignment on my truck. The price on that work was $3300.00. Mind you my truck only has 64,000 miles on it. I paid for the oil pan and told him I'll have to think about it. I then take my truck to a highly respected shop for another opinion. Guess what, they could do the work for $540. This guy is a rip off. Do not trust him for any of your work. Consumer beware!!!!!

The car was returned to us and stalled out less than a mile from the shop. After working on it and test driving it. The shop determined it was the new fuel injector they were pushing the caused gunk to clog the engine. Now, on 7/27, the brand new wiper blades flew off the car while driving around town. I hate to have to say this but not at all what was expected after spending over $1500 there. We've used the shop in the past and have always been happy with them. This is not the standard of service expected from the Mavis brand.

Crooks!! Stay away!!…read more Went in to have a NEW tire patched "professionally" and the work appeared to be performed incorrectly. Had to return 1 hour later when the tire went flat. The recommended remedy was to plug the tire instead. Now, there's damage to my new tire from having to Pierce the steel belt. I asked for a refund of the price difference and was told "No, your good. You asked for a patch and are leaving with a patch and plug". I replied, that I could have plugged it myself at home but I did not want to pierce a new tire, I wanted it done with a patch from the inside. He repeated, "well, your good".

I took my vehicle into Tim's Tire & Auto, he ordered new Crager wheels. This shop did not tell me…read morethey were slotted for the wheel nuts, he used the wrong heavy duty socket to install them and scratched and damaged in the area of the wheel nut. I asked him why he used such heavy socket and he had no excuse except that he only impact sockets (which were too thick). Then he told me the wheels had to be torqued at 100 lbs which I knew was incorrect and called Crager customer service and they advised not to torque over 80 ft lbs. After damaging both wheels which were very expensive he offered me $150 which with two damaged from wheels worth $600 was offensive. I will never do business with this company again. Please beware and be careful.
