They do have a rewards program so if you go here often, definitely join and you can earn points and save money on a future purchase. Every little bit helps these days. There is also a section in the back where you can grab 2 bottles for $20 which I think is a steal. The prices here I think are decent. I was super excited at their Mezcal choices and ended up buying some of that too after the woman working gave me a sample of one of them. They also have all the staples and prices are competitive or better than what I've seen at some of the other hole-in-the-wall places which jack up the prices for some reason. I kinda miss Pennsylvania where the prices are regulated. I'll be sure to stop in here more often as the entrance is in the same parking lot as Publix which is my hometown store. There used to be an older gentleman here that was absolutely fantastic. He is no longer here and honestly the store has gone downhill since his departure. He made sure to emphasize that the yeast was alive in the beer (which is true with such Belgium beers). The fact that he was so adamant about the yeast made me suspicious. The taste was like vinegar, but knowing sometimes that strong Belgium beers can have different tastes I tried to enjoy it. I drank one and went to sleep. A few days later I got two out to celebrate a good job interview. My mom also noticed the strange taste and commented on it. She took a look at the box and noticed mold at the bottom of the box (I'll attach a photo). This is a massive sign of poor handling, storage, or simply old beer. My mother and I returned to the store with the last remaining unopened bottle with the box and showed the owner asking for an exchange. He again brought up the living yeast in the beer, even when looking straight at the mold on the bottom of the case. When I insisted on an exchange, he offered a fourth of the price of the pack, suggesting we simply consumed them and we should have brought the two open beers with us on the car ride. When I told him how ridiculous that would have been, still simply asking for an exchange he told me to go fuck myself and threatened to call the police on us. I strongly recommend against giving patronage to this store when the owner cares so little about the products he's a salesman of, and treating good customers with such disrespect to add insult to injury (I had within the last month spent over 110 dollars on scotch there). Look at the photos for yourself and decide if you'd like like to support such a 'business.'

We can walk to it right after picking up our groceries. We also love that they have fun tastings once per month with live music and lots of fun things to try. We've bought things from the tastings that we would've never tried before. The staff is super nice and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this place to everyone in Oviedo, especially in the Alafaya Woods subdivision (which is located directly behind the shopping center where GB Liquors is located).

I've been to other Publix Liquors and they look like a liquor aisle in a grocery store with those awful square white "tiles" straight out of an 80's Kmart. This place is tiny. It's 2 aisles and probably one of the smallest liquor stores I've been in. Obviously, that means the selection is more limited than your ABC and Total Wines type of stores. Even most independent strip mall liquor stores are bigger than this place. With that being said, they did have some surprisingly nice selections available, and a small display of "higher end" stuff too. Speaking of tiny, behind the register, there's a pretty nice selection of smaller bottles (50ml up to 375ml) in case you don't want to splurge on a whole bottle. I'd say check the full bottle price first as sometimes it's not much more to go for the full 750. Prices seemed higher than what I've seen, but prices are going up up up these days. I honestly don't know the next closest place to buy the hard stuff (maybe ABC in Avalon Park?), so this is a nice addition to Far East Orlando.
