My wife and I searched for and toured many daycares. We were looking for one that we could trust with a safe and clean environment. We both work full time jobs and were in need of finding a daycare that we could rely on. Since almost all daycares have a waiting list we were particular about which one to decide on. We chose "Shahbazian Family Child Care" because Renya and her mother seemed like nice people. Our son was 18 months old at the time and it was his first time away from home. We were told by Renya that he was a bit fussy and would not nap with the other children. Renya advised us that it was normal and he would get used to it and adjust over time. A few weeks go by and we were told that some days he was good, and some days he was fussy. Again, she told us he just needs time to adjust. After two months, Renya told my wife that our son required too much attention and he would cry hysterically whenever she would leave the room. She also said that he was not napping long enough, and it was causing an issue with the other children. Renya told my wife that she would no longer be able to care for our son at her daycare because she could not handle him. My wife and I were both in shock because we put a lot of time and effort into searching for a reliable daycare for our child, and now we were being told that he can no longer stay at the daycare because he requires too much attention. I was perplexed by this because don't all children require attention? Especially an 18 month old? We told Renya that we needed some time to find another form of childcare, and she gave us two weeks. That didn't leave us with much time to find someone, but we had no other choice. In the meantime we had to continue taking our child to the Shahbazian Daycare until we were able to find someone else. It was a very uncomfortable feeling knowing that you have to drop your son off with someone who isn't capable of taking care of him. We were both extremely concerned. With a lot of hard work, we managed to find a decent person who could actually be attentive and care for our son. Someone who was able to give an 18 month old the love and attention ALL children require. We were able to find this person in 10 days, and on my sons last day at the Shahbazian Family Child Care, if you want to call it that, we were told that we would not be getting our $500 deposit back! This completely contradicted what is written in the contract. However, Renya told us that we will not be getting our deposit refunded to us. She told us that it was to cover our childs last two weeks in her care. Yet, thats not what is written in the contract. At this point both my wife and I felt extremely disrespected and were fed up with the whole daycare situation. We were just happy that our child was not going to be left in a place that was not able to handle a crying baby. My son would come home in famine every day. Was feeding a child too much to handle also? Overall, if you are considering placing your child at the Shahbazian Family Child Care, I highly advise you NOT to. Not only may your child not get the attention they need and kicked out of the daycare, but you will be conned out of your money. For the sake of your child, please look elsewhere. read more

My husband and I were nervous about looking for daycares for the obvious reasons, but also because our daughter was born with a cleft lip/palate. We weren't sure anyone would want to take on the extra stress of what some would consider a special needs baby. We were on the waiting list at another daycare but couldn't get a clear answer about whether or not a spot would be open when they initially told us it would, and decided we needed to look around for another daycare center. We happened upon Shahbazian Family Child Care at the perfect time. They were just opening and were taking new kids one at a time. We met Renya and Anita and it was immediately obvious that they love kids. They weren't at all taken aback with our daughter's cleft and the fact that she'd need a little bit of special treatment. On our daughter's first day, we were sent updates, photos, and she was sent home with some artwork to commemorate her first day of daycare. We knew from that moment that we made a good choice. Renya and Anita have been great with our daughter. They assisted greatly with her post-surgery care and have been willing and able to accommodate any special instructions from her doctors. We get photo/video updates and artwork sent home, and she seems to have a really good time when she's there. They are great with tips/advice/second opinions since they have more experience with kids than we do. It was really hard leaving an 11-week old baby in the care of almost strangers, but Renya and Anita have been great and our worries went away quickly. Would highly recommend this daycare! read more

Let me begin this review by saying thank you to Renya with all my heart, finding her and Shahbazian Family Child Care was an answered prayer to my family and I. Transitioning my daughter into daycare from being taken care of at home by my sister was huge. I was extremely worried and stressed out, trying to find a daycare provider that had room or would even return my phone call/email. This was one of the hardest situations I've ever gone through. Then came Renya, the only provider that returned my phone call immediately and from that first initial call, put my heart at ease. My daughter recently started with Renya at around 10 months old and it has been a seamless transition. I brought along my whole family - husband, Mom, and sisters to the first meeting and tour of the facility. My daughter went to her with no fuss and I could tell from the start, Renya is a natural with children. She is so warm, kind, inviting, and knows what she's doing. The home is immaculate and the children's areas are so cute and clean! Huge backyard with toys, activities, art, and environment full of love. My daughter is thriving with Renya. I keep in touch throughout the day - she sends me updates and pictures. I know she's busy with the kids but I really appreciate her taking the time to let me know my daughter is doing well and is happy. My baby has a long day as both my husband and I work full time, and let me express what a blessing it is to know our baby is well taken care of. She comes home happy as can be with the cutest art projects, smile, and belly full. I love that Renya makes homemade food for the kids. She has a curriculum and program for the kids that is explained thoroughly to the parents. She really loves these kids like her own. I can go on and on. I count myself so very lucky to have found her, she is a part of our family. I am so grateful that my daughter is part of the Shahbazian childcare family and will be for years to come. We love Renya. We originally transferred from another daycare. There are so many toys to play with, the kids doesn't want to leave at the initial interview and kept asking to go back. After we got into the daycare, our son didn't want to leave at the end of the day, often times crying about staying longer, and I had to convince him to leave. While my son was a baby, we didn't have to worry about diaper care at shahbazian family child care because they are always on top of it and the kids are always changed when needed. I never had to worry about my sons' nutrition either. My son was a very picky eater that would not eat anything greens or any vegetables, however, they would eat everything they are fed at shahbazian family child, including peas, corn, carrots, tomatoes etc. On top of great child care, my baby boy was very prepared academically! Each child gets individual work according to their level, and gets individual attention academically. They allow each child to grow academically at their own pace and doesn't limit their potential at a fix level. Another reason why I love Renya and her child care. This is in response to Sam S's review. My daughter was there when your son first started with this day care. And I have to say that you have no idea how your son disrupted the care and routine set forth by this group. Up until your son started my daughter would come home very happy and well rested. After your son started, my daughter would come home a cranky, tired mess. I witnessed your son screaming at the top of his lungs during the kids nap time and his actions would wake up all the kids, who then became very cranky and hard to handle for this group. My daughter finished her stay at Shabazian Family Child care one week after your son started and that last week was only hard because your son would not let anyone nap. Napping is very important for children, and your child would not allow that to occur. So I completely agree with their decision because your son was really messing with 5 other children's moods, schedules, and ability to get their much needed rest. You should think of what was really occurring instead of blaming this daycare for doing what was best for all the children that they care for. Remember most of the children there were under one years old and they had to consider that their health was at risk because they were not getting enough rest. So I ask you to not be selfish and understand that this group quickly understood that your son needed special attention, and gave you enough time to find a more suitable place for him to thrive, as they knew and understood that is exactly what he needed. One day you will look back and realize that because they had a big boy conversation with you, your son was able to go to a better suited place for him being a very highly active child. Please put your self in the shoes of the other parents, like me, who were dealing with a very cranky, irrational child because your child would not allow them to get their much needed rest. If you were in my shoes, you would have demanded that the owner do exactly what she did. read more

My niece has been taken care of by Renya for the last few months now and I have to say every time I pick up my niece she comes home happy and with a smile on her face. I have toured the business it's all new clean spotless and well organized area is secured and I noted there is even a designated built room for their service which is child proof and safe. They are properly equipped and professional. Even when talking with Renya and watching the videos she posts daily with my niece I can see the love and affection shown. I am happy I found them and feel confident and safe taking my niece here. I would recommend to any parent wanting the best for their child. Our daughter had the privilege of attending Renya's daycare for about six months before we had to switch her to a different one due to job/location change. I cannot say enough good about Renya and her facility -- especially her new location! It's a great child-to-caregiver ratio, always SPOTLESS, and Renya is so caring and bonded with the children that it's impressive. Our daughter loved every day there and didn't want to leave. When our son was only 4 months old my wife and I had to return to work. Finding someone you can trust to watch your first born child is a scary and stressful time, especially for new parents. We don't have any family in California so finding someone to watch our baby was extremely important. We were blessed to find Renya and Shahbazian Family Day Care. From the first day Renya was attentive to our every wish when caring for our son. She took him in as one of her own and gave him incredible care. She listened to our fears and was understanding of everything we asked. We probably were a little over-protective of our baby but Renya always worked with us. We felt comfortable leaving him with someone because she earned our trust very quickly. Renya is caring, responsible, loving, smart, experienced and professional. I can't imagine a family day-care that provides the love and attention Renya has given. I cannot recommend enough. We no longer are enrolled in Shahbazian Family Child Care as our boy is now at pre-school but if you are considering enrolling here and you are lucky enough to see a spot available, jump on it. We LOVE Renya! Her and Anita take the best care of our baby! Finding a daycare to leave your child at is super stressful. We had to start our baby in daycare when he was just 4 months old and if it wasn't for Renya, I wouldn't have survived it. Our little guy is so loved and so well taken care of, it makes being a working mom a little bit easier. I know he is off having fun, playing and learning all day. I get updates and pictures so I know what's going on at all times. Her daycare is spotless and filled with tons of toys for little ones of all ages. She is great cook and feeds the kids super yummy meals and respects any special requests you have regarding food or any other developmental stage that you are in. She really is like family and we cherish her deeply for loving and caring for the most important little person in my husband and my life (our son). I recommend Renya a million times over. Renya and her mom Anita are magical. Our daughter Lexi loves going to daycare. She gets excited every time we arrive. It's such a relief to know Lexi is in good hands every day while we are at work. And Renya stays in communication throughout the day via the Kinderlime app, sending cute photos and messages about when Lexi naps. The kids eat healthy, organic food and get lots of playtime both inside and outside. Lexi is also very well socialized thanks to this great daycare. Plus, Renya has a curriculum theme every month where the children learn about things like musical instruments or bugs and butterflies. We are so fortunate to have found Shahbazian Family Child Care. EXCEPTIONAL! Absolutely incredible day care. I cannot say enough great things about this child care. It truly is like a small family and that is all you want for your child. The smile on my son's face every morning is a HUGE telling point for me & he is only 8 months old! I LOVE dropping my son at day care every morning because I know that he is extremely well looked after, cared for and even loved very much. Renya and Anita are a big part of our lives and I am so so so grateful for them. They care about his learning and development and even teach me a thing or two. I wasn't too excited to go back to work after bonding with my newborn for 4 months and having to put him in day care so young was difficult to start. Renya assured me that he was in the best care. She worked with us to allow him to stay on schedule at home and at day care. We worked together to keep the baby on the same routine even down to how we all held him. She fed him exactly when and how we asked her to, she spent time rocking him exactly the way we requested, she sent us updates the way we needed. She always listened to us and made us feel like we weren't crazy. Just incredible! She is very trustworthy and she gained my trust almost immediately (which isn't easy to do). She updates us with photos all the time and I especially love when my son came home at 4 months old with ART! She has gone above and beyond for our family to make sure we felt comfortable. She also doesn't over extend her day care, due to wanting to attentively care for each child, which I find very reassuring. I honestly don't believe that any one could care for our child better than Renya and Anita. We think of them as Avery's primary care givers.
