What a cute apple orchard! I loved that there was a general store filled with local produce and a variety of apple based desserts. Between the various food trucks, fritter stand, and the food hall, Navarino Orchard offers plenty of food choices! I ended up buying a pint of apple cider from the general store and an apple cider donut from the donut truck behind the store (the general store only sells donuts in multi-packs, whereas you can buy single donuts from the truck) Tip: remember to bring cash as the donut truck *only* accepts cash! We went to Navarino for apple picking and lunch, and had such a great time we went back for brunch another day. We loved that the orchard was dog friendly, and that we could walk out and pick wherever we saw apples. We got lots of honeycrisps, and some apples for baking as well. There were lots of other dogs around, so it's definitely best for well behaved dogs, but we didn't find it too crowded overall. The café was very good. We had delicious burgers for lunch, and I enjoyed a cider mule as well. When we returned for brunch, I had the breakfast poutine- which was good but a huge serving and plenty to share- and my husband had the breakfast sandwich. We also got a mimosa flight which was good! The tables outside are dog friendly, and they had heaters running for the tables inside. The Apple fritter line was long when we first arrived, but went down later in the day, so I'd recommend waiting for a shorter line. The store is also great. Their cider is very good, and they have a nice selection of cheeses and meats like steak and bacon. We love the peanut butter cookies they sell as well! read more

Another authentic farm we visited on our Fall fun frenzy. We ventured around the patches to find the perfect pumpkins. We purchased two large pumpkins for $12. They have apple's, squash, and gourd's galore. A small general store packed with fall goodies and apple pies, fritters, fudge, apple cider, and more available. The large barn was hosting a private event, will have to return to see what is available. Unfortunately we missed out on the cafe, looks like they do in fact offer meals, mimosa flights, mules, and more. They did have a food truck on site as well. read more

I live in the apple orchards area, my property line is next to apple trees and they create a beautiful view in springtime. We use Navarino as our go to. Beautiful apples, strawberry fields available as well"you pick", the children love to pick their own.. There are 2 beautiful golden retrievers to greet you to the store. Came out to do some apple picking over the weekend. I was worried that because it was a bit later in the season, it might be slim pickings, but there were quite a few varieties ripe and ready. The orchard posts which types of apples are pickable on their Facebook page. Location-wise, this spot is a big of a drive from Syracuse. We passed 3 or 4 other orchards on our way, so I suppose you could do a crawl if you were so inclined. The drive out was pretty pleasant, nice scenery. Our first stop upon arriving was the fritter stand (only open on the weekends, to my knowledge.) My friend got the fritters and I got a fritter sundae and we both got hot cider. They were delicious, perfectly warm and tasty. Also, the family's cute dog came and said hello. We arrived around 10:30 or 11 and it wasn't too crowded, though it picked up a bit by the time we left-- still, not overwhelming. The rows of trees were marked and easy to walk, and there were some ladders strewn about to help reach the tall branches. The price was very reasonable. We hit up the gift shop before we left and scored some cider donuts and cheap veggies. (Seriously, farm stands are the best. We got tons of cheap squash.) The staff was very friendly and you can tell that this place is family run and customer centric. Great spot to visit in the fall. read more

I haven't made it in to the barn with fireplace and drinks to keep warm with, both alcoholic and non alcoholic, which looked very inviting but we wanted to get home and get baking. Lots of apple choices you can walk a short distance to, easily found by the signs at the end of the rows. A wagon occasionally runs through likely more useful after picking an abundance of apples, but we chose to walk and enjoy the view and the fresh air. Paying is easy at the shed on the way out and the shop has lots of apple foods and items as well as maple syrup and bbq sauces which were also out front with a very good tasting offered. Fresh baked apple pies, donuts, etc also in the shop. I grabbed a candy apple for a friend. We were picking the weekend of the apple festival in Lafayette and while busy was not overcrowded or over commercialized. We also pick other fruits here in season! read more

This was our first time getting brunch here, there was plenty of barn seating and a few outdoor tables. You order at the bar off a limited menu. There is no tapwater, if you want water you pay two dollars extra. They are also not very flexible with the menu, for instance someone requested a side of bacon and that was a no go. We ordered the French toast of the day which was made with apple bread and very tasty. Coffee was ok, no specialty coffees but lots of booze options if you're a morning drinker :) I recommend checking out the baked goods in the market afterwards, they look great! read more

I went here yesterday with my friend for the Harry Potter 20 year anniversary celebration. When we pulled up there was a HUGE line, and we thought whoa! What are they waiting for? Turns out the orchard underestimated the turn out for the event. They were swamped! And the crew was working as hard as they possibly could to keep everyone happy. We stood in line for about an hour and a half, but it was really a lot of fun. The owner came out multiple times, apologized and made sure everyone was as happy as they could be. Went to Navarino to pick apples and grab lunch. One thing I love about this orchard is that they let you pick whatever is ripe, rather than only picking one kind like some of the other orchards in the area. We tried the new cafe for the first time. The burger was super flavorful and the fries were good. My fiancé got the roast beef sandwich and said that was good as well, although he thought it would be even better hot. They have a good selection of local beer and local liquor in their cocktails. Fruit picking seems like a really huge deal in this area, so I definitely wanted to experience this tradition to its fullest. Unfortunately, apples weren't in season, but strawberries and raspberries are plentiful in the summer. The boyfriend and I pulled up to the main store and saw pre-picked fruits, pies, breads, and gifts galore. I ultimately walked out with an apple bread loaf and a banana blueberry one after picking fruit. If you're wanting to pay with card, you pick the fruit first and then come back to the main store to pay. If you have cash, you can pick the fruit out in the field and pay out there at the stand. The orange flagged rows are the ones where the strawberries are ready to be picked and there are plenty of rows, so don't worry. The bf filled up his aqua blue basket pretty quickly, but I was scouring for the "weird" looking strawberries because those ones never make it to grocery stores so they're extra special. After 2 full berry baskets, we made our way back to the main store and paid $3.55 for the strawberries and about $3 each for the bread loaves. read more

We visited the new cafe, Navarino Orchard Cafe, that just opened in June 2021. Without any expectations outside of knowing the market always was pleasant for baked goods and whatnot, we are delighted by look, feel, and quality of everything in the cafe! TLDR: Highly recommend! The cafe is in the barn next to the market that has been beautifully revamped by the owner. It retains its rustic interior with beams of wood hewn from 17th century trees (yes, barn originally built in the 1800's per the chef). It is lit with cast iron chandeliers and strung lights in the eaves. A new wooden floor has about a dozen tables with sturdy chairs that Al fit the rustic vibe. The bar is from a single side of wood that appeared to be 20-25 feet long. The bar...The Bar! was comfortable and felt homey. The drink menu (see pic) is comprised of all New York products. We started by sharing a Mule Flight (see pic). It consisted of the regular mule and strawberry mules made with vodka, Kentucky mule (bourbon) and Irish mule (whiskey). All were delicious (he liked the vodka one best, I liked the others best so it was a perfect selection for us. As it was midday on a Thursday there was only one other group dining so we chatted up the staff who happen to be the owners/family. Very friendly and we loved hearing inside scoop about how the cafe came to be, what is yet to come (e.g., kitchen to be more fully developed), and how the orchard runs. We nibbled on the humus and veggies with another drink. The generous portion of garlic humus with spears of carrots, cucumber and celery was tasty and literally made an hour before we arrived. Yum! We will be back and highly recommend for a drink, a light meal, gathering with friends/family. read more

Stopped in today for their last picking of strawberries and what a surprise to find a brand new Cafe. They had a variety of homemade food made to order perfect for being on a farm. We ordered the steak salad and charcuterie board. Great portions and really hit the spot on this hot day. The strawberry mule was delicious. Next time I'd like to try the mimosa flight as the couple next to me had one. They had inside and outside seating to accommodate everyone. We sat outside as we brought the dog and our kids played with the goats. The farm next door had all kinds of homemade goodies. We bought the strawberry cream pie and looking forward to that. The man who works here is a mean jerk. If you pet his golden retrievers, who sit in front of the store, he'll chew you out and say you are attacking his dogs or riling them up, even though they obviously want attention. He will also put the good produce in the front, then tell you that you can't have that because he is setting that aside for restaurants. Go to Ontario Orchards instead. read more

I went strawberry picking opening weekend on Sunday. It had been picked over the day before. All that was left were pretty small. My kids had fun, which was the main reason to go. There is a store for prepicked berries and other items. In the fall there are apples as well. read more

I've never been here but I felt I needed to write a review, I was visiting the area and looking for a place to go to pick apples and eat pie!! Other places were extremely commercialized and I couldn't get ahold of anyone(All automated systems) I called Navarino and I got a person on the first ring!!! He advised it wasn't season yet but let me know when season was and it was so nice to be able to speak to a human being on the phone. If I am up that way ever again I will deff visit!! read more

We were excited to come here a friend raved about it and told us they allow dogs and that she had seen some folks with dogs in the orchard over the weekend. We are working on training and socializing our puppy so we thought it was the perfect place to do some practice for him and a little fall fun for us. we came on a slightly rainy Wednesday morning to ensure it wasn't busy and as soon as we got out of the car a dog started to approach our vehicle and we were being shouted at that they have an intact male dog and not to let him near us, this man proceeded to yell at us about our dog telling us we had to put him away right now rather than trying to get his dog from coming up to us. we put our pup away quickly and left, as he was going back inside he threw his hands up in the air yelling just go home. I think it's insane to scream at customers about your dog at your place of business rather than keeping him away from customers. read more
