My husband received a text message on 6-24-26 to call to have our dehumidifier looked at. Yesterday I received a message on Yelp about my comment regarding Abbott Air. First, I want to say when Xavier came, he said no such thing about he was only there to get the AC running. The dehumidifier is attached to the AC unit in the attic so how is this not all connected? And when he came to tell us he got the AC unit running we were told he shut the breaker to the dehumidifier and the AC started running with cooler air. Second, Sunday morning at 6: am I looked at the dehumidifier thermostat on the wall under my AC thermostat to see the Dehumidifier was running. My husband went to look at the breaker to find it was NOT SHUT OFF. Doing my own research on the Aprilaire with all the hot, humid weather we were having the DEHUMIDIFIER probably froze. Especially after it came on Sunday by itself. But was supposed to be OFF. So, it took Abbott Air to respond to us about our dehumidifier almost a week and only because I made my post on Yelp? What kind of customer service is that? Do not make excuses for the weather and your techs being overwhelmed with calls. We should have had a call on Monday as we were told by your customer service department, but we did not. OR you should have had a tech to our house on Monday to look at the dehumidifier. IF at that time we were told a part had to be ordered waiting is something we could accept but being totally ignored, NO. We spent a lot of money on new equipment with Abbott Air 2024 and 2025 up to $14,000. I am not looking for being a special customer with you and I am sure there are many other customers who have spent more with Abbott Air, but when a customer calls and needs service it should be followed through. If a tech is not qualified to fix a piece of equipment, then it should be called in to the appropriate tech and be followed up immediately not a week later. If you sell equipment and install that equipment, then you best better have the correct TRAINED tech to work on it. TRAINING VERY IMPORTANT. read more

The service performed was very good however the value was extremely poor. I had a motor replaced under warranty and for just the labor was charged $410 and that was for 1 hours of work. These guys really know how to take advantage of you when they know that they can. I now will have a new hvac company. Stay clear of these guys unless you got lots of money. read more

We purchase a brand new unit from Abbott Air in sept 2022 for $10,000. After installation we had to contact them many times to come back and set up the thermostat again and again as our home was not cooling properly. Every time they came out they made us feel as though we are a problem customer although we paid so much for a brand new system. then finally after just 1 year, the system started to leak and we quickly called them. A few of our stuff got ruined but thankfully we were home and called them in time and they said that it was due to a part that needed to be replaced. One of the owners AJ came out once with his son and told us that we needed a maintenance plan which we were fine with but he also said that there was no way to stop a leak and it could leak again at any time. We let him know that our home was a vacation rental and we would not always be home and how can a brand new AC unit just leak at any time? AJ was beyond rude and kept making us feel like we were the problem. Then we had another leak and Abbott Air came out again and this time because due to the same problem, we were upset and the technician got all sensitive and just left our home. More of our stuff was going to get ruined! We were made to feel as though everything was our fault. My wife then decided to call another AC company and they came out and let us know that there was a faulty install with a 90 degree angle pipe. We asked the new technician if it was normal for a new AC unit to just leak at anytime and he absolutely said no that with regular maintenance and the new angle that he installed all would be good and no leaks! We then called Abbott Air to discuss this and to also get a copy of our warranty from them and no one called us back after many calls and voicemails. Then both my wife and I just could not get through to them as they BLOCKED both of our numbers! Again they BLOCKED both me and my wife's number! How unprofessional and childish! We spent $10,000 on an AC unit and they installed it incorrectly and never took accountability for their mistake and our stuff getting ruined and they are upset at us?? We do not recommend this company and especially after they never returned our calls and blocking us from contacting them and by not installing our unit properly. A terrible company and we now have to go in person with a police escort because we do not trust them just to get our warranty. A very unprofessional company. Insane labor prices! Five minutes to change out a $20 AC capacitor = $199.00. That equates to $35.80 per minute or $2,148.00 hourly. Brain surgeons don't get paid as much per hour! If you enjoy having your pockets picked clean of your hard earned money, call ABBOTT AIR. Predator pricing on uninformed and naive retirees. Shameful pricing ethics. I was receiving a quote for a whole house a/c unit with air handler and Ryan Camman was talking about warranties etc and I brought up about our pool heater had gone out. He said we fix those.. he offered to take a quick look and wound up fixing it for me. Needless to say, he came with the best quote and warranty for the a/c unit and we wound up going with Abbott Air... they did a great job, followed up the next day to ensure all was done properly and ready for inspection by the county. I am very pleased with the service and the way they handle their business. read more

First issue was a they mis diagnosed a simple insulation issue as a drain pan leak. Second issue was I prepaid for a maintenance plan Abbott scheduled a date for a maintenance call and we called in on that date to report an issue with the thermostat. Rather than make it a part of the scheduled service they charged $162 for a service call. I had some problems with the air conditioning unit that was installed 3 years ago. Abbott couldn't get the parts, so they put a temporary unit in for me until the parts came in. Abbott made sure that I had cooling during the hot and humid months. Once the parts came in then Hurricane Ian hit and caused more problems but Abbott Air worked hard to make sure that our a/c unit finally worked. I have learned to rely on Abbott Air for my air conditioning needs. Their entire organization from the office staff to the technicians and the owner are friendly, honest, reliable and trustworthy . Over the years I've had to rely on Abbott to provide their recommendations on my a/c in my condo when service is required when I've been living in my home in NY. They go out of their way to make it an excellent experience. Their communication via text and email regarding day of service appointment status, follow up is outstanding. I highly recommend Abbott for anyone who needs HVAC assistance. read more

WE had experienced many problems with a brand new system in our new house build ending with a complete replacement. Abbot Air came through with not only a much better brand with a higher energy rating but also a beautiful install. It's much better looking and added much needed head room in the garage. Not only that, they fixed the poor ductwork configuration we had going in the attic where one side of the house was always 10 degrees warmer. If this wasn't enough a couple years down the road the float switches failed probably from storm damage but Abbot Air came through and covered it in a warranty for me. SWEET!! Most recently the above caused a mold issue inside the air handler. YUCK!! My wife and I have some major health issues and this was not good. Yep, Abbot Air came through again and sent out tech Ryan Camman. He had a full schedule and stupid stuff like this can back a guy's day up. Ryan didn't skip a beat and went to town cleaning the poop out of the unit. He stated my mess was a 7/10...meaning pretty bad. The end result of this is we get to breathe clean air and all the mold with it's smell is completely gone. So much Thanks to this company is simply not enough. The point of all of this is what other company goes through this trouble to resolve a problem for people. How many would've walked away. These guys don't give up and I am grateful of it. Hard to find this integrity these days. I would recommend this company hands down before the rest. They have more than earned my loyalty to them and the rest of you should too. Andy Abbott came out (on time) and worked up a reasonable estimate after going over all the myriad questions I had. He is patient and insightful. While my uneducated assumption was to replace the unit and air handler, he pointed out that the ductwork is as old as the home (circa 1972) and that replacing the mess in the attic will bring on huge $ benefits. His fee to do that and all the other work is fair. I trust his expertise. read more
