I pointed this out and the owner who assured me he would "make it right." After several phone calls and a couple of weeks now there is nothing he can do since new foot controls are no longer available (not true, Amazon sells them). My machine works with the old, cord-chewed foot control they gave me but does not run as well as it did with my original one. Will never take a sewing machine here again.
