Love this place. Never had a problem with making an appointment. Staff is nice, friendly, knowledgeable. In fact, thanks to this clinics (both locations in Chicago, btw) I finally got rid of a fear of certain doctors. These guys do care about patients - never waited longer than 15 minutes for the appointment regardless the insurance that you have or the reason for visit. I'd give 10 out of 10, if I could. Instead of consolidating 3 visits into 1, had a virtual visit to let me know that the nature of my visit would need to be done in person... a receptionist or anybody could have made a phone call and let me know that I needed an in person visit instead of wasting my time. Then waited over 40 minutes from my appointment time for a provider to see me only to tell me that she's going to need to get a different provider to help me because she doesn't know anything about my issues, but he might... they knew what I was coming in for, why would you send the person who doesn't know about it? Finally, was seen by somebody who could answer my questions and address my concerns. The lab tech who drew my blood was absolutely wonderful, the only positive in this experience. After my 3rd visit I was finally able to have my prescription renewed only to go to the pharmacy to find out that they didn't have the proper dosage and my provider would need to update the prescription. They eventually updated it... only to have a 3 month supply prescribed, but once opened it expired in 28 days. That's not a 3 month supply. I then emailed to ask about the prescription only to get an email and a call back ignoring my questions, asking to set up an annual exam(which I was under the impression we just did). Was told somebody would get back to me and that I couldn't speak to a provider over the phone. Another email. Not responded to. Another phone call, same run around. I don't know if anybody is capable of answering questions regarding prescriptions without an appointment. Not really sure how this place functions as a business, let alone a place for folks to seek health and wellness... the only thing they've provided is poor service, poor communication and additional stress and anxiety. Luckily I have an unaffiliated therapist and psychologist. If your insurance covers anywhere else, likely a better option. It's been over 3 weeks. Finally received a voicemail from the Dr. He said he'd call back today at 1030, hasn't called, hasn't answered my calls, or responded to my voicemail. The receptionist again let me know that there's nobody available to answer my questions and that he'd message the doctor to hopefully reach out, but can't give me an idea of when. There's nobody capable of answering my questions available.... not an idea of when... it's been over 3 weeks and we still can't find somebody to answer my medical/prescription related questions?? FRAUD!!! DO NOT COME TO AAYU CLINICS!!! I had a rapid covid test done at a testing facility. I had no idea it was run by Aayu Clinics, since there was nothing on the branding to indicate as such. Regardless, months later, I received an email stating that my insurance company had designated Aayu Clinics as my new primary care provider. THIS WAS PART OF A TARGETED AND DECEITFUL EMAIL CAMPAIGN BY AAYU CLINICS! I reached out to Aayu for an explanation. They told me that they get a list of people that have not gotten yearly checkups from insurance companies, and then reach out to them. Never in my many years on this earth have I ever heard of this or ever had it happen before. It's also clearly a violation of HIPPA laws...if it is true. I strongly suspect that it is not, and they're just farming their list of email contact to send confusing and/or outright lies to drum up business. Every single time I've gone, they assure me my prescriptions are sent to the pharmacy yet I have to call them back multiple times because the pharmacy never actually received them. Latest issue I had a broken nose and was sent to an X Ray imaging clinic only to be told that my insurance doesn't cover it even though I was assured by the doctor at Aayu that it would be. Just walked in and this place is clearly a money suck with no intention on giving actual care. I came in after having taken four Covid tests at home, suspecting tonsillitis. They told me I'd have to do a virtual visit to discuss symptoms, then have to go in for "tests to make sure I don't have anything bad" and only then would they see me. You are a doctor. Your JOB is to "make sure I don't have anything bad" immediately. Why are you going to do? Not treat me if I have Covid because you're scared? Get a grip. Glad I steered clear of this place after reading the comments. Seriously looks like there's a collective experience of quackery here. Aayu encouraged me to start getting my HRT here after being a ketamine client for a long time. I established hrt care with Dr. Ezra and then he left leaving me with no HRT script. I switched to the new HRT doctor and now they are telling me they don't know when she will be back and I am better off going somewhere else. This place is not able to provide competent care for trans people. They have left me without my hormones twice and I would not recommend any trans people attempt to get HRT treatment/care here. read more

my recent visit to Aayu clinic in Wicker Park was an absolute nighmare . I went in on Thursday with excruciating abdominal pain and urgently requested a CT scan. The office sent the order to the hospital 5 times, each time with the different mistake. As result, 4 days later, I'm still in agonizing pain and awaiting resolution. The CT scan wasn't performed due to the incompetence of the medical stuff at Aayu clinic. It's now Sunday and, and I've spent the entire weekend suffering unnecessary because of their negligence. I was referred to this place by another doctor because I was experiencing a high A1C. They proceeded to assign me to two different doctors who would both tell me to take different courses of action, making my entire experience confusing and expensive. Not only was I getting charged for countless unnecessary visits, but I was also being told to do the opposite of what the other doctor had told me to do. No one there communicates or collaborates with each other which makes the patient experience frustrating and difficult. Go somewhere else!!! Buckle up for this journey. If I could give zero stars, I would. This facility is a literal scam. Went there multiple times last summer and receptionists were not wearing masks. Consistent with other reviews, their scam is that they force you to schedule multiple visits for simple issues such as prescription refills and general care. I will say, I should have read the reviews first but.. I am feeling deeply affirmed knowing that everyone else had such a horrible time. I scheduled a first appointment to get a PCP and while I was there, I made probably 5 different appointments to be scheduled with specialists. Most of the appointments were pre-appointments to be approved for referrals. Why I needed to see a nurse practitioner 5 times to explain why I needed different specialists, is beyond me... I was only able to even begin to see help for 2 problems, neither of which experience was positive. I first scheduled my appointment to get refills on my asthma medication which I've been taking for 10 years, was told I would have to see a specialist, came in for the specialist appointment a few days later, saw the same nurse practitioner i originally saw, not a specialist. They told me when I arrived, during a pandemic, they wouldn't be able to do the tests due to COVID practices. (Would have loved a phone call.) Clearly irritated, I firmly asked them to do whatever they needed to do to fill my prescription refills, and they proceeded to listen to my breathing with a stethoscope which they had done my first visit. I had to pay for this visit. Second, I was also scheduled for a gyno appointment, which they said would be with a Gynocologist... which was why they didn't treat me the first day. I arrived to my appointment and after waiting the usual 45 minutes, the receptionist brought me to the counter and said I had an outstanding fee of $175 dollars. (Receptionist was rude and implied I couldn't afford to pay it.) Still not sure what I paid for, but did so that I could continue with my appointment..... Finally got into the back and the "Gyno" was the same nurse practitioner that had done my asthma exam. Worse, was that this person was so nervous to be giving me care, that on top of making me feel deeply uncomfortable, she ATTEMPTED TO PROBE MY R*CT*M INSTEAD OF MY V*GIN* THREE times before I corrected her. "this is... a vaginal exam, right?" I timidly asked, becaue this person wasn't describing anything they were doing, probably because they were nervous because they literally weren't a Gyno. Genuinely this woman wouldn't even look at my vagina while treating me. The amount of lubricant she used on the speculum was unheard of, and left me covered in it and left the room without offering me anything to clean myself. It was embarrassing and humiliating. Huge feelings of neglect and disrespect. I never once saw a specialist, their online portal never worked once out of all the appointments I tried to schedule with them. They're consistently late. They will overcharge you, ignore you, scam you into unneeded appointments and I couldn't ever justify recommending this place to anyone. I honestly hope this place closes. Y'all f*cked my year up. Also the person replying to the negative reviews is doing a terrible job at customer service and should be helping their office deeply consider why it's so godd*mn hard to get any decent care. I loved Dr. Shinde and the care and concern he showed when I walked in with a bad stomach bug. He got me on the mend right away. I would 100% switch to them as my primary care, but the payment process is a hassle. They've made vast improvements based on other reviews, but I still don't like paying $150 up front. Although They refunded within a week once my insurance followed through, that's a high price to pay for those who are paying insurance premiums already. I am a nonbinary individual with complex psychiatric conditions. Everyone here respects my identity and pronouns. All the workers from front desk, to nurses and doctors are friendly and professional. Dr. Shinde listens to me and I don't feel like I'm crazy when talking about some of my severe symptoms. His knowledge on which psychiatric medications will help me is vast. I feel like I have a team here instead of having all my doctors be from different clinics. I go here for my hormones and I go here for my psychiatry. I might even transfer therapy, but I have established a great relationship with my current therapist, so I'm on the fence. It's just nice to go to the same office for everything else instead of separate clinics. It feels holistic here. The wait times can be a bit long some days, other times there is no wait at all. But I feel like that's most medical offices anyways. I love that they text and call with reminders and confirmation. The patient portal is convenient. Love this place! read more

I went to AAYU for ketamine therapy. I have drug-resistant depression, which means that I've tried therapy & various medications for years (20 years to be exact) and nothing is helping. Ketamine's actually been very helpful and my provider there (Eric) is really great (the only reason for not giving 1 star. He's wonderful & gentle.) But the billing department sends mystery bills, NEVER answer or calls back, so you can't resolve them. But that's not it. They changed their protocol and you now need to put a $50 deposit down for your appointment. I've never had a medical office do that, and find it a bit presumptuous and off-putting but fine. (It's not a restaurant reservation, it's a health appointment.) That said, you'll make your appointment weeks in advantage, and they ALWAYS wait until the last minute to send you the link to pay the deposit (usually a day or 2 before.) My appointment is tomorrow and they emailed me yesterday. I was working at the time & forgot, so today, the day before the appointment they HARASS me for the $50. Multiple emails, multiple texts, phone calls.. Meanwhile I had a completely mad day bouncing around and barely got to feed myself, so I'm annoyed at how pushy they're being. Them waiting WEEKS to send this to me is not on me, I am not at their beck and call now that we are the day before. But ok, I was still planning to take care of it once home. Then I get a text that threatens to cancel my appointment if I don't pay by 5:30. Like all in caps, YOUR APPOINTMENT WILL BE CANCELLED!!! I don't respond well to threats so I was like, you know what? Cancel it then. This is so troubling. To know that they take so lightly the role they play in people's lives. People who seek help from them for ketamine have tried everything else and it's not worked. They're often suicidal and on empty. It usually took everything they had left to ask for help again. I have gone to the Wicker Park location twice for in-person visits for different issues, and 2x for telemedicine follow ups. Each time they have accurately and quickly diagnosed my symptoms, discussed a treatment plan with me and any associated medication, and I felt like all of my questions and care were appropriately addressed. They sent the post-visit summary and lab results to my portal quickly. They were efficient and helpful visits and I definitely plan on returning. read more

So let me start from the beginning - RUN away FAR, but read FIRST! I've been suffering from severe low back pain, leg numbness can barely walk etc since August, been to the chiropractor, massage 2 spine specialists, pain management, natural route etc - pretty much grabbing for straws at this point, then we discovered Ketamine. I had been researching clinics reading reviews, checking prices, insurance etc. Found Aayu Clinic and decided to give it a shot called there Nov 30th spoke to someone got right in for an appointment for a consultation on Monday the 25th perfect and was told I could start Ketamine as soon as that Saturday. I had asked to meet with the naturopath Dr. Jay and was told I would be, when I got there I magically was meeting with Kristine the Nurse Practitioner (odd?) but ok, should of been clarified. So had the pre-pre consult with her, they drew labs (which were never discussed never saw the results) she was very nice but had no knowledge of the Ketamine and said I would have to speak to the Dr prior to the treatment during THAT consult or the front desk. Ah okay so another consult? So I finish this consult and then head to the front desk to ask more questions, and schedule the Ketamine, while at the front desk questioning them I was told everything BUT the Ketamine itself is covered and it would be $175.00 flat that day okay perfect got it I asked a few more questions and finally the girl said, "Im not an expert ya know?" Well obviously I wouldn't because I do not work here you do you see these patients all the time and know what's going on so I would think you'd have some knowledge but I'll just continue to play stupid and leave my health in your hands and hope everything goes smooth. Ah again okay?! That should of been my indicator to shut it down right there. So I scheduled the Ketamine appointment for the following Saturday Nov 30th in the afternoon, needed a driver made proper arrangements left work early the whole 9. We get there, there's more paperwork to fill out papers that I had no clue what I was signing things that SHOULD of been discussed prior but WERE NOT, paid the $175.00 got a receipt sat in the waiting room. A tech came and got us, took vitals went over my chart very nice woman explained she was a medic cool we connected, then went into another room extremely uncomfortable everything was going to be done on an exam table. I was stuck 5 times and 5 veins were blown, had to call in another person to stick me (I know I'm a hard stick but really?) and while all the commotion was going on there is a knock on the door it opens and the front desk lady comes in and says, "Oh it will be an extra $200.00." UMMM excuse me FOR WHAT? NO. I was told $175.00 multiple times and I HAVE YET to see the Dr, mind you this entire start to finish should be an hour, and we have been here over an hour and I'm annoyed, tired, hot and have a brutal headache so my irritation is rising and now you want more money? So finally the Dr comes in spends about 2 minutes and says lets start, I said we needed to have a discussion and I did not want to go through with it, he comes back in and tells me the office manager Mya will be in on Monday and he assures me she will do a sliding scale and reduce the price to $275.00 because she has done it for ONE other patient before. ONE.. Ah okay, no sorry not playing he said she said. I said I will call Mya on Monday speak to her directly and want my credit card refunded. He spent some time trying to convince me and how much I NEED the Ketamine etc.. Okay Bro. So they take the IV out we get ready to leave stop at the front desk, cancel further appointments & advise that my card will be refunded and ask that Mya will be in Monday and we will follow up then - all confirmed. Ok perfect right?! Well... Monday rolls around... I call at 10:46am asking to speak to Mya and she magically stepped away from her desk and she would call me back. Alright I gave her a chance - As of 2:45pm I hadn't heard from her so I decided to give her a little jingle back and was advised that her phone magically wasn't working and she could only be contacted by cell phone. Ah okay ODD! But whatever. Just goes to show their professionalism and mannerisms. Absolutely WILL NOT BE RETURNING. Completely appalled at their actions and how they treat people or just assume they can keep asking for money. Good luck in the future. I don't leave reviews very often, or I call when I have AMAZING service but this was just downright pitiful and this is my health and my livelihood we are speaking of and no-one had any common courtesy or decency. Currently have been sitting here for 45 minutes crying because "their system is down" and they have no internet so I'm just wasting my time...during my lunch break... I traveled for an appointment which round trip is $30.... and no one bothered to call me to tell me hey, we can't see you today... I need my meds refilled and they are taking so long and just treating me with such disregard. The new receptionist does not know how to talk to people without an attitude or making them feel worse. I remember when luce was here it was much much different and the level of regard was different. I have been coming here for over a year and have had a terrible experience with one of their doctors which I disregarded because one doctor was so nice but today was the last straw. I am leaving feeling defeated and distraught because of this experience, thought you were supposed to go to the doctor to feel better not worse and crying. Why are you an immediate care??? If this is what's going on. It's 2019 no internet or network seems ridiculous for a medical practice where you depend on that solely. I'm witnessing people walk in to be seen since it's an immediate care and they are being turned away. I regret ever starting to come here in the first place but at the time it was right across the street from my job, which it isn't anymore but I've been loyal and still making it work. So quick update.. the Manager of the Practice called me up and primo used to send me my reports. That was on 8/22. I've still not heard back!! Really poor service! What is more aggravating is the fact that they charged my insurance company $700 for a preventative visit. However, like I mentioned in my earlier review all they did was blood work, height, weight, vital (BP, Temperature) but they didn't provide me with a report with recommendation/ next steps / prescriptions (if any) post the blood work. I'm forced to have to take the blood work results to another doctor to understand the results and get prescriptions. I would strongly advise people to stay away! My suggestion for people looking to get an annual physical would be to go some place else. read more

I would not recommend this clinic. They messed up prescriptions multiple times. Once I needed an antibiotic and after calling twice to ask why it wasn't sent to the pharmacy (still three days later) they finally sent it over. And then they sent an old prescription for my birth control, which had the incorrect amount of hormones. I am taking my business else where. read more

I've been to roughly 10 different urgent care type clinics in the last few years. I was disappointed with the service I received at this clinic. There were no other patients in the clinic when I arrived and the process still took well over an hour. I had to fill out paper work manually and then fill out this same information on the computer, which worked poorly. I had also booked online previous to my appointment and filled out the paperwork there as well.I had to wait for 15 to 20 minutes to get into a room to see the nurse which took my vitals and then they moved me into another room to see the nurse practitioner. The whole process seemed very efficient and when you feel like crap that's difficult to swallow. I would not recommend this clinic. read more

I would never recommend this place to anyone. I was assessed by a medical student that told me she was going to do the initial look while the doctor finishes up with another patient. She asked a couple of questions about my symptoms did the routine look at ear, nose, and throat and said she would be back. Outside the door, I could hear them talking over my symptoms and the doctor laughing at what they were discussing. Finally, after a couple of minutes of listening to them banter, the medical student came back in the room with a list of antibiotics the doctor prescribed. When I walked into the facility, one of the front desk attendees was sleeping on a couch in the waiting room which was immediately a red flag/strange. I had been told by a physician that I work with to go to urgent care just to get checked out after hitting my head earlier that morning. Aayu clinic is a four minute walk from my apartment so I thought I would stop in and get a quick check. The physician on duty at Aayu health clinic would not book me an appointment. She stated she would not want to just have to send me to the hospital even examining me. I was in tears. She told me I would need to get a CT scan and go to the emergency room which was very frightening for me. I never even made it past the front desk. I left and went to another urgent care in Old Town which examined me, gave me a diagnosis and I am on the mend - no CT scan needed. I don't understand why on their website they state they can examine concussions. I would rather spend the extra 15 minutes going to an urgent care in Old Town than ever stepping back into this building. read more

First off, the nurse practitioners have been very nice and had a good bedside manner. That said, it's been the worst admin experience I've ever had with a healthcare provider. I was billed $741 for a free physical by a company whose name I didn't recognize. I called Aayu to see if they recognized the name since Aayu was the only provider I had seen in that date range. They said no. Then, after calling the company who had sent the bill, they explained Aayu had sent them labwork and it wasn't being covered as "in network." Then I had to call my insurance company and call Aayu again and let them know that they were actually affiliated with this company and this bill I'd received. Aayu ignored my voicemail for weeks. I called back and let them know this really wasn't ok and I was worried about my credit score being impacted because I wasn't going to pay a $741 bill for a free annual physical. They said they'd get right to it and then after an email exchange or two with the manager, she ignored me again for about 10 days. After several more calls it was finally resolved, but I spent a couple months and about 7 phone calls/emails hounding them. As a healthcare provider myself, I was absolutely shocked at this treatment of patients and the lack of regard and knowledge for the billing end of things. Despite this terrible handling of the situation, they are conveniently located for me, the nurse practitioner was nice and I have awful Cigna HMO insurance and Aayu happens to be in-network . . . so I gave them another chance. I went in July 19 for a simple blood draw test and was told I'd have the results within 3 days and that I'd get a call and it would be posted to the patient portal. It is now August 1st and I've heard nothing from them. I would highly recommend going somewhere else if you don't want to deal with this kind of treatment! read more

I live on the south side, 45 min away from the clinic. I needed to get tested for Covid-19 ASAP and I called 10 places and for all of them I had to wait a week or more. I needed the test literally the day of or the next day. I don't have insurance so but I was willing to pay $150 to get the same day results. (I could of waited few days for the free one) Anyways, they do two swabs one for the rapid one and one for the longer one. At first I didn't wanna go because of few poor reviews that I read; however, they are wrong. This clinic is the best compared to all those other clinics. All my friends had such bad experience everywhere else. First you schedule an appointment online and you do a video call with them, they ask you questions and they answers all the questions you have. On top of that they are super nice. So don't be shy to ask any questions. The same day or the next day you go to them and they take you right away. I called that I'm here waiting in my car, in less than 2 minutes the lady came out and tested me. 100% recommend and don't listen to those poor reviews. read more

Scheduled an "appointment" online and arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment, only to be told that the "appointment" I made online is really like a reservation, so I have to wait another hour... even though it's clearly labeled as APPOINTMENT on their website. Once I was finally able to get looked at, I overheard employees on the other side of the door mocking my story which I used to describe the ailments I was experiencing. I then was then given an incorrect diagnosis and a prescription which obviously did not work. Finally, I received my bill which was more expensive than the actual world-renown specialist I saw a few weeks later. I guess I am partially to blame... I should have known that a place like this is not helpful unless you're experiencing the simple sore throat, stuffy nose, fever, etc. Anything beyond that, a complete waste of time and money. read more

I arrived 30 minutes before closing. The receptionist asked the reason for my visit. After I told her, she then told me that they're closing early and would check with the doctor if he could see me. After speaking to the doctor, she said they can't they're closing early for Memorial Day weekend. I am shocked that they would refuse someone who urgently needs to see a doctor so they could get an early start on their holiday weekend. read more

Was in Chicago from out of town and was suddenly ill. Aayu was convenient and turned out to be a great decision. Easy registration, excellent care team. I was paying out of pocket and they were very thorough about explaining what was covered under the initial fee and what would be extra. They also gave me a discount on an in-clinic treatment I received. There was even a CVS right across the street to fill the needed prescriptions. I was seen within 15 minutes of walking in the door and all in everything took about an hour. I could not be happier with my experience. I usually go to a CVS MinuteClinic in my neighborhood in LA, and Aayu's service blew them out of the water!! Aayu, please expand to LA so I can continue receiving such excellent service! read more
