If I could give Anthony 4.5 stars here, I really would. He was great to work with, but he was just a little mark off perfect. Anthony was one of the many painters I reached out to help repaint the interior of my townhouse. The work consisted of painting almost all the interior walls and ceilings with colors I had picked out beforehand (basically every wall except the bedrooms and bathrooms). I ended up choosing Anthony because he had the schedule that worked out the best for me, and he gave a very good estimate of how long the work will take. I was sceptical at first that the work would be done on time, but he was able to complete it all in 3 days! Not only that, I even added work to repaint the crown moldings on the ceilings after the work had started, and he still managed to get the work done without any delays! He showed up every day at exactly the time he said he would (7am every day), and he always kept me posted about the work at the end of each day. Though the work was done on time, and it came out looking great, there were a few things that kept it from perfect: 1. Anthony did a great job at taking off electrical outlet plates, but there were a few areas that would have gone unpainted if I had not pointed them out while the work was being done. They weren't obvious spots (e.g. the wall space between the inside of my shutters and the window) but it definitely would have been frustrating if I had not caught these before the job was done. When I pointed them out though, he was more than happy to do them. 2. My design had most of the walls a white-grey and a few walls throughout the house accented a dark blue. The accent walls came out mostly great; however, I'm not sure if it's normal, but the edges where the blue meets the white were very uneven where I would expect a mostly straight line. Also, I had painted 3 strokes of 3 different shades of blue as samples on these walls to test the colors out. I'm not sure what happened, but these sample areas on the accent walls aren't completely covered. It's not easy to tell but it's definitely noticeable under my lighting that they were there. These 2 details with the accent walls are pretty minor. They're not enough to make a fuss, but just enough to be a little annoying considering #3... 3. The price. Out of all the painters I received quotes from, Anthony was definitely on the higher end. But, I'll point out again that he was also the one that gave me the fastest schedule that I was really looking for, so I did not mind paying a little more. And in the end, the work really did turn out near-perfect. Anthony was great and friendly the entire time! read more

I have a condo in Playa Vista and had been looking for a painter to paint 2 rooms and a hallway. I called around and Anthony and several other painters I found on Yelp. I chose Anthony because he was extremely friendly AND offered the lowest price of all 5 painters I had spoken with, one of whom was 3 TIMES cheaper (he's the guy we had used on a different job a year ago). On top of that, he got me his 20% discount at Home Depot! What more can you ask for? Well one thing: he offered to do it on a Sunday morning because that's the only time I wasn't at work. How showed up 10 minutes earlier than planned, was prepared with all the necessary supplies, and did a rapid and PERFECT job on the painting! He even helped me install my plasma TV, remove the old TV from the wall, and haul out some unneeded items, all at no charge. I was so grateful, I ended up giving him my old plasma TV and sound system and DVD player! This guy is horrible. First he made me sign the contract that I was satisfied with the work as soon as he walked in the door, and said if I didn't sign it he wouldn't do the work. Then he pretended like he was starting the work, but kept calling me to the room for nonsensical things. Then all of a sudden he gets an emergency call, and said he would come back when I had more time. Why does he need ME to have more time for, that doesn't even make sense. Anthony is outstanding, he painted every room in our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo in Playa Vista. He really has a good eye for color and helped us decide on how exactly we should execute having some more dramatic colors and a more typical white. We looked around for a while and ended up sitting on paint samples for over a year until we found Anthony. At the end of the day the whole place took 4 days and we are still thrilled with how nice it looks. This was my second time using Anthony. The first time was great but the second time was not as good. When Anthony arrived to my condo, we did a walk through and went into my master bath and discussed the walls being painted. In my bathroom on one wall their is a cabinet/wall. Anthony told me he would paint the wall and I assumed the wall around the cabinet. When he finished, I failed to do a walk through with him. After he left I went into my bathroom and noticed how one wall with cabinet was not painted and the other walls were painted. The job in my opinion was not completed. Anthony also rushed to get my place done and had another job that afternoon. I texted Anthony and he told me if he came back to paint that wall it would be an additional $300. I didn't understand why that was not communicated to me initially. Who wants half of a wall not painted and looking tacky. In my opinion, that has a reflection on him as a painter. Anthony & his assistant came over to complete a job painting a portion of the interior of my home this week. I have 7 kids, 6 of whom still live at home, and it was stressful to just think about having to keep them out of the house all day for the majority of the week while my house would be painted.
