We have come here so many times and every time, we have a ton of fun. Whether we come here for apple picking or some other fruit, we always find delicious picks. There are tons of apples when you go and you will never find yourself looking too long for a good pick, they are everywhere! The food and drinks they sell are very tasty as well. I love the apple cider slushies. They are delicious! I also always have to get an apple cider donut too. I highly recommend partaking in both every time you go there. There are also different games and animals to check out as well. The only issue I have about this farm is the price of their pumpkins are out of this world. I almost gave it 3 stars for that very reason. They price them by size and the largest ones can be quite expensive. I hate that concept with a passion and refuse to get pumpkins from here. I mean come on, you can literally drive to 3 other farms in the area and go pumpkin picking for 2 bucks a pumpkin and that goes for all sizes. Pumpkins are not a highcost item to produce and shouldn't be priced like this. So come here for the fruits, the fun, and the cider. I would like this orginization to understand that a true loyal customer that wants a few photo of the grandson picking apples at our local orchard should not take advantage of the moment and consider the long term effect of makng this a family friendly environment. We went on a 3 hr self-guided fieldtrip with 13 preschoolers, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! The children loved feeding the goats and seeing the bunnies, and had a great time with all of the Fun Zone activities! The new price structure was fair and definitely better aligned with the offerings of the farm. The apples were crisp and fresh- perfect! The staff were sweet and very helpful. This was a much different experience than we had last year, and we definitely felt like it was a good value. Our only request would be to bring back the chickens and the cow, if/when feasible! Not sure if i'm all that impressed here. The berry picking is across the street from the shop, but there were no signs directing where to get baskets for picking, but one would assume it's at the shed that is by the berries right?. We had been planning to go to another location for berry picking (which ended up being closed for season) so we had our reusable basket with us. I pulled into the little area with the shed where the berry picking is located and... still no signs on where to get baskets, but since we were already parked and out i just figured we would use our reusable one and go across to the shop at the end where i assume you'd pay for your berries. A man in the field came scoping out the berry situation and did politely tell me that the shop has the baskets and that i technically can't use my own... and that the shed has signs instructing that (it had zero signs). As we were walking out with our basket full of berries, i saw him examine the shed and realize that there were no signs and he did place one out there. No big deal... I went inside the store, and the ladies were kinda confused about the own personal bucket scenario. I explained that there was no instructions on where to get one when you park by the picking field and that i was planning on just dumping what i had picked into their baskets. They looked at me like i had two heads, but it seemed like a pretty simple enough concept. The girls at the register were acting like I committed a strawberry crime. The whole vibe was just strange and the lack of appropriate signs really just annoyed me. Probably wouldn't return. read more

I was really looking forward to this apple farm and was extremely disappointed. I felt like they had a lot of great elements but it felt disorganized. There was a line when my group arrived so we naturally assumed it was to enter since it went in for the parking lot. Instead the line for a pumpkin deal or something we going on. It was upsetting that we waited in line for something we never wanted only to leave after noticing the store next to us. This place is self-paced, but when we went to pick apples they wanted everyone in my group to pay even though everyone wasn't getting apples. I don't think that is fair for everyone to have to do separate payments for only 1/2 people to pick apples. We loved it here! We went thinking we would pick pumpkins but you just pick them off a cart. So many things to do here. We started with the hat ride which went around the entire farm. I lost my cell phone on the ride and the driver was so kind to help me look for it. I found it! Then we did the trampolines, face painting, slides, bounces houses and tiny playground. Used to be a really family friendly spot. Today myself and my 3 year old niece were harassed by one of the older women on the floor. Telling us we need bracelets to pick apples??? Then proceeded to follow us around the inside market with my family telling us everything is closing. It was 4:50pm. We went outside to check out the goats and we saw others in the back who also thought they closed at 6, as it says online. We played on their little playground with the kids for 5 minutes until the same lady appeared with two others and she proceeded to yell at us to leave...while ignoring the others walking by us. Then she said we didn't pick any apples and that we went in without a wristband, while yelling at us to grab the kid from the trampoline when he was crying because we were leaving. Wow. Money hungry and racist attitude chasing us around the farm because she probably didn't like that we were speaking in Arabic. Gtfoh and keep your little farm, all the other staff were great, I'm not sure what this lady's motive was but she definitely isn't getting out business anymore. Went to the blueberry festival, paid admission for me, mom (80 yrs old) and daughter (20 yrs old), arrived and found there was nothing for adults, just kids, requested refund since none of us wanted face painting or pony rides. Was shut down by 'manager' who just kept repeating, you accepted our terms and conditions over and over. Sent email later to management through website, received no response at all. Have told all our friends of this experience and all could have been prevented by just providing a simple refund instead of speaking to me like I am an imbecile. Lesson learned. read more

The Fall Festival at Abbott Farms was lovely but had some room for improvement. We purchased a bag so we could pick our own apples, and the attendant at the ticket booth told us the numbers of the rows that were open for picking, but couldn't tell us what kind of apples they were... and the apple varieties were not indicated out in the rows. And there were many rows. Many many rows. Which is a good thing, but by the time we got to the rows we thought we were supposed to go to, two of them were roped off entirely. We picked whatever was available, and I still have no idea what varieties we wound up with. Kiddo had a great time on the climbing structures, petting the horse, talking to the cow, and playing the water-pump-duck game. The pumpkin patch was great. COVID-wise, tey had a bathroom attendant to make sure social distancing was practiced indoors by the bathroom, and there was plenty of hand sanitizer to be found. We will return next year. read more

Came here for my birthday to go apple picking of the first time and to check out the pumpkins. Such a cute concept! We got the family sized bag for 5 of us to share. They give you a slip of paper indicating which rows have what apples. We ended up just picking a little bit of everything! It was really fun! They also have a big storefront and inside they sell lots of jams, cookie preps, pasta, more apples, etc. and they've got fresh pastries, alcoholic beverages, ice cream, and lots of other things. The pumpkin patch was small but had plenty of pumpkins to choose from. It wasn't muddy when we went so that was ideal. The workers were all very friendly and we had a great time. read more

I've been coming here for years and have always been pleased with the variety of applies, activities, foods, etc... that they offer. Now, it's a requirement for each individual person to buy a bag and get a band to even enter! You can enter the store, but cannot participate in anything until you pay the minimum of $15 a person. My wife and I only need a peck of apples, and $15 each for each peck is outrageous. I understand the rising costs of labor and maintenance of the fields from a business perspective, but it is dissapointing for those who want to just pick apples and dont participate in any of the other activities that you are now forced to pay for. We will be looking elsewhere for our apples from now on. read more

I came here to pick raspberries and blueberries but didn't realize that it was the end of the season. As a result, the blueberries were smaller than the ones that others picked in earlier parts of the season. End of September is when the berry season ends. Right now, it's apple, corn and pumpkin season. Their main shop sells ice cream and giftable items. The raspberries were funnest to pick. In order to get to the berry area, you have to drive your car away from their main shop, where you'd pay, and drive on a dirt path about a mile away. You get to pick berries and put it in a bucket. You can pay for the bucket at the end or you can choose to have them put your berries in a bag for you. We purchased around $10 worth of berries. This equaled around 8 full cups of berries. I thought it was a good deal for the fun experience. The bathroom here was very dirty. The main shop sells cookies, pastries, and drinks and has a sitting area both inside and outside. I did like how empty it was in the raspberry orchard area. It felt very remote and peaceful. I was a little confused where to park because there were no signs so I just drove up straight by the vines and parked right by where I was picking berries. There were several rows without berries. I was underwhelmed by the shop itself but enjoyed the autonomy in raspberry picking. There was no one there to instruct us on what rows we could or couldn't be in. It was very much based on trust that you'd come back to the shop, get your berries weighed, and paid for what you picked. read more

Would've been fine but then proceeded to wait literally 15-20 mins for ice cream. Combination of people cutting lines, paying after they got served, missing flavors. I am in love with Apples. Seriously. I balk at the ridiculous Red 'delicious' varieties people try to sell me. I wait anxiously for Pink Lady apples to make my famous cranberry-apple sauce. I've been known to eat apples as an entire meal. And as dessert, after. So, when we came to Auburn, NY to visit the boyfriend's dad, I got giddy. I knew we were in Apple Territory. We just don't have apple orchards in Texas, really. The weather just isn't right. Our peach orchards can kick your BUTT, but no apples. New York, however... TONS of orchards. I had so many to choose from when I randomly Googled "ORCHARDS! NEW YORK! GIMMIE APPLES!" (that's a lie- don't Google that. Lord knows what you'll get..). But based on the results, Abbott Farms looked really really promising. The website is well done and informative... It wasn't too far away from where we were staying in Auburn, and everything looks delicious. On the way we go! Ever since that first trip, Abbott's has been a MUST STOP place when we come to town. The cider they make on premises is amazing. The apple varieties are huge, and they let you pick your own apples if you want. You don't have to, though. There are giant bins you can select apples from if you want to go that route. Those apples are all delicious, too. Sometimes, the apple you really really want won't be available for YOU to pick yourself-- but check the bins. I couldn't pick Honeycrisp apples by hand, but I sure could buy 3 pounds of those mothers, pre-picked, right in the shop. When you go to pick your apples, they tell you which rows you can pick from and which varieties they are. I always get the small bag (which is a flat rate, I believe.. others might be done by weight) which fits 3-6 apples, depending on apple size. Picking apples is fun, but wandering through the delicious smelling apple trees is the BEST. They also have pumpkins! I love pumpkins. I love Autumn. I love it all. Abbott Farms means that to me. When I'm there in New York, I know it's Autumn by the sheer fact that I'm.. well.. in New York, and that's the only time we go. But it really FEELS like it because we go to Abbott's and get a ton of cider, apples, fudge, and maybe a pumpkin. They also have delicious ice cream and snacks here. Mmm. Plus, they make their own caramel dip that is just so tasty with their apples. Abbott Farms gets 100% 5-stars from me. It's everything a Texas girl like myself dreams of when she thinks.. It's really too bad but Abbott's has changed. My husband and I stopped by to pick apples but now each person must buy a bag to fill. We did not want that many apples so left. The store seemed pretty wiped out compared to how it used to be, with not much selection. Things just seemed more run down than I remembered and could use a refresh. Super cute Apple farm! We parked right next to the chicken pen and omg they were so cool. They come right up to you, like dogs! Goats too! I love that. The apples for picking are easy access. Plan on walking further into the orchard aisles to get the better apples. Snack bar, little store on premises too. And a corn maize, rides, etc for families or anyone interested. I was a bit disappointed that they only had macs and galas for u-pick. They are good tasting apples though. I prefer snapdragons and sweetangos which I didn't see here. I guess different orchards have different varieties. Enjoyed the day here though. Even if it was hotter than hell. LOL! read more

We came here in mid-June to help the bf's sister pick her annual share to start making jams and jellies for the winter, and to freeze some for the fall. What ended up happening was a family-wide strawberry picking spree where we picked almost 70 lb -worth of strawberries to bring back for cooking. The beauty about these strawberries? Terrible service. Ordered peaches to be shipped to a sick family member across states and even paid expedited 3-day shipping. After the peaches arrived 10 DAYS LATER, mushy and disgusting, my family member had to throw them out. Because I understand how challenging things can be during COVID-19, I did not even ask for my money to be refunded for the peaches, only the extra shipping I paid. Was told that only 3-day select shipping was guaranteed, not 3-day ground. First of all, that was not even an option when shipping. Secondly, if you can't back your shipping services, you shouldn't use them. The customer service is terrible and the management incompetent. I am a Director of Sales for a major hotel chain and would NEVER expect someone in hospitality to treat a customer this way. Used to go occasionally for the corn maze... Everything was extremely overpriced and had huge lines, but I tried to support the local business. Then this past summer an organization I was working with decided to have a pancake breakfast there. Abbotts would (did) get all of the profits, and it was just for joint publicity. It was awful. The food wasn't ready, there was no organization, we did all the set up, and they refused to accept people coming in that hadn't bought pre-sale tickets. We were never informed of this policy and when we tried to give them more business (and money!), they sent customers away and continually yelled at us. All but one staff person were rude the entire time and it was a terrible experience. Seeing others on social media having similar terrible experience reminded me that I never left a review of our horrendous experience there. Never going again. read more

What a lovely farm. If you're looking for authentic apple picking that's not-so commercialized then this is a great place. They offer quite a variety of apples and let you choose which ones to pick (unlike other farms which decide for you).
