I waited 30 minutes before calling to see if something had happened. He answered and said "Oh, what's your address, I can be there in 20 minutes." He arrived 30 minutes later and gave us the quote. He took his time and wrote out exactly what we needed. His quote was thorough and seemed reasonable. The reason for my 1-star rating is because when we were ready to schedule, we called and called and no one ever answered. My husband also tried and left messages that were never returned. I know they are a busy company, but it shouldn't be that hard to schedule once a quote has been provided. Perhaps Doug needs to hire a receptionist to help with phones. We ended up going with another company and I'm so glad we did. They did a wonderful job! They were also Yelp verified and backed by a $2,500 protection by Yelp. We chose a smaller company where we had direct access to the owner and communication was never a problem. The owner was also onsite every day of the job.

Unfortunately, the owner continues his online crusade to discredit me and I'm backed into a corner to prove the legitimacy of my concerns. I've added a video showing yellowing throughout the house. This is not a moisture issue. When the work was finished caulking was not yellowed, but I found several areas throughout the house that were not caulked at all. I was also was unhappy with the gap between boards and the floor. The owner is correct when he says I signed a contract indicating that this would not be done. I was guided into this and later found out that it is not always standard practice. Nonetheless, I signed this contract and feel that it would be unfair for me to grade based upon this problem alone, hence the updated increase to my rating. When painting was finished I did voice my discontent with the way things turned out. The owner became defensive about his work. His strategy was to deflect these concerns as a me problem, rather than a workmanship problem. I can remember feeling pressured at the end of the job to agree that things were satisfactory and reluctantly paid. There was no call back to fix the yellowing because his arrogance turned me off. I did not want him back in my house. I've lived in the house for years, looking at my unsightly baseboards. Every time I walk through my hallways I'm reminded of how frustrated I am that I paid good money for this. I do not like publicly shaming a company, but in this case it's necessary. After years I finally posted a review. The bottom line is that the job is substandard. I have to have things repainted at my own expense and I'm very disappointed about it.

I recently hired Adan and his team for what I thought would be a standard exterior touch-up, and they absolutely blew me away. I originally only needed work on the stucco, pop-outs, fascia, and garage doors. However, I decided to add my wooden pergola to the project last minute, and they handled the addition seamlessly with fantastic results. What impressed me most was their attention to detail. I had several stains on the stucco I thought were permanent and various cracks around the house. Adan's team managed to fill the cracks and treat the stains so perfectly that the house looks like it received a full, fresh paint job--all without the price tag of a total repaint. We needed our roll up garage doors painted. Adam did a superior job. He scraped and sanded the doors (they were badly chipped) and applied two coats of paint. When finished they were like factory new. We are extremely pleased. read more

The exterior was previously done in very dark colors, and painting it much lighter transformed our home beautifully. It was a pleasure working with them. Wilfredo is a hard worker and most importantly - *meticulous* attention to detail. I've had several painters over the years, and no one preps as thoroughly as this guy. It makes a big difference, especially with a larger job like this one, not to have to worry about any overspray or drips. He also uses the high quality formula paint, and premium oil base for our doors. I was impressed with the good coverage the almost white color had over the dark paint, due to his thoroughness, and the garage and front door turned out beautifully. There were some details that caused extra work, like small repairs and having to paint around the rain gutters to paint the top strip of fascia that barely showed. These things really made a difference. He's also very tidy; each day he completely cleaned up his equipment, and at the end returned everything around the house to where it previously was. This included raking all the mulch back into place so I didn't have to! Wilfredo and his assistant are diligent, hard workers, along with being friendly and kind. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Coastside Painting again (and again), and highly recommend them.

From our very first conversation, Joey put me at ease. He is genuinely kind and professional. He informed me that he would follow up within a few days with a quote, which he did, and it met my expectations. The cost was under what I had anticipated, so I responded, and he called to schedule a start date. The project was scheduled for a few weeks out, not months. My initial anxiety stemmed from this being my first time painting a house, and I was concerned about making the right choices, including the colors. Joey was very patient, answering all my questions thoroughly and offering guidance, regardless of the time I reached out to him. On the day they began power washing the house, everything went smoothly. Joey got my final decisions on colors (making one color change recommendation) and went to buy paint to start the next day. I am SO happy he changed the color of the trim because I would have hated the color I picked... Love the one he picked; it's perfect! They provided a clear plan for the upcoming work each day before leaving. The team included a very attentive young man who meticulously taped and prepped the house--everything was thoroughly covered. He sees all the little spots that I saw as the homeowner. I'm usually quite good at picking out the little spots that may have been missed, but Juan's attention to detail was better than mine. He truly cares and stands behind his work. This company guarantees quality and he did. We did a final walkthrough together and he made sure to hit everything and anything I found. They cleaned everything up, left us the remaining paint labeled and took all the trash with them. Juan and his team are very hard working and did a great job communicating with me every day.
