Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experience the receptionist is the most disgusting dirty unprofessional miserable person I have ever met she had a used cigarette on the side of her desk my Husband pointed it out she looked at him like he did it what kind of business you have that people are smoking in the store.When renting a couch it was one price then it changed to another when it was time to put the money down.When it was time to pick up the couch they didn't come when they was suppose to and had terrible attitude about it.I would never recommend anyone even if you Desperate go without it. read more

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!! We called and made a reservation for a chair to be delivered at an event space in the Bronx. Unfortunately the venue could not accommodate the 4 hour delivery window that Abbott's requested. As a result we had to pick up the chair on our own. Once we arrived, we met Jodien and received the worst customer service known to man! Not only is Jodien a disgusting, immature and uncouth individual, she has a very dismissive and intolerable attitude. After being told that a debit card would be suffice for pick up, we were then told we must have a cash deposit. Jodien the Great, then told us in the most disrespectful tone she could muster, that the gas station at the corner has an ATM. If we had more time to shop around we would NEVER have continued doing business with them. To make matters worst. after giving over $450 in cash we were then told that she "does not have change" and did not even offer a receipt of the transaction. If this is how Abbott's Party Rental continues to do business, they should reconsider it! read more

Used this company to rent out a few chairs for a housewarming and it went pretty well. It costs $1.50 per each Samsonite folding chair along with a $50 security deposit when you go pick them up. I think you can also place the order ahead over the phone. They have a nice inventory as per what I saw in the office, you can also check their website for a complete list of pricing and items. One thing that took me as a surprise was that everything had to be paid in cash. They also took a copy of my credit card and ID - I'm guessing as more security in case the chairs weren't returned. I think it'd be nice if these policies were mentioned on the website and over the phone when you call to inquire. Also note they're not open Sundays. I read a few things about the staff being rude but that was not our experience at all. Would use them again for an event! read more

I rented some tables for my Foster Shower and I must say this company was truly a blessing. As soon as I called they politely helped me even with my few questions I had back and forth. Jodien is an extremely sweet women who truly patiently helped me. The tables were dropped off and picked up when they said they would. It was an extreme smooth transaction. SIMPLY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RENTAL PLACE! Placed an order for chair covers and other items in May. Two months later and 1 week before my baby shower I was given a call by one of the staff that was very unprofessional and told that they do not have the color I originally ordered. When I asked why did they wait to call me a week b4 my event she stated that they never had the color in the warehouse. When asked how come I wasn't given this information the day I placed my order she proceeded to say we have in white. Very standoffish, never answered any questions as well as disregarded my concerns, my frustrations and did not give any apologies for the confusion, or any accommodations. I demanded a refund of my deposit once she issued the return receipt I asked how long will it take for the deposit to hit the card she said take it up with your bank. Very very rude, lack professionalism and customer service. Whats affordable can also become a headache. Do not recommend at all! read more

I highly recommend Abbott's Party Rentals! As I received my tables and chairs delivery for a party the next day, I realized that it really was going to rain and I needed tents. After a quick phone call to the office, they agreed to come back and deliver tents later that afternoon. The delivery guys were great guys, very helpful and they set the tents up and took them down at pick up! Abbott's Rentals saved my son and his friend's college graduation party! It was a huge success and I have Abbott's Rentals to thank for that! read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My friend and I threw an event and needed to rent out some chairs. We researched affordable places that were nearby and came across this terrible place. Beginning with the initial phone call to place an order for the chairs, I was given an attitude when asked how to spell my name, and about the pick-up and drop off dates. Though the phone call was a turn off I decided to still use their services. Throughout the week I kept receiving random phone calls from Abbott asking for different people. This shows how unprofessional they are with client information. Upon picking up the chairs I wasn't greeted when I walked in the store. There was a guy laying down on the chair and a lady talking on the phone. VERY SLOPPY. After she's done and off the phone I told her that I came to pick up the chairs, she then asked the guy who was laying down to put the chairs in the jeep for me. He gets up and SUCKS HIS TEETH while putting his work shirt over his T-shirt. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The chairs were good enough for the event. My mother did me a favor and returned the chairs for me since I work during their hours of operations. I forgot to warn her about the rudeness of the people who own the place so she had her own experience to share. When dropping off the chairs she stated that one of the guys there was being very rude to her. When she arrived, she waited 10 minutes to be addressed since the worker was on the phone, then after being off the phone he asked her to verify my identification which she did, but while making smart remarks about my name. My mother demanded my deposit back, but the guy stood there with the deposit in his hand out of spite. She had to approach him and take the receipt and money out of his hand to end this ridiculous confrontation. AGAIN, though their prices are affordable, I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Unless you want to deal with RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and CONFRONTATIONAL individuals. read more

Very helpful staff. They go the extra mile to make sure we got the chair we wanted. We needed a chair for the next day and the staff called other places to help us find exactly what we needed. Great company. They get the job done. read more
