Very disappointed with my experience at the Lake Nona location. The store had a Stella Rosa wine promotion that wasn't honored correctly at checkout -- I was overcharged by more than $20. When I brought it to the manager's attention, he was dismissive and rude instead of resolving the issue professionally. The ABC app allows you to place delivery orders and provides a 3 hour delivery window. Just called the store as it's at the end of the 3 hour window with zero updates and "their system sometimes doesn't notify them and they only do deliveries through Instacart". Great tech ABC, always a step below total wine. read more

As far as ABC Stores go, this one rocks. The staff was helpful as I asked for a specific rum and they pointed me to the right bottle. It was on sale and came with a free 4-Pack of Fever Tree. It was my lucky day! I typically shop the ABC stores by their Yellow (Clearance) labels and Red (Sale) items. It makes it easy to find a bargain. The 5 stars isn't for the sale though, it's for the staff that everyone I passed asked if I needed help finding anything. Great job. Always Be Celebrating! After seeing that they had a really good sale on beer, my husband and I headed out to stock up. While there I wandered around looking at their wine options and prices. They had some pretty good wine sales on as well. I liked their set up and displays. Wines were divided by regions and some by style (i.e rose). I was asked several times if I needed assistance and both times I was pointed in the right direction. When they didn't have a specific wine I was looking for, Richard - I think that was his name, made a few recommendations; one was available for a tasting. I took him up on one of the recommendations that I wasn't able to sample, and after trying the wine later that night, I was very happy with his recommendation. read more

On September 10, 2021 I walked into ABC Stores and was greeted by CARLOS introduced himself as he was making baskets. My husband provided me with his PASSING of his test on that day and I wanted to do something special for him. Carlos kindly asked me what I wanted as well as he assisted me to find the perfect gift for my Hubby. He put together a cigar, Gentleman Jack which was a packet on sell as well as Beef Jerky hubby's favorite items. The basket was professionally wrapped and I was so so pleased with the services he provided. I asked to speak with a manager regarding Carlos services. I spoke to Stephanie McCarthy who is the manager and she told me Carlos is the Team Member who makes everyone who comes into the store smile and she was telling the truth. I am a frequent customer at this ABC wine location and I never had an issue until today, 6/27/2022. Me and my friend went to buy two bottles of wine and the assistants manager, Josh, refused to sell the wine bottles because I had forgotten to bring my ID, even though my friend did have his. After telling him that I was a frequent customer and offering to show him my social security , passport copy or ID copy , he still refused to sell it. His tone was very discriminating and his attitude was very rude. I myself am a customer service manager , and I always try to find solutions for my most loyal customers and I'm very disappointed with the way the situation was handled. We had to drive back to get my ID and the second time he did not even ask for my friends ID, which again, to me is simple discrimination. This is one of the lesser ABC locations. Their selection is poor and the folks working there are not very educated on their products. I mainly have shopped there for bourbon and craft beers. Their bourbon selection is very poor when compared to other ABC locations that I have visited. I have asked for specific bourbons multiple times but their answer is always that "we get what we get". Also, don't bother putting your name on the list for the bourbons they only get occasionally. I have done that and they never call. Then I'll walk in and they have it on the shelf. The employees here just don't care. The same thing goes for their craft beers. Both Total Wine and smaller liquor stores have a better selection. Their growler station rarely has interesting beers and is massively overpriced. Here is a clue, a 64oz growler is the equivalent of 5.5 12oz beers (less than a 6pk). On a per oz basis they tend to charge double what the bottle/can cost is for growlers. I will pay a 10-20% premium for draft or more if it is a rare beer but they charge this on regular beers they have in 6pk form. These days I only go there in an emergency out of convenience of location. On the plus they do have ample parking as few people tend to go there. read more

This is one of ABC's newest stores. I decided to check this one out instead of driving to the super busy one at the Loop. I was able to avoid gridlock of obt & John Young by taking Lake Nona Blvd through medical city. Much nicer drive I must say. Zero traffic and few red lights. There was plenty of parking right in front. It's a nice big brand new store. I was looking for two specific wines. I was approached by a female associate who offered help in locating them. She knew exactly where they were. After I made a third selection I made my way to the register. There was no line. The cashier asked me if I found everything and all that. He was fast and friendly. From now on I will be visiting the Lake Nona store. read more

They have what I need at prices (when on sale) that will rival larger warehouse type stores and they are in my backyard. I truthfully go here for all my liquor and wine needs. Not sure why the other reviews. I guess I'm not much of a beer drinker. They have the mainstream spirits and some Caribbean rums that I fancy so I satisfied. read more

I bought some beer and I believe his name was Mike, assistant manager asked for my ID as well as my wife's. She is 30, and capable of buying beer but I asked why he needed her ID too if I was the one buying it, especially when minors don't get ID'd when they're with their parents. His response was "it's store policy, we'll see how you guys do when you have kids". First of all, whether I have children or not is none of his business to make a comments like that. For all he knows my wife and I could be trying and failing. Second of all, that was one of the most unprofessional things to say to a customer. For someone in an assistant manager role, I assume they'd know better. He also never stated why minors aren't ID'd and proceeded to ask me if I really wanted to purchase this beer? This location always seems to have empty beer shelves. They are always "getting a shipment." That shipment never seems to show up though and they never have a good selection of craft beer. I come here because of the convenient location but usually end up leaving without anything because of the lack of choices. read more

I hadn't been to an ABC in a long while as there wasn't one near me in Tampa. When I walked in here looking to stock up for a weekend party I could not make up my mind...there was so much to choose from. The staff was extremely helpful and I feel they truly knew what they were talking about. This location also has a wine tasting area as well as a growler fill station of constantly rotating kegs. They have everything under the sun as far as selection goes and you can ask for anything to be ordered if you need something special. Definitely my go to for any and all adult beverages! read more

Bobby was horrible . he wasnot happy to be a work and just showed it. I gave 100 dollar bill and no one in the store has change which would have been 89 dollars Bobby told me they don't have the money to change out a hundred. So they rather turn business away when I'm a loyal member and go to every abc. Bobby couldn't walk to any other person who has drawers and ask he just automatically couldn't give me change . like you have to be so lazy that you can't ask if you have change. I've been in the hospitality business and customer service for 8 years now. I've always been taught the customer comes first and that you should try everything you can to help the guest. Bobby just had a horrible attitude and didn't even try. Maybe you should think about hiring people with personality and work ethnic and knows how to give good customer service.
