I would not buy another things ever out of that store. They are money hungry people that own rent that store. I was about 10 feet away from their store , so I am also a business owner too, so I set up my table to sell Lububu back packs for back to school, they came out screaming and hollering that I don't belong there selling, and called the police on me. Police came asked to see my selling license and I showed them..he said what's the problem then"? I said I don't know I was bothering anyone but selling, no where near their store..It's a plaza other stores are connected. These people are Asian or some type Chinese culture that rent the store ABC.. As many times as our black community has supported these people and still are they even have African Americans people working for them in the community but you can't support another business owner They have made Millions of dollars from our African American culture but you can't share the space.. I've purchased a lot out of their store and so has my family for years. Never again. They won't get my black dollars. Well the police said I can sell on the side walk No One Owns That. ABC Beautiful Supply has issues. They have a problem with customer service. Linda is the main one that helps you and most of the time she's friendly and very understanding. Today what I heard and witness was down right wrong. As black people we've had to deal with a lot just to be excepted and I never thought that a place as simple as a hair store would display the behavior that I saw today. They don't realize that if we boycott their store for a length of time they would be out of business. I've had problems with the one cashier over and over again. They believe that everyone who walks through their door will steal from them. Black people appreciate this type of business but the behavior has to go. I've lived near this store for years but only decided to check it out very recently. At first I was pleasantly surprised and very happy with the product selection. However, the customer service was atrocious! Every time I go in there it seems like there is a different problem. I asked about the return policy and was told you could return anything unopened with a receipt up to two weeks and after that you could only get store credit. It turns out that those are not the rules. Returns must be made in 7 days. When I tried to make a return she just pointed to where it said 7 days on the receipt. I hadn't bothered to look, stupid me, I figured an employee would give me the correct information. The next time I went to the store I tried to purchase about $8 worth of products and they refused to take my debit card because I didn't spend $8.50! I mean really!?! This isn't a small town gas station. Finally, the worst part. The owners and employees watch you shop as though they have no doubt you're a criminal. It's an unsettling feeling to be watched and treated like you're a thief who is out to pull a "fast one," on them. Everything is covered with these metal antitheft stickers that leave a sticky residue and ruin the packaging when you attempt to take them off at home after purchase. Don't expect to display any of these sticky bottles on your vanity, etc. It's ridiculous to be this suspucios of everyone. Also, some of their merchandise is old and even expired. This place has a nice selection of hair care and cosmetic products. They also have nice fashion pieces such as earrings, headbands, scarves & hats. They have a lot of premium products such as E'Tae, Design Essentials, Mizani & lots of trial product packets etc... A few reasons why I won't ever visit this place again. If you have a problem with theft, don't be so hyper vigilant that you make your paying customers feel unwelcomed. There was an older lady behind the counter that stared and came near me pretty often yet never offered me any assistance. Pretty rude, huh? There was another younger lady there that did offer me assistance and seemed really pleasant. She was helpful in assisting me to choose a replacement comb and accessory for my blow dryer which is imperative for a natural hair gal. The worst beauty supply I went to. The prices are so high and the quality of the products are not worth it. You are not allowed to try on wigs due to the "health department" so if you want a wig you have to buy it first. After you buy the wig there is no refund or exchange so you are stuck with that wig. I personally would not recommend this store to anyone that needs to buy a wig. You should go somewhere else such as Hally's wigs in Laurel. Hally is amazing and she will try to negotiate with you for the price. read more

The worst beauty supply I've ever been to. Everytime I come to this store I have a bad experience. Needless to say, I refuse to shop here anymore. I went in to buy a particular kind of hair. I was not sure how many bundles I need, so i asked the cashier if I could return these if i got too many. She said yes. I purchased them and ended up not using a pack. I read the receipt that says I am only allowed store credit, no refund. My assumption when I asked if I could return it, was that I could get my money back. When I brought the hair back up, the lady tells me that I wasnt specific enough when I asked about returning it. I said well if you were considerate, you would have made sure I knew that I couldnt get a refund without me asking specifically. She tells me that the rules are on the receipt. To which I said, when I asked you, I obviously did not have a receipt yet. The second time I went there out of pure desperation. I had my three year old daughter with me who was very curious about the things in the store. She touched things and such but not to the point of breaking anything. The lady in the store asked me to tell my daughter to stop touching stuff and began to chastise her. I told the lady that I can handle my own daughter and if anything gets broken I can pay for it. My daughter was not touching fine china. Bottles of hair lotion will not break if she puts her hand on it to ask me what it is. I came in there for a wig. After seeing a few I liked, i wanted to try them on. I was told that I could not try wigs on. To which I replied, how am I supposed to know if the wig will look good on my hair if I cant try it on. I was told "I can bring them over to you so you can see them better"/ Again, the worst beauty supply I've ever been to. I'd rather travel to my old neighborhood in Randallstown than go here. i love this beauty supply store , they always have everything i need from the gel , to the edge control , to the exact brush i need. they do seem a little suspicious because people that work there follow you around the store , and they also don't ask if you need help with anything your purchasing. it doesn't bother me because i never need help , but at least make people feel more welcome as they're walking into your store. read more

**ALERT** Do not shop here. One of my family members was shopping here and when she handed her card to the cashier (Named Linda - who is the "manager") which was not signed, she did not ask for ID. My family member asked if she wanted to see her ID, and the cashier got smart with her and told her she didn't need to see it b/c what she was buying didn't cost that much. What the heck? Then they proceeded to treat her poorly and called my family member and her friend "Ghetto trash". Are you freaking kidding me? My family member and her friend are articulate, educated women, with degrees and good manners. The fact that they were treated this way is absolutely appalling. I went to the ABC Beauty Supply store today 06-29-2014 with my sister. On this particular day I was treated awful. I asked the young Asian lady for help and she helped me. I asked for a particular style of hair and she started showing me hair styles that were similar. When I told her that wasn't the style I was going for she became angry and very disrespectful. She began telling me I don't know what I want and kept being rude and disrespectful. I said I know what I want and she from the way it sounded figured she knew better than I did what I wanted. To me it was like you take what I give you attitude. My thing is these people know African American females want there product so and I would think they would try to hide their ignorance and racist personality. I will NEVER spend another dime in this store!!! This has been my neighborhood beauty supply store for well over 10 years. I have spent countless amounts of money there. Last week I spent about $30 on makeup and picked up a pair of hoops for $2. Well the next day I went to wear the earrings and they were broken. I went back to the store that evening with my receipt and explained I would like to exchange them. They wouldn't allow it. I reiterated that I wasn't asking for anything but another pair because they sold them to me broken. Then, they started having a conversation in their native language like I wasn't standing there. RUDE!! I was then told it was store policy and I should have inspected the earrings before I left. I was pissed! It wasn't even about the cheap earrings at this point. It was about the principle. I was thinking about all the money I have spent in the store and you weren't willing to make an exception for what I thought was a valued customer.
