Beware, this company does not do quality work. A leg on an older metal table partially fractured and I contacted AB Mobile Welding to see if they could repair the leg. George ( owner) said he could fix and it would cost $100. I said great I didn't want to spend a lot of money. The welds were horrific, a first time welder would have done a better job. When I called to talk to George about his substandard work he took no responsibility for his sloppy work and proceeded to blame everyone and everything rather than taking any responsibility. I took the table to another welder who said in 40 years he has never had to repair work as bad as AB Mobile Welding aka George. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE read more

After contacting 6 different welders I decided to go with A-B Welding and I'm so glad I did! For starters, George is a great dude and is very responsive, unlike all the other welders I reached out to. He knows his stuff and is very solution-oriented. My vintage tuck needed a good bit of rust frame repair. George came out to assess the damage and gave me an estimate on the same day that I called him. Three days later he worked me into his weekend schedule and had my truck repaired and ready for pickup in less than 24 hours. My travel trailer needed reinforcement of the 4-inch box beams on the tongue or A-Frame. George came out to my house with a high-powered generator and two Lincoln welders. He also brought the correct 1/4 inch steel plates to do the job. He described what he planned to do and then showed me the intermediate steps as he completed the job. He cut the pieces of steel plate so they fit perfectly and expertly welded them into position. The repair looks nice and the welds look even. George is an expert welder with lots of experience and pride in doing a job that is both strong and pretty. His price was very reasonable considering that very few shops would even attempt this repair and George made it strong so I don't have to worry about it bending again. Let me first start off by saying that my job wasnt the easiest or straightforward. I have a 1969 camaro round tube chassis pro street car that I'm building from scratch in my garage. I only own a small flux core welder and I needed someone to finish welding and fabricating the interior 18ga panels of the floors and tubs. Im extremely picky, and i demand good work. After calling 4 mobile welders from Craigslist (the car has no wheels or rear axle so cannot be moved at this point) to try and get them to come over they a.) Never showed up or b.) Gave me the run around after seeing the job. C.) Quoted the job and then wanted more. Keep in mind... I never haggled. I wanted someone to come over and do the job right and I was willing to pay for it. I then went on my local neighborhood app (next door) where I instantly saw some amazing reviews of George and thought I'd give him a call. After leaving George a message he quickly called me back and after a few text message photos later he bid the job and made an appointment to arrive the next day. I can honestly say George is one of the nicest, hard working, prompt people I've met in a long time. He arrived right on time, worked all day with no breaks, complaints or issues. He working into the night till the job was complete. He's a man of his word and also stuck by his price. I would more than recommend George for any and all welding jobs. I contacted this company to add a roller on a fence. At first George came out and started to say the fence was built wrong, who ever built the fence did not know what they were doing, and he would have to install another wheel and reinforce the center of the fence and he had to go to his shop to get a wheel, because he did not have a wheel with him. Then he tells me he would do the work, but it will cost me more money than what I had, therefore I will need to get the money, I told him I did not have anymore money, but I could borrow some and I will try to get it, then he tells go get it while I get the wheel. After 30 minutes later I called him and told him I was only able to come up with 75% of what he was asking, then he tells me, I can't not do the work for the amount and hang up the phone. Then 5 minutes later he calls me and tells me he would do the work; but I would have to get him the rest of the money the next day. I told alright I'll do that. Then he agreed to fix the fence and George comes back with his wife to do the work. He installed the new wheel and it was too big, throwing the fence out of the track, then he says he has to cut the front wheel, because he has to add a splinter to the wheel. He then adds a piece of 2" x 2" tubing to the wheel. It made the gate get out of the track, then he says he has to cut the top of the picks on the fence so the fence can get thru the 2" x 2" tubing or he has to cut the tubing on top and make a triangle cut on the gate. I told him we need a smaller wheel in the center in order to support the gate. He then tells me no, he can't see anymore because is too late, and why I had called him so late. He will finish the work the next day after 2:00 p.m. I told alright. The following day he calls me and tells me he will meet me within an hour, this's at 12:51 pm. At 2:05 I texted him to let him know I was waiting for his arrival. He finally showed up at 3:45 pm. He comes with two metal rods and he tells me he figured out how to fix the fence, by welding these two metals rods to the fence and by taking off the wheel he had added. I told him the front wheel the one he added the piece of tubing had fallen off. He told me he had only had dotted the tubing to the wheel. After I had help him to lift the fence, fetched his tools when he needed them and help him remove the wheel he had installed to the fence. Then he went on to say he normally drives his big dually truck to do the big jobs, but for the most part he drives his small truck. Then he asked me why are these people so afraid? They need to go to church. I told him they all go to church. Then he tells me you told me this alley is not busy, it's like a freeway he says, I said normally is not busy, then he says tell me the true how long have you lived here, I told him about 10 years, then he says you know this's the ghetto of Long Beach, is a horrible neighborhood. I don't know what he was trying to prove to me; but after what I had to go thru in order to get the Mickey Mouse job done, I would certainly never hire George again. First it all he has an arrogant attitude, second I think he thinks he is God's to woman, and third he did a Mickey Mouse job. He had to re-weld the first wheel, and now I have a hole in between the wheel, I just hope the wheel will hold, then where he put his pole he managed to thinned out the pole on the fence and third where he took the wheel he installed he thinned out the 2" by 2" tubing. Bringing the wife to the job site was unprofessional and having to see how he was bossing her around was very demeaning. I've learned three things out of this experience, never hire someone who thinks he knows it all and has an attitude, second someone the is money hungry and third do not pay them until they complete the work. Having to listen to him about the way he felt about the neighborhood made me not wanting to do business with him again. He was hired to work, not to rate the neighborhood or the people in the neighborhood. The Mickey Mouse job he did, it left a bad taste in my mouth, by doing so he has loss many future opportunities to do additional work for me. read more

I contacted this company to do some welding on my tractor. George came out and did the work. After one week several of the welds broke. I contacted George and he would not reweld it for free. He refused to guarantee his work. He sent me the analogy that i couldnt return a pair of new boots after three days of dragging them on the ground. I replied that if i had purchased boots that fell apart after a week i certainly would return them after a week or normal wear and tear. He then sent me an fbomb response via text telling me to get my finances in order and that he didnt want to work for me. Its too bad George took the low road here. In doing so he forfeits many future opportunities to do additional work for me. read more
