This is a wonderful place to shop for your alcohol. They have everything you can imagine and more. The staff is really friendly, especially Mike. He is very gracious and polite. It makes shopping here a pleasure. I went to their grand opening party. It is similar to their regular tasting parties. At $10 per person (for all their parties) this was well worth the money. I tried some spirits I liked and some I didn't. Same thing with the beer and wine. This is much better than buying something and not liking it and wasting your time and money. This store is huge. if I could give negative stars I would.... Ordered a product to be delivered, when I received the product it was the wrong product. I called and spoke to someone who claimed to be the manager and told me her name was Alex, when I asked for her last name she would not give it to me. I explained that they sent me the wrong product and she proceeded to tell me that it was Instacarts fault since I ordered it through the ABC app. I pointed out that the receipt had the right product on it so it could not be Instacarts fault as they handed the driver the WRONG product and she still insisted that it was Instacarts fault. We then decided to take the product back for a refund and we found out that the product we ordered was out of stock and they decided to send whatever they pleased. Now it only gets better, the system would not let them process the refund and the only option was to get a gift card from a place I never ever want use again!!!! Buyer Beware... Four solid stars for the store layout and huge selection of wines and liquor at competitive prices and price points. Finally a wine store that kind of sorts its wine varietals by region and (generally) alpha by winery. So if you're looking for a California Chardonnay starting with letter "L" you can find it pretty quickly. I also love the new COVID online order/curbside service. My orders are placed and within 1-2 hours I get an email saying it's ready. I park in the designated spot, text the store and never leave my car. I hope this convenient service stays after COVID is over! Only 3 stars for in-store staff customer service which seems to be lacking. It's hard to track down someone on the floor, and most of the time they couldn't be bothered, and make me almost feel guilty about asking questions or help locating items. It makes me reluctant to even ask if they can order wines that aren't in stock. The cashiers are more attuned to customer service. read more

I've been a loyal customer over the years even after Total Wine opened. I was very surprised that when I tried to buy a case of wine that there is no more discount ! Total wine was price 1.00 less for the same bottle and year, however they give a 10% discount when you purchase a case and ABC no longer offers that discount! read more

There is roughly 2 types of liquor stores. Those that peddle alcohol for people stopping in quick to get a bottle or a 12'er, and the thoughtful stores with knowledge about what tastes best. ABC is definitely in the latter category. I discovered this place years ago when I lived in the area. But even though I don't live close anymore, I like it enough to have driven over the other day. I was looking for a couple specific wines for a bottle share event and wanted a helping hand. Sure enough, as I wandered the isles 2 different guys offered to help. Within minutes I had learned a couple new things about wine, and found a rare bottle of Cabernet Franc. In the front they have a wide variety of bites. I grabbed a couple cheeses and headed out. The trip was well worth it. I can hit other spots for something quick, but when I want just the right thing, I will always hit ABC. read more

For me going to a liquor store is like going to a candy shop for a kid! I get very excited and may go a little overboard in wanted to try lots of new items! We have made many big purchases here for work events and can always find a great selection of items we are looking for. They have a huge array of both White and Red Wines ranging from all different prices and regions! What is different here from any other liquor stores is that they sell Growlers and fill them with their current Craft Drafts. Pricing appears to be comparable and it seems they change their drafts quite often. Recently, we decided to make our own six pack! This is always a lot of fun and they will let you pick ANY beer you see; such as from any other another six pack in the store! Pricing on individual bottles is noticeably more expensive than other "Create Your Own Six Pack" Deals or stores that offer but they have a good selection of different/unique craft beers. Which if you love Root Beer you Must Try- Not Your Fathers Root Beer (pictured)!!! It is The Best Root Beer you will come in contact with! With a large selection of Wines, Liquors, Beer, and a good amount of Champagne (both shelved & in the coolers) you will find that gem you were looking for for your party, weekend, or every night drinking! Although, they do lack in a one stop shop with other party essentials, cheeses, deli items, snacks. They do carry a small amount of each item listed but not near the amount of other nearby liquor stores. Shopping here is enjoyable and easy with a very clean and large show floor. They have their own parking lot right out front. Located right next door to PDQ across from the Coral Ridge Mall. ABC offers members $10 off $100 orders, plus you get points along the way (and so does my credit card). Once I figured out it was to my advantage to keep my order close to $100 (instead of spending more and getting no additional discount), shopping ABC became more fun and I could pick up some really great wines with additional discounts of their own! Great store with a great selection of liquor, beer and wine. Oh my! The have all the top brands at decent prices, and a wide variety to choose from. On this occasion, I was on the hunt for Screwball Peanutbutter Whiskey, and they had it! It is seriously good and currently very popular. They have a nice wine fridge at the front, and a large beer fridge in the back that holds a decent selection of craft beers.They also have snacks, and a nice selection of glasses and gift items. Placed an online order on cyber Monday around 8pm, with the intention of picking it up the following day. Tuesday afternoon comes and I don't receive your order is ready email, so I called the store directly to which Jake said it was ready and didn't know why the confirmation wasn't sent. I go to the store today. 3 employees no one greeted me. I walk over to the express pickup counter and wait a minutes for someone to come over and they don't so I go attempt to find 1 of 3 and find 2. I ask for help at the counter to which they both walk away, and Jake helps me.. after checking my order I noticed it was wrong and said so, Jake made it seem like it was my fault but it's theirs from the beginning. We went in looking for casamigos tequila and unfortunately they were out of it, but the sales associate spent 10 min explaining the different types of tequila and recommended a bunch of other ones based on what we liked. I walked in for my regular ABC visit and was very discouraged from wanting to buy anything due to it being hot and no AC on in the building. The Bottles were moist with condensation it almost slipped out of my hand, I will not be going back till they get the AC is fixed! read more

This location takes customers totally for granted. Staff and management can care less about the customer. Don't waste your money at this location. Support your local liquor stores. Stopped in to see if they carried a Meiomi Chardonnay I was introduced to over the weekend, as I was unable to find it at other local liquor stores. Upon entering the place is clean and their overall wine selection is massive with all kinds of varieties and price points. Unfortunately, even though there were multiple employees in the store I wasn't greeted nor asked if I needed any assistance in finding what I was looking for so it took me longer than expected to find it myself. Checking out the gentleman was friendly and welcoming. Now that I know the Chardonnay is carried here I'll likely be back again. read more

Rude cashiers... I went in with my boy friend to pick up a bottle of wine and they refused him service because I didn't have my ID. I didn't go up to the counter to purchase it with him knowing this and the cashier pointed at me and asked if I specifically had my ID. Didn't even ask my boy friend for his. There are no signs saying you need an ID to walk in the store. Only that you must be 21 or older. I'm a 23 year old professional, and yes was wearing no make up, had my hair back in a bun and was wearing a sweatshirt. Isn't a girl allowed to have a lazy day!? It is unprofessional and wrong to refuse service to customers that are of age. A whole group of young adults in their 20s purchased alcohol before us and they did NOT get asked for everyone's IDs. It's wrong to profile people. I didn't even try to purchase anything. If they are so strict on this policy they should have a doorman checking IDs because this was plain rude. read more

Below is an email of my experience at ABC. No response from ABC manager or corporate hence the review. Bad customer service. If you are happy to be treated poorly then this is the place to go. If not then do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I am writing to inform you of the visit I just made to your store ABC Wines Ft Lauderdale N Federal Hwy and explain the bad experience that I had. I came in to restock my cabinet as I was running low on a few items. After I made my selection I proceeded to the checkout to pay for my items and was served by a miss Imani. She started to remove my items from the basket in an aggressive manor and subsequently broke one of her nails in the process. After she finished complaining about it she began to place bottle netting on one of the bottles and to help her out I said it's okay you don't need to do that and requested she just put everything in a box, as I had a few bottles. She then ripped the net off and threw it on the counter and started to throw the bottles in the box again in an aggressive manner. I didn't receive a thank you for my business or goodbye. I started to leave the store in disbelief at the way she behaved and treated me and I decided to ask one of the staff if I could have the contact details of the store manager because I couldn't understand why she had been so rude towards me. Imani saw me to talking to one of the staff members and shouted across the store "What's his problem - what seems to be the problem?" I walked over to her and explained to her that I did not appreciate her bad attitude and this is not a way to treat people, let alone paying customers. She responded by kissing her teeth and saying "Whatever." At that point I left the store and decided to contact you regarding my experience. I am totally at a loss as to why she had such a bad attitude. I know that sometimes we all have bad days but when you are running a business and serving paying customers this is not the way to treat them. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I won't be using ABC or your services again. Oh, and they will do it with smile and often times come up to you just when they see you starting to struggle with decisions. The best part is - they steer you to the DEALS. ABC Wine It's pretty funny how much I love this place. I mean, I may be a bit of a wino however ABC wine offers a lot more than just wine. They have pretty much every liquor, wine or alcoholic beverage available. Not to mention any and every snack you might want with a beverage you pick up. If you are planning a party and need some party favors, it is a one-stop shop. One annoying this is that they literally card everyone that goes in. For example my roommate and I were purchasing some wine and snacks. She got the wine and I got the snacks however they insisted on seeing my id as well, even though I was just purchasing food.....strange. It is not a big deal but slightly annoying none the less so keep that in mind if you weren't planning on bringing your id and you are with a friend because they will deny you. read more

Well it has a brand new location at 3355 N Federal Highway right next to PDQ and Solid Gold. ABC has become even more convenient making it walking distance from my house. Other than that the place frustrates me on many fronts. An employee calling me a pothead, which I am not. Employees at ABC are not the friendliest. Excellent service; good selection. Oddly many of the "special" priced wines show as "out of stock" but there are still more than enough to choose from. Employees are helpful and friendly and efficient. My most recent order was for pick-up. Delivered accurately and completely and pleasantly to the car within 3 minutes. I have purchased wine elsewhere but my local ABC remains my dealer-of-choice. Always helpful when I need advice, and (pleasantly) sometimes when I don't: unsolicited commentary on my cart. Good selection but the staff is not very versed in what they sell. When I ask for maraschino liqueur and you point out grenadine or cherry brandy I have to assume you don't know much about spirits. Grenadine is neither alcoholic nor is it actually cherry. Maraschino liqueur makes one of the most famous daiquiris from a hotel in Cuba named The Floridian and the drink is named after one of South Floridas most famous author, Hemingway. I don't expect you to know all of this, but I do expect you to not act like I was stupid for asking and pointing out grenadine. read more

Bad experience with suspicious employees! My wife and I were having some difficulties deciding which of their over priced tequilas to chose from as they carried none of our first choices. No Cuervo is not a good tequila! When we were approached by some pot bellied, back support wearing (ie girdle), evil eye giving employee and informed that "we don't normally allow back packs on the store." I see many people on vacation carry these tiny backpacks not any bigger than a decent sized purse. He insisted that we give the back pack to him and allow them to keep it behind the counter. I told him that I trusted them less with our wallets, camera, and other contents than he trusted us. Despite my better judgment, we made our choice and begrudgingly paid an extra $10 than normal for the bottle when I glanced over to the other customer who was wearing a back pack without any questions asked. Now I don't mind being profiled by snobby people ,but damn do I have to accept it from someone who's highest aspirations amounted to stocking shelves at a second rate liquor store. This is a good store from a product standpoint. Good selection, reasonable prices. The service and staff, with few exceptions...is terrible! Attitudes galore as you check out. Getting screamed at "NEXT!!" as you're in line. Staff stares at you as you wait at a register, then ignores you rather then come and wait on you. Sign outside door says must be 21 and older to PURCHASE! not to walk around. I came in with my boyfriend who is 23 and younger sister who is 13. I went up to the register by myself and the cashier told me everyone I was with needed to show ID. I then said the sign says to PURCHASE not come in and walk around. I was unable to purchase and called to speak with the manager. I was on the phone with the "floor supervisor" for 12/2/13 and he was disgustingly rude, yelled at me, and said I should have left my sister outside. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
