Their beer cooler is small so they only carry the very basics. I don't remember seeing any specialty beer. if you are browsing not knowing what you want, this is not the place for you. You are better off going to a larger store. But if you know what you want and want a more personal experience this is the place for you. It is by no means a shabby small neighborhood liquor store. No shady characters here, this is a small boutique store. Just OK for my purposes, but might be just the thing for you.

Great place to buy gifts. The selections for all of the different types of liquors, wines, beers and mixers are unbelievable. You can find anything or everything you are looking for. This liquor store offers a wide selection of wines and beers from countries around the world. It's basically an international store. I love that you can buy a single international beer before you have to buy a six pack. Cozy seasonal displays for the holidays are spread out around the store that include vibrant colors and sparking bottles. If you hit it at the right time sampling stations are set up. Very nice to try samples of different liquors and wine before buying them with the samples because of all of the different varieties. It's really hard to choose. Total Wine has a loyalty program using an app and also by using your phone number when you check out to earn points for rewards. I will be back again really soon.

Because of it's size, it can be a bit difficult to navigate around the store, especially with stuff in the isles. There's been times I wanted something, or to look at something but couldn't get to it because there were boxes of inventory in the way and I didn't want to ask them to move it. The prices match other stores and it looks like they have different sales from time to time. Nice little spot to go to if you're local.

I've been to their other location on West McNab, found it rather good, but note that it has a higher Yelp rating than this location. To make a long story short and my story is near the duplicate of Yelper Tiaryn also reviewed here. I merely stopped by to get a bottle of Bombay Sapphire Gin along with some Fever-Tree Tonic, which I was hopeful they would have to take with me to a party. All of the sudden while looking to see if they had Fever-Tree Tonic a horrid loud argument broke out and with the threats made it had every indication that it was going to turn violent. So, before it did, or if it was ever going to actually happen, I wasn't going to stick around for it and left. I wouldn't about making a review with this content in it, but since it seems to have already happened to others, it's time for me to chime in on it. Also, for being within a seemingly decent area and an OK looking strip plaza, Tubby's liquor could really use some cleaning and sprucing up. And it is on that count I'm going to go a two star "I've seen better."
