NEWS FLASH: Booze is booze. Everybody sells it; everywhere. Went into this store yesterday. While cashing out we asked the checkout guy for help with the app so we could join the site and get points for our purchase. NOPE, he doesn't know how to work it. Asked the checker right next to him to help; NOPE couldn't help. Are you kidding me! These TWO had no interest to ask another employee, like the floor manager to help us. Nor to take it as a learning experience so that when future shoppers asked for the same help, they'd be able to seamlessly assist the buyer and convert them into a repeat CUSTOMER. No wonder these kids are being toted to be adject failures in life as they spent too much time on their phones, have developed NO life skills and cannot communicate with other humans. If I was a manager at ABC, these two would be gone. Or if tolerated locally and I was the DM for ABC in this territory, I'd fire the floor manager. ABC has way too much competition to tolerate this ineptness and customer apathy. If this happened to me, it's happening to many.... read more

They appear to have a good selection of wines and liquor. Unfortunately, that was not what I was here for. There are a number of beer manufacturers that make canned Micheladas (Budweiser, Modelo, Dos, Equis, Pacifico) but they don't carry ANY of them at ABC. to make this less acceptable, when I asked if they carried it, I was told I can get it at a restaurant. Well, I know I can because there are restaurants that are aware that people order it. When I can get some thing at my local corner store but this liquor store doesn't care of it, that is laughable. read more

They need better employees... I'm with my girlfriend and we go checkout with 4 bottles. The guy asks me for both of our ids. Like really dude it's not Florida law you're just being extra. And it's bourbon how many 21 year old girls drink bourbon. Whatever we are both 21 so then he asks for rewards. I tell him "I think so" and he types in my number. He then tells me it's saying I'm already a member and he tells me that like it's a problem. And I'm like "okay so does that mean I get credit for this purchase?" And he just stands there not knowing what to do and he says "I don't know it just says you're already an existing member". So obviously he's trying to sign me up when I already exist. I tell him that and he says it doesn't matter... I tell him we can just move on and then he looks relieved. I'm thinking like dude, it's okay to not know things but when you don't know go ask your manager or coworker. It's not that hard, it's like he's never worked customer service before. (I've been in that same situation countless times and I've ran across my store to ask what to do). Finally during the end he puts the bottles in a cheap paper bag and hands them to me. Two paper bags, two bottles in each. I've bought liquor probably 5 times and I know that you're supposed to put one in the paper, one out, and the whole thing in a proper bag. He works there and can't figure it out... I have to awkwardly carry it out with my glass I bought balancing on top. I'm writing this because he looked annoyed I wanted to get rewards for the things I'm buying and he can't help me because he doesn't want to learn how to do his job. read more

Three times I put in the online order and once it told me past time i could order. Second and third time they insisted it was listing me as living in Delaware and they don't deliver there. I showed the website customer service that the correct Bradenton, FL address was listed on the website They said they canceled it, order it again. Next the person at the store said they now had two orders for the exact same thing with delivery to Delaware. I explained the situation again. "Oh, well, I can't do anything about that", said the person in the store. "That's the website." The website customer service sent me a 10% off code to reorder. Didn't work -- OF COURSE! and they messed it up again, anyway. Shame; it was convenient; now it's no longer a company i will do business with. read more

I have traded with ABC for about a year now and I like doing business there. They frequently run out of some of my favorites, but that is not their fault. The staff there has always been friendly and most helpful always. If you learn how to shop there are many savings to be had. Ask Christina for help! read more

I lived in West Bradenton for a long while (moved away from the area in general about 2 years ago) and often visited this ABC location. I hate that I never caught his name, but an older gentleman (probably in his 50's-60's) and seeming longtime employee always had decent to GOOD, new wine recommendations. This was about the time I was experimenting with any and all wines and his expertise was much appreciated. He seemed really happy to work there too. It's nice to see someone enjoy his job. I would probably be pretty happy if I got to work around so much booze too. :-) This location also has (had?) a wine tasting table set up fairly often and they have a little clearance area too where you can pick up alcohol or wine they are trying to move out along with other related sundry items. I noted they had a little section of different kinds of not your usual commercial type salsas, crackers and small serving/party type food. It's a large, freestanding location (as many ABC's in the area are) with much inventory and they offer a customer loyalty card progam you can sign up for too. read more

Wouldn't buy from here. Everything is overpriced and you can find better deals somewhere if you're into good liquor or wine deals. $100 for a bottle of the prisoner that's restaurant piece. Drive 10 more minutes and get it for $37. Most bourbon was about 5 to 10 dollars overpriced as well. Much better finds at liquor stores around. read more

After being a customer here for over 4 years I went in yesterday without a mask because I'm exempt there was literally one other person in the store and the clerk automatically asked if I had one I told him I could not wear one and he said why and I said that's personal do I need to leave and he said no dramatically then proceeded to lecture me for 3 minutes and ask why I couldn't order online again I asked if I should leave he said no I said can I shop now he didn't say anything. He kept on berating me and finally while I'm paying and cashing out he comes at me for the fifth time I tell him to leave me alone he does not and continues the other cashier does not stand up for me and let's this guy harass me. Finally told him I'm not putting up with his BS and left. I called and complained to the store manager who was just as rude trying to berate me and lecture me. I called corporate and the area manager called me and again nothing will be done so I will no longer shop here. read more

This place made me fill disgusted of being there because of the white racist cashier in front, my uncle is 57 years old and he was asking for Marlboro light and after 5 times of trying to and cashier only pretending she couldn't understand and asking him what is malbolo, really u can't understand if someone say malbolo instead of Marlboro, and then I just said " Marlboro light short that's what he wants" and she asked for manager because I need my I'd, wtf? I asked for nothing I have my duty clothes on literally I'm marine, I don't drink or ether Smoke but just because my uncle is from Swiss, and couldn't speak perfectly he started to treat him different since the first time he talked. Thank that the store in front was also liquor store and the man was amazing and understood everything my uncle asked for. Don't go to this place unless you are +60 years Florida white old person. The employee at the cash register was an idiot. I'm 62 years old and my 30 year old son was with me, carrying a case of beer for me. He asked for my son's ID, who did not have his wallet. I said I'm buying the beer, but the the employee said because he carried the case to the register, he had to show his ID. After accepting the fact the employee was an idiot, I drove to Publix, recreated the same situation, I bought the beer without a problem. read more

Went with my husband because he wanted a bottle of wine. The guy at the register has served me several times, and even got me to sign up as a member. Today he acted like he's never even seen me. I forgot my wallet at home, but bc I was helping my husband look for the wine, I had to show ID. I even offered to show him a picture of my ID. I always have a pic on my phone as back up. He wouldn't accept that. I even told him that the wine is not for me. He wouldn't accept that. I even mentioned that I came two weeks ago with 3 friends and that I wasn't asked for my ID. I helped my friends look for their liquor last time too. So I left and went to another liquor store with no issues. Helped my husband find his wine, and I wasn't asked for ID because I WAS NOT THE ONE BUYING IT. I understand if I was trying to buy it, or if I looked super young, or if I didn't have a pic of my ID to show. All this for a 12 dollar bottle of Riesling. read more

The new manager 'Jeff' is a lazy tool. On several occasions he has dismissed me and my questions about wine. Apparentally, he is too busy doing nothing to actually help customers. When he is on duty, none of the wine is stocked. When he is asked about it, he says," Come back tomorrow".How rude! WOW..Previous mgrs have gone in the back to check if they had the wine. If it was just delivered, they would open the case to get the wine. I have also noticed him not addressing long lines at the register. What good is a mgr who does nothing? ??? If he really DOES have knowledge of wine, who will EVER know? He NEVER really helps anyone. not customers, nor empoyees, too above that!!!! Stocking or getting wine is below him as well. Never helps out at the registers when busy. Worst mgr ever!! Never want to go back. Serious booo!!! read more
