I have been experiencing gum inflammation and pain for the past week, and found out I needed to get my wisdom tooth taken out. Having never done it before, I was pretty nervous. I called about ten places and received the most affordable quote from this place, a total of $415 for a partially imbedded wisdom tooth for someone without insurance. The consultation was free because I already had my X-rays on me, but I should say that altogether, I was getting quoted an average of $100-200 more at other places. I'm so glad I found Midway Square Dental Care to take care of my wisdom tooth extraction- they were friendly, helpful, and professional! The staff puts you at ease and walk you through the whole procedure to make you comfortable. I got the local anesthesia within no laughing gas, so the procedure was not painful AT ALL. I have a very low pain tolerance so that means a lot coming from me! The oral surgeon made sure I was comfortable, and after a quick ten or fifteen minutes, we were all done! It was seriously so quick and painless that I was shocked that we were finished. (I had my eyes closed and earbuds in the whole time). After reading the last two post from 2013 i am confused. I have been going to this office for over 8 yrs now. However, comparing the prices, and treatment plans from previous owners and current owners, i have come to realize that there is a huge difference. I can give this office a 1 start rating if it was the previous owners - when Dr. Roberts was there, however, i won't because the new owners have done a great job at lowering the prices and doing an excellent job with their treatments. I cannot dispute the rating form the previous posters because i am not in their shoes or have experienced what they have but i can say that since the new owners took over i have had good experiences. I will not sit here and lie, there has been some disagreements but their staff has worked with me on resolving the issues and has been a win win outcome. read more

I've been a patient here for years . Dr. Bicakci took all 4 of my wisdom teeth out that were killing me. Since then I went back for all my dental needs. I hate going to the dentist , BUT the staff here is always so pleasant and welcoming. My hygienist Jasmine is amazing. She literally takes her time with my cleanings and gives you feedback on how to maintain your pearly whites ....The girls at the front desk are also super !!!! I never mind their friendly phone call reminders because when they call me , they're always in such good spirits. I appreciate good service & great staff with great energy. Was going to Midway Square Dental for about 3 years now. My first dentist Dr. Siren was very friendly and explained my whole treatment plan for me and answered any questions I had. He left the practice and I now have a new dentist, Dr. Roberts. I had a bad experience the last time I was there. For starters there is a new hygenist that was incredibly rude and constantly kept walking out of the room. She continued to berate me about my poor flossing skills and my mouth hurt for about a week, which it shouldn't. After my cleaning was done I waited about 30 minutes for Dr. Roberts to see me and when she did she told me I needed a new crown and another possible gum lengthening procedure which was done in the past to fix the issue about getting a crown replacement. I also needed a filling adjustment that she had supposedly fixed 6 months. She totally ignored me when I told her about my problem. Also when I went to check out they were trying to charge me over $2000 for the treament plan she had mentioned but didn't bother asking me if that was something I wanted to do now. Needless to say I will not be returning to Midway Sqaure Dental and I feel taken advantage of. read more

Dentist and assistants are very nice. But beware of fast talking front desk rep with chin length haircut (sorry don't remember name). Make sure you check your receipt for services rendered and dates of services. And don't just take her "we'll be billing your insurance" (as if there's no need for you to concern yourself with the total) word for it. If you're like me there's a certain amount per year that you have available to spend for your dental services before you pay out of pocket. And yes, during my visit there were mistakes caught and when presented she replied that she didn't know how those got on there. And of course there's the old distraction trick of trying to hold a conversation with you while you're reading so beware of that as well. read more

It is very unfortunate that after I thought things were settled over the phone days ago I am being accused of giving false information from what has been told to the BBB. And I will definitely file a complaint with the attorney general if in the next 7 days this issue is not resolved. On my last visit I had a free consultation, before that consultation i had to cancel two visits which during the consultation I was told the fees were being waived and the consultation was completely free. shortly after my last consultation I was called and told NONE of the information that Midway Square Dental office is providing now, I was simply told that I was not accepted as a patient anymore because of my insurance. No other extensive explanation. The last time I was at the office before being informed of the insurance issues I asked what my balance was and they assured me it was $0. A few weeks after receiving the phone call from the office I received a notice of payment for $50 stating that was my bill for my consultation which was supposed to be free. I can send a copy of the bill if necessary. The bill also stated that I was 30 days late... how would that be possible I am not sure. A week ago I called the office and spoke to a manager who assured me ALL of my fees were waived and again I OWE them $0. Now I receive this email from the BBB saying that they are accusing me of giving false information. I have a recording of the phone call, I can send a copy of the bill and will definitely contact the Illinois Attorney General regarding this matter if not resolved and I am assured that Midway Square Dental center is going to honor they word regarding my balance as I was assured it was $0. Again if needed I can provide a copy of the bill and a recording of the phone call between me and a manager in their office. The only ones giving false information is them since even over the phone they were trying to convince me the charges were from the cancellations (the bill says it is for the consultation) either way I was told my consultation was free and my cancellation fees were waived. Everything was fine and my balance was $0 until they dropped me as a patient because of the insurance issues and then decided to bill me for their time. I will not pay this bill and will take them to court if this goes to collection. It is about the principle, not the $50. I am a customer service manager, i would never let this happen to a customer of my dealership. read more

(This was in 2014) Hygenists here were very nice, but the blonde, older Dr who saw me was rude. She kept shaking her head as she looked at my teeth and gave me two pages of services that she said I needed and still had a judgemental attitude the whole time, I couldn't wait to leave. To make things worse, the receptionists there called me almost every week to make a follow-up appt even though I kept telling that I would call back on my own to make it. I had to finally tell them to remove my number and stop calling me. Unless that's normal practice for a dentist's office, I do not recommend this place at all. read more

Midway Dental Clinic is the place to get it all done. If I was able to feel no pain while getting my wisdom tooth extracted which was also impacted, then this place is doing something great. I came here after previously having a free exam and x-ray elsewhere that wanted to double charge me for what Midway Dental was about too kindly offer for having my tooth extracted. Yes I paid for the exam here but it was totally worth it because I saved myself $400 dollars Vs. the dental clinic that offered a free exam and x-ray, who would have thought? This clinic was beyond kind and friendly. From the beginning to end, everything was amazing. The Dentist gave me his professional Consult for what procedures I must undergo for all the teeth that needed either a filling or extraction. Dr. Hirant Bicakci was phenomenal and he knew what he was doing. I would come back here knowing I would not feel the pain and knowing that I don't have to empty all my pockets for any procedure I may need in the future. read more

This place is the reason for me to overcome with my dentist phobia and they are really very good in their work. They consider you as a patient, not as a check book!!! I am fuming over the customer service I received here back in April 2014 only to receive a bill for work done NOT covered by my insurance although I was told it was covered. First I had my xrays done (full mouth) and told to come back because they over booked and could not complete my cleaning. Then my daughter had work done and was told by the dental office the insurance covered it 100%. Now I am stuck with a bill and not able to get another full mouth of x-rays for 24 months with another dental office because my insurance will not cover it. Called my insurance and they said this office absolutely knew what their coverage was since they bill on a regular basis. The supervisor told me they had no idea, really. read more

I wish I would have read the horrible reviews for this place before I went. My horrible experience started with the receptionist lying to me several times about what my plan covered. I went to this dentist to get a deep cleaning/scaling and explained to them I received that service last year. The receptionist ensured she spoke with my insurance and I was covered to have another scaling. I asked her this several times. Once I had the services, they presented me with a bill of over $500. I questioned the amount as I have dental insurance and she told me, it looks like since you had this service before, your insurance won't cover it. I was highly upset as I asked several times before I booked the appt if they had checked with my insurance. I paid about $300 on the bill that day and left. I would have never gotten the procedure if it was not covered. Today, I called to get my X-rays which I paid for within the $300 payment I gave them told me that she would not give them to me as I had an balance. She was extremely rude and lacked good customer service. This is the worst dentist I have ever been to. I would DEFINITELY NOT recommend this place. They do not have the patient's best interest. worst treatment i've ever received. midway square dental is not on the up and up. my newly found dentist is charging to pull out 2 teeth, what they were trying to charge me that same price just for an xray ended up i didnt even need. the first day i went with an appointment due to extreme pain from wisdom teeth and instead of letting me know they needed previous x rays they waited for me to show up to my appointment and told me they couldn't see me without that. this was on monday, and the lady was nice so i let it be even though i wasted a half day off. The next day in the morning while at work i get a call from a very rude lady in office threatening to cancel my appointment because she informed me that i need to pay bill in full before services which is weird for a dentist, but stll fine. i simply asked for an estimate because to insure i had enough to cover, not to waste anyones time. i came back with said x rays which we previously established was from a year ago and this was on tuesday. The same nasty lady from my phone call earlier informed me i still needed to retake xray, so what was the point of me taking another day off when we could have just done everything the first day, but again trying to be polite and get started cause im crying in pain from my teeth, i let it go. So i pay for the xray and this is all before ive even met my dentist she tells me oh and then u will also need another xray after that again before a dentist has even seen me and i calmly tell her im confused at why they do things backwards never heard of a dentist office that refuses service untill after paying for multiple xrays because they dont know what it is when a dentist could tell us after a minute of being in my mouth. the lady talked to me like a child even told me to stop talking and take blame myself for not understanding or being clear and told me i can leave although she was not head staff at office i than got a refund from xray after being there for 3 hours and being yelled at and disrespected by this one female staff member completely inappropriate i told her she was a nasty lady and she continues to scream and defend herself like shes not currently at work. i than go to another office called comfort dental and not only did the doctor see me first and tell me which xray i needed but he didnt even charge me for xray he said my insurance covered it. this is weird cause midway square dental told me the opposite that neither xray were covered and were trying to cheat me out of money beofre even being seen, they say affordable, but definitely not. the comfort family dental i went to after this visit was a very beautiful relaxing quick place, with way better rates im getting 2 teeth removed and the doctor even offered to come in on his day off for my convince. plus read more
