I called about ten places and received the most affordable quote from this place, a total of $415 for a partially imbedded wisdom tooth for someone without insurance. The consultation was free because I already had my X-rays on me, but I should say that altogether, I was getting quoted an average of $100-200 more at other places. I'm so glad I found Midway Square Dental Care to take care of my wisdom tooth extraction- they were friendly, helpful, and professional! The staff puts you at ease and walk you through the whole procedure to make you comfortable. I got the local anesthesia within no laughing gas, so the procedure was not painful AT ALL. I have a very low pain tolerance so that means a lot coming from me! The oral surgeon made sure I was comfortable, and after a quick ten or fifteen minutes, we were all done! It was seriously so quick and painless that I was shocked that we were finished. (I had my eyes closed and earbuds in the whole time). I highly suggest coming here or to their other location Lincoln Square Dental Care for great service. Bring some music to listen to and let the time go by!

The primary care office sent the prior authorization which was initially denied by my insurance, stating the primary dentist should do the root canal and not a specialist. The primary dentist does not do root canals and the cycle of prior authorization and appeals continued for about 6 weeks. Within that time frame someone filed a grievance on my behalf for the first denial, which was eventually denied again under the original prior authorization number. After many phone calls to my insurance on my end, the root canal was finally approved and scheduled...then cancelled by the office manager who insisted that they had to follow the grievance letter, and also informed me that my daughters account was flagged due to the many phone calls I made to the insurance. I got on a three way phone call with the insurance and the office manager and I swear it was like two divorced parents bickering back and forth. During this conversation the insurance person stated that it was the office that continued to send prior authorizations incorrectly instead of making an appeal like they we instructed to do by the insurance and that is why the account was flagged. How unprofessional of an office manager to put that on the parent. This office manager continued to cancel my appointment and insisted the insurance send another approval letter with a more current date, but the insurance insisted that the approval letter was in good standing which the office manager was not accepting and basically refused to treat my daughter. Never have I ever gone through such a cluster f**k ...and the whole time my daughter was suffering with this tooth. I had no choice but to take her somewhere else and pay out of pocket, and she didn't need a specialist to it either. I found a general dentist that did an amazing job. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this place...they don't care about patients..only money.

I had two extractions with her and then started an implant process with Dr. Patel in 2022/2023 after Dr. Daisy left. Over almost three years, I went through three different attempts at getting a crown, and each time seemed more painful than the last. As time went on, I felt like I was bothering them whenever I called them about the pain or mentioned that the implant felt loose. Between the second and third crown attempt, I got a second opinion from another dentist who told me the crown was loose and suggested I go back to let them know. When I returned and mentioned this, I was told it was normal to "feel" that way. It wasn't until I explained that another dentist had confirmed it that they removed the crown and said they'd send it back to the lab. After over a year of this, I honestly started questioning whether I was imagining the pain. The third crown attempt became loose the very next day after it was placed. During my final appointment, Dr. Patel explained that she could bury the implant or I could find an oral surgeon on my own or she could recommend one, to have it removed, as she couldn't take it out herself, despite being the one who had put it in. I decided to seek another opinion and eventually saw an oral surgeon who referred me to a prosthodontist. The prosthodontist confirmed that something was genuinely wrong - the implant hadn't integrated properly, which explained my constant pain. He explained that if I didn't have it removed, I risked serious complications like infection. I found an oral surgeon who removed the implant, which I had to pay for myself. Now I'm recovering from that surgery and, because the process took so long, I need additional corrective treatment. This has put me in debt with more procedures ahead of me. The financial stress on top of the physical pain has been really challenging. What's been hardest is that I put my complete trust in this practice.  The ongoing pain was emotionally draining, and feeling like my concerns weren't being taken seriously made everything worse. I've also had some administrative issues - I actually had to ask for a refund, which really should have been obvious given the failed treatment, and I still haven't received anything back. Email replies take days and days for responses.  My membership also hasn't been canceled and my payment information is still in their system, which adds to my financial concerns. This reflects my personal experience at this practice. Looking back, I wish I had made a different choice about where to have my implant done.

WARNING!!!!! Dr. Shafeeq Bader is an ABSOLUTE HACK!!!! There are no words to express the horror…read moreI've gone through having gone to this dentist. Coming into the New Year was hell as Dr. Bader attempted to give me a crown that I NEVER needed. This man drilled through my tooth haphazardly leaving material from the existing filling and dental putty. The temporary crown he put on BROKE TWICE, within 48 hrs, the second within 24 hrs. Both of those visits were horrible and the incompetence of himself and dental assistant were on full display as they took 4 different impressions of my tooth on the first visit and 3 on the second visit. When the temp crown broke for a second time I decided to go to my former competent dentist who was out of network for my insurance. This means within 8 days my tooth was worked on 3x leaving me in an immense amount of pain as the nerve endings had been exposed to so much trauma. Dr. Bader did return my money however the composite fillings he gave me in October of 2024 are in need of repair, just 6 months later, the fillings he convinced me I needed to be replaced, my previous fillings were fine. His incompetence is next level, the difference between the composite filling and my tooth is super obvious and I cannot chew on one side of my mouth. I have never had issues like this until visiting Dr. Bader. If you are reading this, please save yourself pain, misery, money, and time. The reviews are not accurate as he offers an incentive for 5 star reviews. I have no idea what my insurance is going to do about this tooth as it was just treated 6 months ago and it didn't even need to be. FIND ANOTHER DENTIST!!!! Visited my dentist 5/2/25 and he is again baffled as to why my mercury fillings were removed, turns out I have a really high nerve on the tooth I'm experiencing pain and he would have never touched and can't touch it now as it may cause constant pain for years. Also he did in between fillings and I have new X-Rays show no decay between my teeth. And the cleaning this office did in October was no where near a professional dental cleaning like the one I just had a few days ago. I curse the day I came across this dentist. I truly believe that Dr. Bader tells patients that they need things to get money from our insurance. It is my belief that they are committing insurance fraud.

Recently, I got fed up and scheduled an appointment and made her go. She has dental insurance and still didn't take advantage of it. Anyway, were about 15 minutes late(my mother was slower than normal because she was probably scared) and I thought they were going to cancel her appointment. However, they graciously accepted her and she completed the paperwork. The dentist and his staff explained the necessary treatment, which wasn't as bad as I expected. She took Xrays and they began the deep cleaning on her bottom quadrants the same day. I was impressed. The price was very reasonable. My mother has been so excited since we left yesterday. She was impressed with the dentist's bedside manner. She also complimented the staff on their friendliness. Thank you Dr. Bader and....My mother can't wait until her next appointment in two weeks!!!!
